He tightened the hinges, cleaned the fan and the heat sink, and applied fresh thermal paste for the CPU. When he installed the new power jack and recharged the battery, he noticed the computer was running slowly, so he asked if I would like to replace the old mechanical hard drive. Long story short--my boyfriend was thrilled to have his computer running well again. I appreciated Jason's work so much I brought him an old (over 10 years old!) MacBook to see if he could make it run faster. He transferred all my files to a new drive, replaced a broken trackpad, and changed the battery. He proceeded to navigate me through several potential fixes. None worked and it was determined I was hacked and locked up by someone who "really knew what they were doing." Aaron reccommended to wipe the hard drive and start over asking to drop off the two devices at his nearby home in Indian Wells. Aaron then immediately worked on the issue for next several hours. This is Sunday evening mind you after a 6 hour drive from Phoenix. By Monday morning I had picked up my laptop and tablet and was back in business. After parking and walking a long distance to the entrance, I went up the stairs of the difficult to find building only to find myself very confused by the vast number of businesses in the building. Called Fenson Tech Support about 3 weeks ago now. Received an immediate answer. That made me…read morevery happy. I found Mr Fenson to be extremely personable and helpful on the phone. We agreed to have him come to my house to put a VPN on my network... or rather at the network level. I have plenty of concerns about security and privacy of home networks and usually this issue has not been addressed by some sort of security software installation. I've used VPN's before and unfortuately this time I was having issues with the day-to-day functionality of the particular VPN I had installed (surfshark). As it turns out its a very bad VPN product and most of the regular every day websites that I needed to go to like banking online was restricted when surfshark vpn was engaged. Andrew (thats Mr Fenson), came over on schedule for the day and time that we picked and he proceeded to work on my VPN situation. We ended up switching providers to a different VPN (pure vpn). This one seemed to work in my case. However, installing it at the router level just didn't work and he recommended that I buy a different router. Since I've just purchased the current router just 3 years ago I don't feel it's received enough use compared to what I paid in price ($900). I will keep his suggestion in mind for future planning. Also, while he was at my house I asked him to take a look at my laptop and erase all data and re-install Windows 11. I also wanted him to do this by bypassing the required username and password and having to be online in order to log into the computer. This issue is one of the worst things that Microsoft has done to their software as of late and I remove this feature off of all my machines. I also don't want to be forced to use a password if I don't want to... I will decide that later. So Andrew was able to do all of this with no problem but I think he didn't quite fully understand my initial request. After a few more tries, some follow up phone calls, Andrew came back to my house to finish the install the way that I wanted it. In summary, I fully recommend Andrew for any of your computer, networking and security needs. He can set up security cameras and network all of them for you as well. Maybe I wasn't clear enough on what I wanted but eventually we got there. Andrew is young and extremely intelligent and I know he will go above and beyond to help you with any of your computer tech needs. I may not be his ideal customer because I'm not your typical 80 year old person who has just learned how to plug in a computer... I grew up with this stuff and I'm more advanced than most... I even build computers. My latest computer that's sitting on my desk right now, I built, and its got a $2000 graphic card in it, 56 Terrabytes of Hard Drive Storage, 128 gb of RAM... so I'm not your average user. I know that Andrew can help you with pretty much anything you need and I will be calling him again if I need him in the future...
