During the time of my visit, this gas station was surprisingly cheaper than any other stations in my area. It just so happened I was having dinner in downtown Del Mar and noted that the price for premium was a little over $4. Other gas stations I've passed was merely $4.15-4.20. I made sure to stop and gas up! Can't miss this station as it's a main landmark in Del Mar heading towards the fairgrounds. Can get busy during peak times. read more

Wow! This is the most dysfunctional convenience store I've ever had the honor of visiting. Dropped by for a few items and wish I had just went across the street to the nicer store. First the staff working here were pretty damn rude, I get to the cashier and she's just leaning on the counter and I ask if she is open; her reply was just "if you don't want a receipt". I was in a hurry, so I said that was fine; only to find out they don't accept credit cards. It's 2016! All convenience stores should be accepting credit cards. However they do accept debit cards, so I used my debit card to only find out there is a surcharge for using a debit card. This place really needs to shut down. read more

Worst gas station, ever. There is a real reason why they have two stars. I would give them zero, if I could. The cashier was a real piece of work. I suspect that he was the owner because of his arrogance and indifference. Bathrooms were hastily roped off with tape. When I asked to use one, after filling my tank, I was told they were 'broken'. Both, I asked? He said yes, which was a total lie. I told him it was illegal to not have a working bathroom for patrons and he basically told me off with few words. On my way out, I saw someone urinating on the side of the building by the trash bins. I will definitely contact the better business bureau or whoever it takes to report this. I am realizing that I have an addiction to cracked pepper sunflower seeds. I was introduced to them by the parents on my son's baseball team (damn them) and now cannot seem to get them out of my head. So what does THAT have to do with AM/PM you ask? Well AM/PM is one of the few places that sells them.....that's what. As with any AM/PM, this is a junk foodies paradise and I am happy to say I have NEVER eaten any of their food. Regardless, as with all, they have everything imaginable; food, drinks, etc. and the gas is usually quite a bit cheaper than other stations however they will not accept credit cards. This place is conveniently located off of Via de la Valle to the West of the 5 Freeway so on / off freeway access is a breeze. This store seems to be a little older and was a bit dirty but I wasn't there as a health inspector, but rather to curb my addiction. read more

Not the best gas prices. They used to be super competitive but not anymore. I come here for gas only if I am out of gas and can't make it to another station near me in CV. They are very conveniently located and the parking isn't abundant. Easy in and out and close to the 5 which puts them in a good locale. read more

There are not many things you can review a gas station for. 1. gas prices are descent for the neighborhood 2. Conveniently located on a busy street corner so it depends which direction you are going. 3. Cleanliness is not an issue here that I have seen.(did not use restroom) 4. Selection of food and drinks is pretty good and stuff is priced reasonably. This is not the best gas station in the world but it is evident that they are doing the best they can with what they have. read more

This place is the pinnacle of poor experiences. The employees are so rude and very short with their customers. I'm confused on why they work at this place, they clearly do not enjoy it. The facility as a whole is worn down and dirty. The snack selection is alright, but it's just a gross place. For an Arco, which I always felt like has great fuel prices, this location is just as expensive if not more than everywhere else. I will literally go across the street from now on even if that Shells gas prices are also outrageous. Avoid this place is you can. The fair/racetrack traffic is already reason enough but if you can make it across the street or down to Flowerhill mall that is your best bet. read more

And did I mention this location also has the cheapest gas in town? Oh wow, this is almost too much to take in...seriously, I was choking on a corn dog. Hot damn! Hot damn, I say. Why deal with the stress of getting in shape when what really makes me happy is walking out of a 24 hour junk joint with a bag full of BBQ sandwich, corn dog, sausage dog, Slim Jim, 24oz. One of the clerks who works at this location is extremely rude and unprofessional.Lady with short brown hair and gravely voice.She can't count change apparently because when my boyfriend was trying to give her change she kept rolling her eyes in an unprofessional manner.I was still standing there but when my boyfriend walked out she went off on him about him giving her change as I was standing there.We are customers and we give that store a lot of business.If she can't count change or doesn't like it she shouldn't be a cashier.Extremely disrespectfull. read more

I have never seen such inefficiency in a gas station. Don't bother stopping there. The first pump I stopped at didn't take my debit card, since in any case you can't use a credit card. There's usually an independent payment machine so I tried that, but all of them were out of order and had signs that instructed customers to pay inside. I finally went inside to pay, and there must have been 20 people in line. I finally gave up and moved my car to another pump that finally took my debit card. Last time I'll stop there. read more

Great location - horrible service. We had rented a U-Haul and needed to fill it before returning - as I didn't know how much it would take, I went in with a credit card for them to hold while I filled it. This was about 3:20PM on Wednesday, April 1. The attendant insisted I need to provide them an amount - although I said I didn't know how much it would take - "can't I just do a fill up?" I asked. He said very rudely, "we don't do fill ups here - if you want to fill up, go across the street to Shell." Being a business owner, I can only imagine what AMPM management would think if they knew their employees cared so little about the store's revenue. FYI, the AMPM in Carmel Valley has similar service issues - we don't use it either because of this. The only reason I used this AMPM is due to it's proximity to U-Haul. Unbelievable! read more
