This little gem is nestled in Roseburg Square, right next to my favorite taqueria. The owner, Maria, is fabulous and so are the other stylists. One stylist in particular is Paige. PAIGE IS AMAZING! Not only is she the best colorist and designer I've had, her customer service goes above and beyond the call of duty... VIP treatment, if you will. Always making sure the process was running smoothly and checking in constantly to make sure there was no chemical burn occurring. I went to this godsend salon after being stood up by another stylist at a different salon TWICE. It was LAST MINUTE and it was a service that really required advance notice because it involved a specific color. I called everyone and wanted to find somebody and it wasn't until I called shear glamor that I heard a friendly voice trying to help me in a bind. My quarantine roots were so grown out I was desperate to get in. Paige got me in last minute and did an awesome job to get me to rose gold. When I walked in I had DARK salon quality color so my expectations were low in acheiving a color that needs pale blonde to get good results so I was blown away when Paige was able to get me to a really pretty rose gold. She sat me in the dryer while the hair was lifting and ran to get me starbucks. It was the only time I have experienced that from a salon. Then, she told me to come in the next day (her day off, Ya'll) and finish the service. The result surpassed my expectations in every way and it has been a while since I have had customer service this good! And the Prices?! the price was a third of what I expected! I have decided to go back to Shear Glamour because my usual person is fully booked, and I had worked with Lope, who was great. The price is really affordable for a women's haircut, and the staff are friendly. However, I didn't enjoy my experience there because when paige cut my hair, it turned out to be uneven after I straighten them after I got home. I have long straight hair but a little bit bend at the end. During the first trial, Paige didn't try to straighten the hair to see if the length match, but just tell me that they will be even once I straighten them... She cut my hair within 15 mins, and didn't let me check the back of my hair with a mirror like other hair dresser usually do to see if I am satisfied. It was very careless, and doesn't seems like the hairdresser care to ask the client about what they think. After I found out my hair that's not even, I call them back, and they immediately scheduled an appointment for me to go back in. I would praise them for that! When I went back the second time, even though Paige was apologetic, but seems like she was kind of just roughly fix it. I had to point out the problems, and she struggles to see it. She had to ask another hairdresser to help, and the new person did fix the unevenness on the button of my hair, but the shape looks so funky. I had to point out to them that, one side is a straight line and the other side had layer... She fixed it, but man, it really sucks to have to constantly point out the obvious when I am not even the professional. I am not sure that I will entrust them with my hair again. read more

Hello ,so I posted about this salon like months ago .tonight out of the blue ,i get a tx from the owner .gosh I wish I could post the thread ,lol.sge says how dare I put a bad review,she continues to say she couldn't make my dark hair blond .it was so brassy red,I should of went to another salon to achieve the results I wanted basically.my response was ,well gee ,guess u guys there just don't know how to color hair ,in the first place ,even though I left with really bad hair ,I still tipped the poor girl 30.00 bucks ,she never should of been employed honestly.hiw she passed beauty college,I just don't know ,so I called the owner days later ,I'm like I can't be seen like this ,she never offered to refund my money .she offered me to pay (lol) to go back to my original color.im like no thanks.long story short ,I got my hair recolored a few days later ,I'm the color I wanted ,I don't know if she was drunk tonight and wanted to give me a piece of her mind ,but why get mad at the brutal truth .I'm the one who should be mad ,a 30 dollar tip,a bad color ,and more money to a different salon ,oh and by the way .I've been having my hair colored for 20 years,my hair lifts lol.im sure she will msg me over this post as well. read more
