I would just come in for coffee in the morning even if I did not need to gas my car. It was that good, they also had great drink specials as well which I also used to come by just to get it. I never did try their food which they also have but then again I have never tried Wawa's either. There is something about gas station food that turns me off no matter how good people say it is. Their gas prices are fair though. I was in the area and needed gas so I came down memory lane and use this gas station. I also came in to get pick up a coffee, and I was pleasantly surprised by updated machines they have. You will never ever get cold coffee from here, as each cup is made individually to order. It is a little high tech and the clerk have to show me how to use it but after I got the hang of it (after two failed attempts) I had the best gas station cup of coffee I remember having in a very long time. Yes and that includes Wawa. This area in North Lauderdale is getting a lot of love. A lot of stores have opened including a super Walmart over the last few years, and a brand new plaza has surfaced as well. It is becoming quite the little commercial center. Race track is by far the best gas station in the area.

I noticed that three of the pumps were down and the other active pumps had commercial trucks stationary and their driver's were in the store. While waiting for an open pump, I checked out the store for the first time and cashed out my FL Lottery tickets. The clerk was somewhat friendly and confirmed the temporarily inactive fuel pumps. The store was sparkling clean and the manager greeted me. They had a unique Beer Zone walk-in cooler that had many brands of beer in freezers and cases stacked high. They were advertising a Vermont Waffle Burger which looked crazy tasty but a heart attack waiting to happen...lol. Another interesting item was next to the fresh brewed coffee machines was two separate cappuccino (white chocolate caramel, pumpkin spice, french vanilla, brown sugar cinnamon and hot chocolate) machines where you are permitted to bring your own mug sized up to 44 oz to fill a drink for only $1.00 - yes, the sign displayed said $1.00 and I confirmed it with the manager, unfortunately, I was not prepared today with my giant mug. Anyways, the men's bathroom had beautiful wood plank flooring and was clean. As I exited, the only active pumps were still in use so I left without fuel.

This…read more particular 7/11 has really nice people working there and even when there's a line it always moves really quickly. 7/11 has a rewards program and the savings can really add up. I know some people probably turn up their nose to eating food from a 7/11 but I've had several things here that weren't bad at all. Their hot dogs are good and some of their sandwiches are also good. You won't find any gourmet meals here but like I said there are some good choices. They also sell different toiletries here and even things for your car like motor oil. Need sunglasses? They have them! Some of the prices are marked up a bit but for the most part their items are comparable to those in other stores.

Gas prices are usually the lowest around, and there's plenty of pumps, which of course is great. I do wish they kept up with the bathrooms, as they aren't clean. Although the lines were long from both the Sunrise Boulevard entrance as well as the side, the employees were working hard to serve everyone with courtesy and one of them even had a smile--which is a lot to ask in the scorching SOFLO heat! Open 24/7, and I might say 365 days a year, this location has a tunnel car wash, a couple of stand-alones that dispense water & air, plus a vacuum. Outside of the convenience store, they have a machine for bags of ice and another for propane tanks. Speaking of convenience, their store is stocked with a variety of snacks and other products. At times, wine and cigars have been sold, but in all honesty, I didn't leave my vehicle today to confirm that they still do. In addition to beer and other bottled beverages, fruit, and on-the-go bites, they sell baked goods and espresso. The current workers are bilingual (English-Spanish) and that's a plus in this area of West Broward county, Florida.

Thankfully, it's one of the larger BJ's gas stations I've seen, so there are plenty of pumps available. One thing I like about getting gas at BJ's is that the prices are usually lower than many other stations in the area. Another great feature is that the hoses are long enough to reach either side of your vehicle, so you don't have to worry about pulling up with your gas tank on the same side as the pump. There is a service attendant available in a booth if you need assistance, but otherwise the process is completely self-service. You'll need an active BJ's membership and must scan your membership card before the pump will activate. After that, simply pay at the pump with your card and you're ready to fill up. Overall, the station is easy to access, well designed, and despite how busy it gets, I was in and out in about 20 minutes.
