Where did Russell go?? The 2 best bartenders in the place were Tiffany and Russell! Now Russell got "fired"?? No reason to go now...food is good but you can get that anywhere. So who is taking his place? JENN??? OMG does that mean that her under age daughter will be sitting at the bar and DJing? Will we have to wait 30 minutes while she yells at her boyfriend on the phone and hangs with her drunk friends to get noticed?? Whoever made the decision to let Russell go made a HUGE mistake. I hate leaving a 1-star review, but the 1-star is for the server and her alone. She was super nice and attentive. Otherwise, the place felt filthy, the table, floors and bathroom, and then exactly 24 hours after eating there, I came down with fever chills and toxic bathroom issues, so something in my meal was rancid or under-cooked severely. Visiting from out of state. Was only place open early evening on a Sunday that wasn't fast food, so we came for a bite across street from our hotel. Definitely a locals favorite. It was loud and not crowded at all. People enjoying lots of libations. Menu is regular bar food. Bartender who was super nice was also the waitress. Ordered a bottled beer, wasn't very cold. Think I got a restock one. Didn't say anything. Bartender working alone was prwtry busy. Took way too long for salads. Once we got them we stared at them for a little while longer because we never got utensils. My husband got a Po Boy sandwich which was good, and my buffalo chicken bites were also good. We ordered some to go food, for our kids waiting back at hotel. Quesadillas took waaay too long, and when we got back to hotel to open them it wasn't what we asked for. Specifically cheese and chicken only. So my kids didn't really eat them but I did. They were good. I think if I was just coming for drinks I'd really Like it here. But to eat, it was OK. Food was okay. Good for bar food. The waitress we had was so rude. We came in before 9'oclock which is before the 21+. The waitress assumed before she even checked IDs that everyone at the table was under 21. Everyone at the table besides two of us girls were over 21! The whole night she continued to call us "kids" and as we walked out she proceeded to say "have a good night kids be nice to your mom and daddy". So rude. Stopped by this spot since I'm in town for a work trip. Plan was a quick drink and head back to hotel. The vibe was so chill, I'm back here again! Shazzy's is rocking a 90's vibe with musical art, great tunes (live music Monday night), good prices and the food was on point! Wasn't expecting to eat dinner here but I ordered boneless chicken bites and a pizza yesterday. Ordered lemon pepper wings and a turkey wrap today. Tim was my bartender (believe he is the mastermind behind the design), great service and even better people. Highly recommend this spot! read more

Ordered an Old Fashioned and one of the three people I've seen behind the bar said he couldn't make it because he didn't have oranges or cherries. An Old Fashioned is just whisky, simple syrup and bitters, he put beer and orange juice in whisky saying it was the best he could do. He seemed intoxicated and it's hard to tell who works here and who doesn't. It seems like the employees treat it as their personal playground rather than a place of business. The greatest, most homey bar around town. My boyfriend and I took our pup to the lake for a fun filled day, and wanted some drinks and a bite to eat after... we were told that no dogs were allowed by two restaurants before finding this gem. I'm so happy the two restaurants told us no, because this place is incredible. Good food. Great drinks. Immaculate people. The waitress was very kind and polite. My girlfriend and I went on a Tuesday. It wasn't busy at all and the food wasn't that bad. I'd like come back and see what it's like on a game day. This is Hunter and Adam, we order takeout from you guys almost every Sunday. The first month was fantastic. However, the recent weeks have been a major disappointment with the both of us. We ordered a medium-well burger and received a burnt piece of meat. The next week, we hesitantly ordered a well done burger and received a raw slab of patty. That same order we ordered a shrimp po-boy and were never told that there was no shrimp to make said po-boy. So instead they proceeded to make the sandwich with extra sausage and asked if that was okay after rather than telling us there was no shrimp or simply calling us back. My wife and I stayed in Buford, GA one night and found Shazzys, tried it out for dinner and it was great. The place has a great vibe, people having fun and funky decor. The staff were also great, knowledgeable, honest opinions of food. The food was very good. We had wings as a starter (very good), I had mushroom swiss burger, cooked exactly as I asked for it. First time here. I was looking for a casual place to hang out, have a beer and get some wings. Shazzys did not disappoint. Bartender was very friendly and helpful. It's a locals hangout, and although I'm from NJ i didn't feel uncomfortable. I ordered the medium wings. They were amazing. Not too hot , just right. The wings were huge ! The burger meat tasted a little old and had a lack of flavor. Paying $3 extra for a side salad instead of fries ($13 total) is high. You can eat cheaper than this on the lake at the Twisted Oar. Tried this place for the first time. Was not disappointed! Have been a Hammerheads fan for over 4 years, and still am, but this place is like the old Hammerheads. Great place to watch the game! The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I would like to come back soon, but hopefully the management has plans to clean the windows (which were pretty grimy) and to spruce up the entryway around the inside door. No attempt at decorating it at all. I know it's a sports bar, but first impressions of cleanliness are very important for most customers. Food was pretty good and reasonably priced. Went there today during my lunch break with a group from work. Got extremely bad food poisoning from a burger that was over priced and pretty sure contained bad meat. Another lady ordered a burger and is currently going through food poisoning as well. I had to leave work today because it!! Never again. Could of went through Wendy's across the street and it would of been cheaper and better. The waitress seemed frazzled, confused, and couldn't put complete sentences together when talking. The fries were half cold and chewy. They look just like the crinkle ones from the freezer aisle at Publix- nothing special really- except for the copious amount of pepper spilled all over them. Small town bar and grill with a load of atmosphere. Mostly regulars and return customers are the norm, but everyone is friendly and inviting. Plenty of TVs to catch the game on and enough parking for two wheels and four. Owner is great and makes sure everything is held to his standards. Nice menu selection including burgers and wings and competitive prices on drinks. Karaoke, live acoustic shows, and trivia throughout the week really liven things up. We LOVE the food and bartenders here. We've come to this bar for over a year and been faithful customers. We have ALWAYS paid with a credit card. Today we paid, they have newly implemented a 20% charge on all credit cards. The bartenders explained as reasonably as possibly. After we made a comment to the bartenders about the charge, a "manager" in charge continued to point to a 5x7 on the wall surrounded by dollar bills and continued to put us down. One of our group members went back into the restaurant after we left and talked to the owner who explained rationally the new charges, unfortunately they have lost our business after a year, at least once a week for a year because of their "manager" who was beyond disrespectful and hopefully no longer there. It isn't hard to become a manger in a restaurant, but it is hard to learn how to have customer service, he was on duty on a Tuesday night shift and was sitting with guests at the bar and casino machines. Thanks Joe for the fun year but unfortunately your manager tonight lost you some major service from a house boat party almost every weekend!!!
