This means, that the coffee you get here is going to be Catalpa roasted beans, but with a higher selection of "fancy" pastries. (The apricot croissant I had was very very delicious. ) I do not love Catalpa espresso as much as Shelburne Falls coffee, because it has a very sweet taste with a bitter finish, I prefer something that is more of an earthy or mellow light roast. Just smelling the ground coffee makes you think of something flowery and sharp. They have limited breakfast sandwiches and a few drink specials that remind me of what they have over at Catalpa . Unfortunately, because all three stores are linked, that means none of them have soy milk anymore, which is my go to espresso add-in. It is even still on the sign at the counter. The staff is friendly, and it's at a nice spot near where Shelburne Falls used to be. Their main advertisement is their croissant, so four stars for having a super delicious croissant.
