1st time getting my makeup "professionally" done, seems like she rushed thru it. Makeup was just ok, definitely not worth the price.

Sheena Marie is great! I love getting my makeup done and I use multiple make up artist throughout Chicago. From my experience Sheena Marie is the most professional. Also, they have multiple artist so easy to book same day appointments. All artist are very talented. I have had my face beat by multiple artist and have never been disappointed. In my opinion Sheena is the best artist though. The only con I would say Sheena is on the expensive side, but the service does match the price. She also does have famous cliental .They do charge above average for makeup services. Also, I wish they had online booking. They are very prompt with answering the phone appointments though. Sheena Maria is also big on marketing I love the Instagram page and she really invested money in the website. It's impressive. "Perfection from start to finish." I booked an appointment for makeup application. Upon arrival, I was immediately acknowledged by the receptionist. I completed the new customer form and waited a few minutes before I was greeted by my makeup artist. The artist, Sepi, was extremely pleasant and professional. She took the time to find out what I wanted and made suggestions as well. The final result was a flawless application that was picture perfect. I received so many compliments!!! You cannot, I repeat, you cannot find another beauty squad better than Sheena Marie Glamour Squad. I learned about SM from a Facebook friend which posted pics of the bridal party makeovers and she was one of the bridesmaids. Now, my friend is already beautiful, but the makeup made her glow. The only way I can describe the bridesmaids makeover is "natural, romantic and beautiful". From the foundation color-matching, to bronze highlights, to sensual, but not overdone eyes and natural,nude lips. It was picture perfection! Sheena Marie has glamorized me on three occasions and I hope to call on her for years to come. I went to get my makeup done for prom and I honestly thought they would do a good job with my makeup but honestly the foundation was horrible EXTREMELY horrible it was so dark on my skin it looked so bad because it wasn't my color and I cried when I got home because I had to take it like that to prom and it was the night where I wanted to feel pretty but they made it horrible and I felt so insecure about it.NOT ONLY THAT but MY APPOINTMENT WAS AT 3 and they Moved to 3:30 I was even late to prom because of that. I Arrived at the western location around 3:20pm in 8/10/2018. My appointment was at 4pm but I figured I'd arrive early to get a good parking space and beat rush hour traffic. When I arrived they told me to have a seat I waited until a young lady asked me what my name was etc to which I responded and told her my name and then she said "I think you're here for me, I'll take you back." I went back there with her to find a client in her chair to which she spent about 45 mins on this clients face. Then finally the other makeup artist asked me who I was there for and FINALLY gave me an intake form. By this time it was well after 4pm and since she didn't have anyone I'm thinking I was gonna get in her chair but NOPE, I filled out the intake form and she disappeared for like 15 mins. Finally she led me into a side room with a young lady who clearly was isolated from the other makeup artist and I got serviced after 4:30pm which is very disappointed b/c I got there early and had to wait for unorganized service! I felt bad for the young lady who was off in a closet basically and didn't have he nice professional ring lighting and her chair was super uncomfortable and space super small. Overall the service was unorganized and I felt disregarded and felt the new makeup artist who did Mr makeup deserved better than to be in a closet! Smh my makeup was nice but I wouldn't go back there due to the lack or organization and making a 4pm appt and not getting seen til after 4:30pm. read more

Brides BEWARE!! If I could give Sheena Marie a -5 I would! I booked Sheena for my August 18, 2019 wedding. As you may know she is extremely high, but I chose to go with her because I loved they way she did my bridal consultation makeup. At my consultation she guaranteed me that she'll be at my location to do my wedding makeup. I signed the contract and paid her high a** fees. So the day of my WEDDING two makeup artist shows up at my location to do my bridesmaids makeup. The hairstylist was there to do my hair. As my hair was getting done, I asked the makeup artist what time was Sheena coming to do MY makeup. They replied by saying, "oh, she sent us. (Then the young one who looked about 17-18 years old said, I'm doing your makeup). They said, Sheena couldn't make it bc she had a business conflict and she's in New York." I went off!!!!!!! How does a "professional" business woman operate in this manner?! I was NEVER informed that she WASN'T doing my makeup! She didn't even have the decency to let ME chose an alternative mua! Hell, I paid $300 for HER to do my makeup...not an 18 year girl who was asking the the other mua how to apply makeup! After calling Sheena's phone to get an explanation or at least a d**n apology, she didn't answer! So I texted her and told her exactly how unprofessional she was and my 100% dissatisfaction! For crying out loud, it was my WEDDING DAY! Soon after, one of her workers TEXTED me claiming they forgot to inform me of time conflict and that I would get my deposit refunded. This was on 08/18/19, as of today...10/21/19 I have yet to receive any refund! I've called, texted and called again several times! Nothing! My advice for ALL brides is to think twice before booking this unprofessional, overpriced, unreliable company for your SPECIAL DAY! I wish I had...as if a bride doesn't have enough to worry about! I'm still angry because I have yet to receive a simple apology from Sheena! read more

I reserved an appointment a month ahead for my maternity shoot. The appointment was scheduled for 3:30 PM and was estimated to take about an hour. When I arrived around 3:20 PM there was no one there. I had to call 3 or 4 times before finally getting through to a receptionist who then informed me that she could not contact the artist Lavonne that was scheduled to do my makeup. After disconnecting and calling me back I was told that Lavonne was across town and unable to come to the scheduled appointment that I'd paid to reserve. They offered me service at the Matteson location which was an inconvenience because it was an hour away (During a snow storm might I add) and my photo shoot was at 6 PM. In an attempt to compensate me they refunded my deposit and the owner Sheena offered to do my make up for free another time. I reluctantly decided to accept the offer for the following Saturday which was the day of my baby shower. I reached out to them to inform them that there was bad traffic due to construction on my route and I would be running late. I was told that Sheena would not wait. I reached out once more to inform them that I would arrive earlier than expected and was told that Sheena left the studio after 5 mins into my scheduled appointment time. This was the most disappointing and inconvenient experience I have ever experienced with a "professional". I was absolutely disgusted and annoyed at the lack of flexibility and unprofessional-ism between the entire staff and would never attempt to use their services for anything again. read more
