I stopped by this evening. This is a nice truck stop. Very clean. All of the employees that I talked to were nice & pleasant. I ate dinner in there restaurant, Nick's. The service was good, food quality was great. I had the turkey dinner. It was as good as any I've had anywhere. Better then Petro. You get more than enough. I will be back. Stopped into eat at 595 Diner influenced by latin & american themes, asked for steak dinner $25 , was not available, only Churassco at $18 - Instead ordered the mushroom Swiss burger medium well, instead waitress says no mushrooms available, they made it a bacon cheddar burger instead well done. Can drinks only no fountain, the burger was huge a good 1/2 lbs. lettuce & tomatoes very fresh. Not exactly what I ordered but still tasty & bacon was crispy. $16 plus tip. I needed tires on my RV and was advised that this facility could do the work of putting all 6 on my vehicle. It's not a huge RV, just a small camper van with regular LT tires 225/R16's. After 6 hours, waiting and watching....I asked about the balancing, and they advised that they would not be able to do that as they didn't have a machine small enough. This was costly, and while the people working were relatively friendly, the fact that they didn't advise me 0f this PRIOR to doing the work was shady. I will not go back, and learned a very expensive lesson in that when I drove away at 35 mph I felt as if I was on a vibrating machine ride. All of the tires need to come off ALL SIX OF THEM, and they will need to be balanced. Lesson learned. read more

my last week experience was horrrible. i usually dont make reviews but i really needed to express this matter all i have to say is all the years i have been driving and coming to this truck stop i have never in my life encountered such a unprofessional cashier. she do not have any awareness when someone walks in he door. when i approached the counter i had to get her attention because she had her head down in her phone while another lady was helping another customer. while ringing me up she did not have the curiosity to stand up like the other lady was while helping the other customer that was inside. there was not any greetings to make you feel welcomed just rung me up. i went back the next evening and the same lady was there. she did not know i entered the store. i got my items walked up and she had her head down in her phone for a few minutes as i was standing there. i got greeted from a lady coming from a room behind the counter. im very happy the other lady came if not i would have still been standing there because the other lady did not care to look up until the other lady said something. this is very unprofessional and i am very disappointed in the service i got. thanks to the other lady she was nice and helpful. if you see this lady walk back out she not going to know she even walked in. 595 is going down hill read more

This place useta be the talk of the town, A-1, fun and safe. Now it has surcome to the locals, parking is hardly available due to locals, and trash trailers &trucks. Also the rude and annoyed ppl at the fuel desk would rather you bother the shower guy if u can find him, and as for showers, I'd rather be hosed off, outside in the dead of winter, than go through the medical bills and bug extermination again. The outside bar & grill is this places saving grace. Great food,hearty & cold drinks. I always have the steak for dinner or shrimp & fries for lunch. Alotta food for the money. I stop by here needing a shower after going to the beach in the area. I wanted to go checkout the fort Lauderdale area, and didn't want to drive back to kendall to shower. The shower i used was clean, 13 bucks to use it. It's a little bit of a mission to get here from the highway, but it's a good truck stop to take care of what you need. read more

Where do I start ? Takes an hour to get in and 1/2 hour to get out. Fuel is expensive, no window squeegee, air lines are always broke, bathrooms are dirty, showers are dirty. Security doesn't care and many trucks get damaged. And don't use the mechanics they are not certified can't even do a proper oil change. 2 hours to patch a tire Unbelievable ! Credit card purchaser **BUYER BEWARE** We had a company driver stop at this station. Was charged the credit card price (which is fine, he used his credit card) but he was ALSO charged 3.99% charge for using the credit card. So they will double-charge you fees. When I called to question this $32 charge on $600 of fuel (they charged us 3.99% on the pre-pay amount of $800) and was put on hold and just left sitting...no one picked back up. read more

This truck stop has the kindest people working there. Truckers must leave their license at the desk while using the shower. After showering, my boyfriend went to the diner and had a great steak and baked potato. In the process, he forgot to go retrieve his license. My husband is a driver. We have been going to this place well since they opened. The bar wasn't open yet at that time. The next time we were there it was open. We didn't have any problems. Well about a month ago we were at the bar waiting on the guy to cook the steaks. I order my steak medium. My husband orders his medium rare. Well it was overcooked. So i tell the bartender/waitress which I thought was a cool person with me. She gives me the slip were she wrote the order down and tells me to take it to the cook. So i do. She accuses me of crossing out were she wrote medium rare.Why would I do that? It's my husband's steak. They blamed me for her and the cooks fuck up, so she wouldn't have to pay for it. Most of them are crooks but i heard there are few good stand up guys there. I don't mind tipping good service but POS mechanics get no support from me. Used to be my husband and myself s favorite truck stop but the price to park went up and we were told by the police that it's not a safe place to park. Do not leave you're laundry unattended for one minute. We had 2 loads of wet work clothes stolen out of the washers. The lot is full of local trucks so parking is hard to get at times. The food in the diner is awful as well. We won't go back unless we just need a place to sleep. read more

Truck stop is ok but stay away from the diner. The owner reminds me of Seinfelds Soup Nazi. Last week I ordered a steak rare and the cook sends it out gray on both sides and gray all the way through. I sent it back and the second steak came out gray on one side and not even flipped over so the other side of the steak was red and raw. I paid for the coffee and salad I had already eaten and left. I went back today and ordered the special, roast pork, it was shredded pork that was way overcooked. I sent it back and the owner came out and the waitress looked like she was about to have a tear in her eye. The owner angrily wanted to know what was wrong with the food, I told him I ordered roast pork instead I was served small chunks of overcooked pork. The owner tells me they don't serve roast pork only shredded pork. I pointed to the specials board where it clearly says roast pork. He then says the waitress says I send food back all the time and that the waitress has to pay for all the food sent back. I asked her if it was true she had to pay and with her lips quivering said yes. I looked at the owner and asked what kind of person makes the waitress pay for the mistakes of the cook. The owner kicked me out saying don't come back and he does not need customers like me. Businesses are made and broken, one customer at a time. I don't expect the 595 Diner to be around long. BTW, check and see how many health code violations this establishment had this past January. I wish I knew this before eating here. read more

Where do I begin.... ok let's start with parking. Getting in the gate sucks within itself, super tight and cars parked everywhere. They charge $20 a day I've heard more on weekends and Holidays.... which is reasonable considering many do but they don't consider the fact of buying fuel or a shower which is dumb ! If you buy something in the store like eat at the restaurant shouldn't the $20 fee be waived ? Also, good luck finding parking after 3. There were more dropped trailers and people's cars than anything. Very frustrating ! So moving on , the lot is filthy ..... they could at least try to keep the place nice for as much as they charge. We counted about 5 cop cars , security and regular police ..... who stare at you like hawks . We wanted to take a shower because we worked all afternoon, showers are normal priced but they asked for both of our IDs and kept them, then were very strict with shower policies , 30 minutes only and must return towels to the front in order to get your Id back and they sit there and count every towel to make sure you didn't take them Ok the store is alright , there's a separate building with a CBd shop, massage parlor, and arcade room but with the shady people hanging out staring you down you would be better hiding in the truck all night, feel bad to be a woman alone . Hung onto my boyfriend all night ..... they accused me of being underage trying to buy practically anything ok moving on again the restaurant was good . Highly recommend. But that's about the only thing they have going for them. Everything else sucked. The restaurant gave it an extra star. I get they tried but it went downhill, you would be better stopping somewhere else then trying to come here. read more

Well I stopped by this truck stop because I heard they had the best charbroiled steaks in the miami area and I got there sat outside the bar enjoying the evening with the other drivers waiting for 9:30 to order me a steak well the waitress on duty took my order and every one else's order and went on her way well everyone got their steak but me I am a owner operater ,American/Mexican and all the other drivers were white it's sad to still see this kind of treatment and when I asked her what happened she said she had 15 orders in front of me and that I had to pre pay so I said never mind cause by this time it was passed 10:30pm and I had to rest so if you plan on coming to this place and you are not the right color don't bet on getting a steak here you will have to settle for hot dogs at the fuel island. read more

Descent little truck stop with everything you need; diner, clean showers, mechanic, radio shop, chrome shop, cb shop and a sports bar. Parking cost $ unless you fuel. If you arent lucky enough to get one of the few spots in front lot be ready to go 4x4ing. The back lot is a dirty, dusty waste land of trucks and trailers that look as if they havent moved in years. Also pot holes will sink your truck if not careful. With all the money they make off drivers it would be nice if they would at the least throw down some gravel and fix up the back lot. But all in all considering the area youre in its not a bad place to stay. read more

Energy shots on the shelf for sell that expired in 2012, no milk......... Large selection of beverages, just make sure they're fresh. Have a diner, the Gulf Shrimp were Huge!!! Everything else was ok, a little over priced though. My wife's chili cheese fries were as high as my shrimp diner. RIP OFF!!!! STAY AWAY!! They're over charging you for parts! They charged me $550 for a alternator that cost $250 at freightliner. When I brought it to their attention they said they already put it on after they told me they wouldnt have it for a few hours. They told me at Noon that it wouldnt be there until 2:30pm. At 1:30 I told them about freightliner having it way cheaper and they were over charging me. So I said well the part wont be here until 230pm so cancel and get it from freightliner. That's when they said it was already on the truck. That was at 1:50pm. I saod how it's not supposed to be here until 230pm.. he said ooo it came early. I said ok how much are you charging me for time because it's only been 45 min. He then said 2.5hrs!!! I was like WTF!!! You're over charging me for labor as well. It literally took him 30 minutes to put on and yet hes charging 2 5hrs. I asked where are they getting this rate. He said a Chart! I asked was he talking about the MAC CHART which all mechanic shops are supposed to use. He said No, he didn't know what CHART they were using but still over charged me the time and cpuldnt explain how a .5 job got bumped up to 2.5!! All in all they charged me for 2 alternators, they HAD THE PART ON HAND!! They lied that someone was bringing it, had it the whole time and then over charged me for labor. It's a maintenance SCAM!!! I am a mechanic I know how they run this game!!! They're NOT TO be trusted!!! They're RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!! $950 to change a alternator that took .5 minutes to do!! read more
