    The button NYPC destroyed. $180 to fix this @ Apple.

    Brought my iPhone 7+ in for cracked screen replacement. Employee agreed, said everything would be fine. Half hour into the repair I hear him say "oh s***" from the back. He comes out showing me the home button he had just broken, and told me that he would reduce the price of the repair because of that, trying to stiff me out of my money even though he had just broken my device. Told me the repair can only be done at Apple. What? I urged him to give it to me for free because he had just caused IRREVERSIBLE damage to my phone. In the end, the screen was replaced, but the BUTTON doesn't work. To clarify: the button is "married" to the screen. Only Apple has the software to conduct this repair. I didn't know this. What good does a screen to for me if the digital touch button doesn't even work? The owner is acting as though giving me a screen for free was some kind of "gift" for my troubles. Apple appraised the total repair to be $180 for the screen AND the button, as they come as one setup. NYPC should have known this, when taking devices into their hands for repairs. No one asked me if the device was/was not under warranty. "Assumptions" are not an excuse. You broke my phone. Without a button, it's useless. To fix what NYPC had broken, at Apple, it will cost me $180. The problem I have with NYPC is that they agreed to do a job they couldn't do, and it's going to cost me $180 to fix this. Nobody reached out to offer to cover these damages. Avoid taking any Apple products here. I'm sure NYPC does many successful repairs, but the way my device was handled is inexcusable. DO NOT agree to do a repair you cannot do. RE: Owner responded. My response to him: Noah, clearly you nor your staff understand how the newer iPhones work. The touch-ID sensor, which you broke, is "married" to OEM screens. As a consumer, I didn't know this. You agreed to the repair, being a technician, you should not have done this knowing your staff is as incompetent as they are. Your "assumption" that my device is under warranty is one of the most childish, pathetic excuses I've ever heard from a business owner. Own up to your mistakes and increase your credibility by doing so. Apologizing for the damage you've caused will not help the expenses I have to cover for YOUR negligence. I advise you to direct message me, so we can exchange information since you refuse to cover the Apple repair (I will show you the invoice), therefore I can take immediate legal action against you. Thank you.

    A total mess with a bent corner. Angel worked his magic and it's good as new now.

    They don't do repairs anymore. Only software-related issues. It's a shame because they were pretty good in the past.

There is no pressure--just information. I brought my boyfriend's laptop to Jason after it fell, damaging the DC power jack. This has happened before, and we weren't sure it could be repaired again. Jason assured me it could. He provided a very reasonable up-front estimate for the part and labor, which I gladly agreed to. Once he opened up the computer, Jason diagnosed a few other problems. He tightened the hinges, cleaned the fan and the heat sink, and applied fresh thermal paste for the CPU. When he installed the new power jack and recharged the battery, he noticed the computer was running slowly, so he asked if I would like to replace the old mechanical hard drive. Long story short--my boyfriend was thrilled to have his computer running well again. I appreciated Jason's work so much I brought him an old (over 10 years old!) MacBook to see if he could make it run faster. He transferred all my files to a new drive, replaced a broken trackpad, and changed the battery. It works like a dream now--and for a lot less $$$ than it would take to buy a new one. Jason knows his stuff! I will definitely be back with any computer repairs I need in the future.

I could pay $1000 to fix it but refused to give it to someone of your low character. Your energy is DARK man.
