I am a long-time veteran of lash extensions and have had sets from very natural to very thick and voluminous. This was my second time going to Glamrum to see Yashira and I loved my results as usual! The first time I went, I got a hybrid set and this time I returned and wanted the classic application (single lash application). I already had some lashes on from another salon but they were growing out and sticking out all crazy. I told Yashira what I wanted and she got to work and wow, did she deliver! She worked with what I had, doing a blend of C and D curl (as I asked for D curls!), removing what had been grown out, and seamlessly blending all the lashes together to come out with this wispy, beautiful final product! It hits somewhere right in the middle between natural and dramatic, and I absolutely love it! I want this style every time!! Another thing that is important to mention: she takes her time and does not rush a process that should not be rushed! There are several places doing lash extensions and I have experienced both "good" applications and "sloppy" applications. I went to a place once where they were able to do a thick volume set in right around 1 hour but speed is not always the best quality! They were applied way too far out and one lash to several lashes rather than one-to-one, causing clumping and itching as my natural lashes grew. This both damaged my lashes and caused them to be insanely "spiky" and irritating! At Glamrum, however, she really takes her time and is patient, applying one false lash to each natural lash. This fill / adjustment took about two hours but I am grateful to have well-applied lashes that will keep my real ones healthy and irritation-free. It really is so important. Yashira has her own practice inside a really cool layout of space where rooms are rented out to small business owners. She microblades as well! Her little salon is clean, neat, and comforting. She plays calming music throughout the process and you can either chit-chat or take a nap! Most importantly, she is true to her word and very attentive to detail. If you let her know what you want in the consultation, she will do her best to work her magic and give that result to you. Furthermore, she stands by her business and will rest at nothing to ensure that you as the customer are both given a fair deal, and satisfied with the results! So, once upon a time I was a long-time eyelash extensions gal...5+ years. I had a friend here in Chicago who would do them for me, and out of nowhere, after 5 years, I started having severe allergic reactions, so bad that I had to have them removed and stop completely. I saw Becca for a lash lift + tint, as well as a brow tint + lamination. This was my first time receiving a lash lift or my brows laminated. My only prior experience getting my lashes tinted was at a big box eyebrow + makeup counter (iykyk) and it was an absolute horror show, so I was a little scared going in. However, Becca was so gentle and talked me through every step, which you don't realize how much you appreciate until your eyes are "glued" shut for an hour haha. The process was so relaxing and my lashes look insane (see photos below). Now I feel beautiful just rolling out of bed in the morning. Next, we did the brow tint lamination. I had a great experience at Glamrum! First of all, the space is super intimate so it wasn't packed, which I appreciated especially during these times. Yashira did my classic lash extension service and it was a seamless experience. I feel like she went over all parts of my lashes to make sure each area was covered and I had asked for a Cat eye look and she delivered!
