Decided to try Shawarma for the 1st time. What better way than to go to this location. I've read bad reviews about this place but I wanted to give them a chance and try them out. Well the food was really good. I got 2 sandwiches, Falafel and Gyro. The Falafel was a bit dry for my liking but the flavor was surprisingly good. The Gyro was really good. I was surprisingly ok with pickles in my sandwich, it really went well with the gyro and the tzatziki. The customer service was very good. It was only 2 people when I went there and the food was done in a timely manner. One of my sandwiches came with fries and a drink. The fries was perfectly crispy and seasoned. This is a very beautiful place to say the least. The decor isn't expensive but beautiful. I will be back soon.

I drove by this area daily and finally able to stop by. They have a spacious patio and the inside is nice considering in a gas station. Food wise was nahhhh... and price range is consider high for a place like this (fastfood option)

Great spot for Shawarma, chicken tenders and smoothies connected to a convenience store / gas station and open until 1am most days. The owner was also saying that they used to serve and make chocolate three years ago (hence the "chocolatier" in their sign) but they stopped. Small but cozy interior as well. Recommended!

Up until a few months ago, Shawarma Stop easily one of my most frequented late night spots in all of H-Town. This place was swimming with potential: a fairly extensive outdoor setup, a pretty good array of quality foods, and open super late. Since it shares the space with a gas station convenience store, it's the perfect spot to grab a bite after pumping some gas. Then, new ownership took it over and it's been a steady decline ever since. For folks who were familiar with the previous operation, there have been a number of changes: -- They're no longer open as late. It's no longer a 4AM destination but instead a place that closes just before midnight. (Last order at 11:30PM) -- A lot of menu items are no longer being served. Fondue. Burgers. Crepes. Waffles. Many of which exist on the menu but are no longer being served in actuality. In fact, the fondue / sweets are is completely empty now. -- Much of the (Lebanese) teas are also no longer served. Now they've brought in a Community Coffee iced tea dispenser; tackily sitting in the corner. It was a little sticky when I last used it. (i.e. someone needs to clean this station often). -- The buzzers are gone. Now it's just call in and order and that's it. -- At one point the hookahs were an attraction, but I don't see any offered anymore. For the food that is served, it's a hodgepodge of mediocrity. The shawarma wrap that I used to love has now become a mushy, flavorless concoction. The meat didn't taste too fresh and the sauce was a little overbearing. After a few bites, it got a little gross. The same goes for the lamb. Hummus was also a huge thumbs down. My mixed grill platter was probably the best thing I had from here, but even at $23 for a modest portion, was not memorable. I do genuinely feel for the people working here. Part of me wants to sympathize with the sinking ship, but the execution is extremely disappointing. While I hope they can rebound, I'm not likely to muster another visit here for a long while.

My husband and I eat a lot of Mediterranean food, and there are a lot of options near our home. We usually get gyro king or gyro hut, but seeing as this place is so close I figured I'd try them out as well. Menu options are very similar to above restaurants, and we got gyro over rice and salad. The gyro meat is pretty good- more heavy on cinnamon than most places which I actually like. Food was done relatively quickly and service was good. Their prices are a couple dollars higher than other places and overall I liked them just a bit less. The food here is fine but I think I will stick with my usual spots for Mediterranean. Of note, I did see a sign that says they serve halal for those who are interested.

Here for a routine MDA hospital visit for my husband , we stopped at this very small corner cafe - I ordered a chicken Shawarma - side of beets and Baklava for dessert. Food was freshly prepared and full of flavor - truly enjoyed every bite of my meal. The baklava square was good, the baklava roll was not as good in my opinion... I will return again .... I have had better baklava , I will go back again to try another entree. We purchased combo , but forgot to get our drinks!!! If you try this place out, I suppose you get the drinks out of cooler, they do not give them to you. Just FYI

I would say they make good chicken shawarma and cheeseburger in overall. I would prefer kofta plate but I would have to wait 12-15 min for that, so we chose wraps and burger for a child. Taste was good but chicken was dryish. It was not juicy at all and sauce was not as light, I assume they use lots of mayo instead of yogurt or labne. Was nice little stop spot for a quick bite.

Mango juice packaged/ delivered in a bag. Spilled all over the bag and on my food. Very careless!

This place has HORRIBLE customer service!! I ordered on Door Dash and they sent my drink IN THE BAG with my food. It spilled all over the bag and my food. I also specifically called and asked for extra garlic sauce and they STILL only sent ONE garlic sauce. I also received NO PITA BREAD with my order even though the menu clearly says that the meal comes with Pita Bread. The food here is also not great. The lentil soup was very watery and way too salty. The chicken was dry, and the rice was not fresh. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I will NEVER order from here again.

It had great Persian vibe including music played. Food and drinks: Very good selection of traditional dishes that were not westernised as in other Persian restaurants. The food was fresh, well seasoned and was full of flavours. The meats were moist, salad and starter tasted fresh. Pinch of sumac which was available on each table was a perfect addition to our dishes. Highly recommend hot Persian tea. Pricing: $$ - very affordable for the quality and quantity of foods received.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

My recent visits here consisted of a Gyros Plate with rice, Hamburger with uncut tomatoes n pickles…read more& lemon potatoes and Greek Spaghetti Meat Sauce on Sunday Special. All 3 meals were really flavorful, good quality, really well-seasoned, very juicy and so delicious. The gyros and burger are without question imo the best in TX. Ekko's and Nick The Greek are 2nd n 3rd for Greek food for me. I always got the gyros sandwich as opposed to the plate before which is odd bc I always prefer meat plates over sandwich form in other foods like bbq, steak, etc. The meat pieces were all really tasty and had some slight char to them too. The taziki sauce is always cold, creamy in feel and refreshing with a good yogurt aroma to it. It's a great bonus and the gyros didn't even need it tbh. The tomatoes were nicely refreshing and the exotic, cool center dolma is always a little treat with meals here. The rice and chunky lemon potatoes with my meals were always mild but still great in texture and prep. As I said before; from my experiences in every single Greek cafe, if the taziki sauce is good, the gyros will be too. It's a solid symptom and indicator imo. As for the burger, very rarely are burger places only in TX actually any good for the past 15 years. So many are just average or below lacking seasoning or a great overall flavor. Niko Niko's, Goode Company Hamburgers and TX Hamburger Palace are my top 3 in that order for it. Each different too. The brioche buns were just the right thickness and very soft to make the beef patty stick out well. The patty was so nice in charbroiled taste, saltiness, richness, beefiness and tender in every bite. A good burger doesn't need much in toppings, but cool, refreshing, tomatoes are a must for me and pickles add some tangy crunch too. For steak rare, but for a burger medium to medium rare. I had never seen or heard of their Greek Spaghetti n Meat Sauce before. This was like a Greek Bolognese with a lot of love in its flavor. The noodles were drained, very moist and so soft. I don't like too much cheese, so I took some off, but still like some. The meat sauce gravy itself was really flavorful, savory, fatty enough and had that subtle sweet, warm spice aroma you get in the Greek lasagna. I like to get dessert here sometimes when I have extra room, bc they have some great options like their galaktobourreko, chocolate ganache cake, etc. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient on these visits.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.

The chicken shish kebab, falafel, lamb kebab, and menemen were all well seasoned and paired nicely with the many dishes of rice, salad, and flatbread they all came with.
