Their chocolates are very good
Enit S.

Ana Bandeira is a super unique store that I wish I had visited more often. Everything they make seems to be well crafted, but especially their chocolates. The passionfruit-filled one was my absolute favorite. Good quality ingredients are evident in these chocolates. I'm really anxious to try their hot chocolates as they make several different kinds using legit chocolate, not the powdery fake stuff. They also make sandwiches and some other light foods that looked really good and another reason to stop by again in the future. The young lady working that day was very helpful and friendly. I saw a lot of students working on their laptops so the environment itself is calm and relaxing.

Popped into this cafe on a freezing day because I was craving hot chocolate, and this place did the trick! The drink was rich and frothy, with real whipped cream and chocolate shavings to top it off. Inside was a bustling and cozy environment. Lots of places to sit, looked like it was well loved by locals. I was surprised to see they offered a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options and so many fun drinks to try. Will definitely be back!

Chocolate Chip Coolie, brownie and chocolate bark
Jason P.

I've been coming to Northampton for over two decades, and I was surprised to see ABC while walking to lunch. It seems less than a year old from what I can gather. Around mid-afternoon, I stopped for desserts to bring home to my wife and son. I tried a brownie, a chocolate chip cookie, a piece of chocolate bark, and a savory galette. Overall, these items were about average. The household favorite was the brownie. It had good flavor and texture. The chocolate chip cookie was decent, but not really noteworthy. The bark had a unique point of review. The only add in seemed to be those thin crispy matchstick potatoes you can buy in grocery stores. The chocolate was on the sweet side and the potatoes didn't really work for me. I prefer the classic add ins like nuts, salt and fruit. The savory galette didn't work for me either. It had some type of cheese, apple and onions (I think), but the flavor was completely dominated by what seemed like a bit of Dijon mustard. The flavor was too assertive. The texture was fine, but not on par with my favorite bakeries. The shop was cute. There were a number of people hanging out and/or working. I posted a pic of available drinks, but I already had a coffee. Service was friendly. Three Stars. I probably wouldn't repeat, but it may be worth a visit if you haven't been.

If I could give Ana Bandeira more than a 5 star rating I would. Service was great and the coffee and pastry even better. This is located where Pastisserie was before. It's an easy walk from any parking area and it's open on Sunday! Bright and airy inside as well as warm and inviting. This was my first time here but I will be back. If pastry's not your thing, focus on their chocolate!

We stopped in on vacation in Northampton and had a good experience. The cafe is beautiful, chocolates look amazing and there is a good assortments of baked goods and savory food options. The girl at the front register recommended a Spanish latte (it was awesome) and made some food recommendations to my husband. I had pao de quejo. They were yummy, but I was told they were fresh out of the oven and they definitely weren't. My husband had a benedict that he was really excited about but ended up being so lemony that it took over the taste of the rest of the dish. Despite the downsides, we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely give it another try!

Large amount of tea leaves to 12-oz mug (approx 10-oz with teabag ).

My friend's daughter who attends college nearby recommended stopping here. Their chocolate has a higher sugar content than Dandelion in San Francisco, which made my taste buds happy. Their ratio of tea leaves to tea is, IMO, off. Way too much tea for the amount of water in the cup. If I were to come back I'd ask for 1/2 of the leaves "to go" to make later, or ask for a large to-go cup. Cute little chocolate shop otherwise. It hits the sugar cravings.

Very nice, old charm cafe and desert place. Excellent sweets, Great place for deserts. We enjoyed it on our travels to the area. Strongly recommended

Very cute and unexpectedly good breakfast! Loved the sandwich and the cocoa, perfect drink for summer when you want a hot cocoa but it's too warm! The place is very cute and I will be back

I wasn't sure if my mind was playing games on me, but on my last trip to Northampton this chocolate stand was called Heavenly Chocolate, and now they're called Firetype Chocolate. They simply decided to go for a new name. They're just a small stand located across from Share Northampton. The chocolate variety they offer is anything but small. One little truffle will set you back almost $3.00. As far as I could tell everything is sold individually, not by weight. I got some of the chocolate that sounded a bit interesting, also the barks are a bit larger than the truffles. I got the Salted Almond Bark, Maple Honeycomb and another one that's very similar. These are such quality chocolates. The honeycomb is a bit sticky, and you might need to floss your teeth right after. They also have a small selection of gummy candy. I got the pear, these are soft and juicy. These are unique, flavorful chocolates, that any chocolate lover is sure to appreciate. Firetype Chocolates are made by hand right here in Northampton. This is their only physical location.

The line can be out the door at times, but the staff work diligently to keep it moving. The seating can be tight but it's a nice place to hang out if they have the space. Fun wall hangings and always their signature bears keeping us all company! The only downside to this place is that it is so well frequented, as it should be, that some flavors sell out quickly. It will be there one day and then not the next, so get it while you can. Or alternatively, you can email them and special order a flavor you love that you keep missing. I love that they do this! As for food, it may be served on what resembles a dissection tray, adding to the distinctive experience. Iconica Social Club is a great place to catch up with friends, go on a first date, find a chill spot to get some work done, or catch some tunes (they have live performances). I stopped by with a friend, and we ordered the Cardamon & Honey Latte, Dark Chocolate Mocha Latte, and a slice of the London Fog pound cake. All three were delicious! Our order was ready pretty quickly and the staff were very friendly and attentive. There is ample indoor seating and outdoor seating. There is a second level that we didn't check out, but there is seating there as well. Accessibility isn't an issue, as most of the establishment is a single story with a ramp leading to the main entrance. Plus, there are two gender-neutral bathrooms located on the main level. There isn't parking directly near Iconica, so you'll have to find parking either on Main Street or one of the smaller side streets. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm in Northampton. Highly recommend!
