I'm becoming a big fan of this place. For some reason, I knew it existed but didn't really visit. Wow, it's really impressive. It's a quaint little place. The coffee is delicious, especially the cold brew. They have ready-made burritos and croissants, which are reasonably priced and delicious. Other food made to order. Staff is super friendly and quick. I can get in and out of here with a cold brew and delicious sandwich in hand within five minutes. read more

Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters - Menu nice selection of sandwiches. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Hadley, Massachusetts

Such a perfect, cozy coffee shop! I've heard from the locals that any Shelburne Falls cafe has the best coffee and I am here, as an outsider, to say I seem to agree. It's strong and hot and not bitter. I've only ever stopped in at very not busy times so there never seems to be a wait. I of course had to try some of the pastries, because my sweet tooth would not allow me to leave without a little something. Can confirm that the pumpkin bread and the biscotti are delish and both pair perfectly with a hot latte. They had some tables, but I just grabbed my coffee to go. Worth a stop in! read more

Stopped at Greenfield location after golf Easily the best breakfast sandwich I have ever encountered... forget the name of what I got but it was a bacon egg and cheese w special sauce. Bagel was so dialed in, especially since it was 2 pm and likely sitting there all morning Id go out of my way for this sandwich read more

My friends love this place! It's okay. They were playing that song home, the corny one, so minus points for that. Coffee good, prices not too bad. Ambience and location decent. read more

Very patient and helpful staff, amazing and unique specialty and seasonal coffee/beverages. Fresh made cafe food. Worth the wait in line when there is one. You can't go wrong with anything you get here. read more

Terrible experience. There was no one in the shop when we got there at 4 on a Saturday. Simple order, 2 coffees took 19 minutes to prepare. Loud music blasting and the entire place was strewn with every kind of trash from rubber bands to napkins to loyalty cards, crumbs etc. disgusting. Will never go back. read more

Shelburne Falls Coffee has the best coffee and tea in Massachusetts. The tea is addictive, and so is the coffee. The service is great, everyone is very nice. One thing to take in mind is that the wait time is not very good, you might have to wait 10-15 minutes for just two coffees. Besides that, this place is great! read more

This is like my 800000th visit to Shelburne Falls Coffee. I'm such a massive fan of everything they make, from their delicious cold brew to their delicious sandwiches, you really can't go wrong. Plus they just dropped their new fall offerings (pumpkin spice is back!). If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a cold brew. You'll thank yourself later read more

Hadley location; The Coffee is great, they often take risk in their seasonal lineup and I absolutely love it! There ok when there slow, there almost always better when in a coffee rush, I assume it's due to labor. However usually very friendly overall. Wish the flow of the store was a bit better, as there no proper place to stand for your order, one to many tables along the windows. read more

Delicious. My favorite coffee around... the best decaf hazelnut anywhere. The coffee is smooth and creamy.

The best coffee, food and service in Hadley! Always enjoy going here for high quality breakfast and lunch, fast and reliable service which is amazingly competent, considerate, and courteous, and fast. This cozy place is a real treat with platinum level standards. read more

Imagine the most quintessential New England coffee roaster, where you feel entirely taken care of the minute you walk through the door -- and Shelburne is just that. The coffee options! The milk/"milk" options! Free samples! Free take/leave book library! Postings for goods and services! Cozy study nooks! Free wifi! Communal work or chatting tables! 40's ballads crooning overhead! I am charmed to the Nth degree. Their Buckland breakfast sandwich on a croissant is so nom -- it's essentially a sausage, egg, and cheese but -- or just wait, there is maple syrup drizzled inside like it happened accidentally as a kid when you overflowed your pancakes with syrup so it ran into your eggs and sausage - only here, it's just wrapped up for you ready to go in it's own singular perfection. Their Christmas Mocha is delicious -- other than the fancy bubbles on top I'm not sure I taste a real difference than a normal mocha but it's still perfectly balanced as a mocha! Shelburne's was recommended to me by a old friend who grew up in the area and just recently moved back -- and I am so grateful to have checked out this gem. Don't let the strip mall, big box neighborhood fool you! If you want a slice of New England independent shops that is clearly dedicated to building and sustaining local communities, Shelburne is the spot! read more

Hadley location: Service is a reasonable speed for the area, and staff are generally pleasant. Plenty of seating. Coffee's great, and breakfast sandwiches are reliable. The order-ahead option online is a good feature. read more

Worst customer service ever! Zero out of five stars. They have an awful online ordering system that doesn't work and a no phone orders on the weekends policy. I was very busy on my way to pick my mother up at the hospital and wanted to call in a cup of tea for her they would not let me do the call in order And told me I could only order online. After trying several times to order online I called and asked if there was anyway they could do a phone order due to my situation, and they replied no. When I drove by their store 15 minutes later there was almost no cars in the parking lot. Super bad customer service and unnecessary rules make this place not worth it. There are so many other good coffee places in the Amherst area, that actually care about their customers experience. It's too bad because this place used to be good but I guess they've gone corporate. read more

So happy I found this little coffee shop on my drive from my hotel to UMass so I could stop for some breakfast and caffeine. There are some really nice flavors of coffee and a great coffee bar for which includes all the milks to serve yourself. Oat, and almond are also available at the self serve station! The first day I can here I ordered a hazelnut iced coffee and added some oat milk to it. Super creamy and great flavor. I also got the East Hampton breakfast sandwich on a sun dried tomato bagel and that also hit the spot. It was made pretty quickly, it was nice and warm with melty cheese and was maybe a bit too greasy to eat in the car while driving, but I managed! I also came back here the next day and got the summer menu iced coconut chai latte. It was delicious! Would 100% recommend coming here for some great coffee and food, the pastries also look amazing and I will try one next time I'm in town read more

Great sandwiches, great drinks! One of the best places to grab a bite for breakfast (or lunch even) around here. I love it more than the traditional breakfast places here. There's a breakfast sandwich that has maple syrup, I forget the name, but it's the best sandwich there in my opinion. They have seasonal coffees and my favorite at this time is the sugar cookie latte. Yum! It's also a great place to do work. There's a bright side and there's a little dimmer side so there's an option for everyone. And when you come later in the day, the lunch sandwiches are available so you can have my favorite, the spicy turkey sandwich, while you do work. YUM. read more

Shelburne Falls offers the best coffee and service in the Hadley/Amherst area. Since discovering this place a few months back, it has become the ONLY place I go for coffee and here is why: Firstly, their coffee selection is phenomenal. They always have flavors brewed into their coffee for an array of options that will suit anyone regardless of their "coffee-style." Whether you're a coffee-connoisseur, or you just like a sweet drink, there are basic hot coffee and iced coffee options for you. Secondly, their seasonal specialty drink selection is always original and well-crafted. Check out their instagram or a facebook for a list of their specialty lattes and cold brews for this season! If you're on the fence about trying one of these out- GO FOR IT. Thirdly, but importantly, their breakfast sandwiches and pastries are the best in the area. The sandwiches are a good size, very satisfying and TASTY. I recommend the East Longmeadow. Their pastries are superb!! You cannot go wrong with their mixed berry scone. If you're in the area and considering wasting your money for breakfast and coffee at Dunkin or Starbucks, drive a little farther down the street to Shelburne! read more

We like finding coffee shops when we travel. This one is solid. Yogurt parfait good size but I expected fresh fruit not the gooey defrosted kind. Breakfast sandwich on English muffin was a better choice. They were out of croissants today. Free WiFi, $1 refills on coffee. Overall good not great. read more

Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters - Cozy vibe, but on a major street, not in downtown setting - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Hadley, Massachusetts

Very cute place - both the library themed seating area and the staff. My BLT on a bagel was delicious with the bagel warmed but not difficult to bite through and the bacon the perfect point between crispy and flexible. Perfect for the sandwich. Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters - BLT on a bagel - delicious - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Hadley, Massachusetts

The place is cozy. My coffee was delicious. The breakfast sandwiches were fine -- standard. The staff is kind and they hustled, but breakfast took a long time. I think the staffing model isn't quite right. I'd come back for coffee but if I was in a rush I'd likely skip ordering breakfast. read more

Although the employees are nice, service is incredibly slow. Having to wait 10-15 minutes for eggs on a bagel is a little ridiculous.

Very friendly staff and great selection of coffees/sandwiches! I had the maple latte, local specialty and can choose from either 1 or 2 or 3 shots!, which wasn't on the menu. Just ask and try. It's a little on the sweet side but it went very well with the Shelburne Falls English muffin I ordered. It's savory, egg/prosciutto/pesto combo. Try it! read more

Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters - Maple latte & Shelburne Falls - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Hadley, Massachusetts

My go-to place in Western Mass for a quick breakfast and caffeine run. One small black iced coffee and a Shelburne Falls on an everything bagel please - simple and delicious. When was a prosciutto, mozzarella and pesto combination ever a bad call? I've never ordered anything else but my friends have all enjoyed their other options, such as the Hadley. I wish they would go back to having a "wall menu". It was convenient and a nice touch to the atmosphere. Now you walk in and theres a line of people each looking at their individual menus - small change but big difference. Good thing I always know my order ahead of time. Their houseblend coffee has always done it for me but maybe i'll be a daredevil next time and try something new. Calm ambiance with plenty of tables so you shouldn't have to worry about finding a seat. Friendly staff with quality food and award-winning coffee. I will definitely be back. read more

The food and drinks are always good and the vibe is cute but the wait times are absolutely atrocious. Waited 45 minutes for one sandwich and the workers were straight up wandering around and working slow. It wasn't even busy but everyone there had to wait 30+ minutes for food read more

First time here because I got a gift certificate. Always have gone to Starbucks but now I found my new go-to place! The staff are really friendly and accommodating (I've never met the owner, who according to yelp, is a dick) Coffee is very good, I just drink black coffee though, no fancy drinks for me. Between Amherst and the highway, I've not found anything comparable. Local business with vegetarian breakfast sandwiches (veggie sausage!!) with good coffee and fast service. I think this place deserves more than two stars. Esp with dunkin literally right across the street. read more

I work down the street so I've been passing this place every day for a while now. There's always a ton of cars and I don't like getting out of my car in the morning rush. I made the smart decision to go in the afternoon when it was nearly empty. Straightforward menu, bagels looked ehhh but I'm a bagel snob. I think $2.70 for a bagel and cream cheese is ridiculous but there's some who think otherwise. The coffee prices are beyond reasonable though. I got a large iced hazelnut for just $2.56! Across the street at DD it's definitely more like $3.25-50. My first sip I knew I'd made a smart choice. The hazelnut is very prevalent and I'm glad. It's not a wimpy coffee either thankfully. It's self serve sugar and milk station which doesn't matter to me I take it black. But overall good place and I'll happily go back! read more

At this sweet, little local coffee shop, I have never been so proud to be a "regular"! My boyfriend and I make sure we save twenty minutes before our UMass classes to stop here: it's THAT good. Their coffee is my favorite in the area. They have a wide variety of flavors with strong, lovely aromas: my favorites are coconut cream, a medium roast called "first light", french vanilla and a holiday special called "Christmas morning". Their breakfast sandwiches are so delicious, served by friendly and energized staff: I recommend the Noho for vegetarians: with soy sausage, mozzarella, egg, tomato and onion & chive cream cheese. YUM. It's a great place for gifts, as well. Be sure to ask for a coffee card that gives you free coffee after ten drinks or so. You can keep it there, tacked up on the wall, so you never lose it. You can find a sweet seat in the sun, or in their back room, a zen-like "living room" with places for students to set up their laptops and study. Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters is a charming local roaster that makes me proud to live in the Pioneer Valley. read more

On the plus side: very good coffee, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. But, there are some drawbacks. They seem to be often understaffed so it can take quite a while to get your sandwich or a coffee drink that they need to prepare. For regular coffee, they give you a paper cup and you fill it from an array of urns. Specialty coffee drinks (Americano, cappuccino, etc.) are also served in paper cups, which are often too hot to handle. They often don't ask whether your sandwich is to go, so even when you plan to eat there, it comes wrapped in foil, not on a plate. I really like to use china plates and cups when I am dining in. For that reason, we usually go to Share in downtown Amherst. read more

As Jason said, air vents still caked in black. Looks gross. Back room not illuminated. Looks ghostly and sad. As for the coffee experience, I ordered a macchiato and got what was basically a latte with slightly less milk than a latte - a cortado, basically. I really didn't want a mostly milk drink, so I went up to reorder - a straight espresso. It was on the house, and I didn't even ask for that - pity it was burned and mostly bitterness, which may explain why they make macchiatos as cortados. I've had the drip coffee at other Shelburnes, and its pretty good. Not great, but pretty good. It's 2015 though and standards have raised. Starbucks just moved in across from you stealing your location exclusivity, and places like Tart and Rao's have a much better cup. Don't commit slow suicide by being merely better than Dunkin Donuts or The Donut Man! read more

Love the food and the coffee is decent, giving this place a 1 star because of the last 2 experiences here. Ordered a cold brew only and had to wait 10 minutes for them to fill my order. While I was waiting they took care of the big order in front of me and the order after me. All I asked for was a cold brew, hoping to get in and out of the store as soon as possible so that I could move on with my day. Very annoyed with the service that I got. Also, want to mention that the person who ordered before me and after me were white and had longer orders than I had. read more
