Any time I'm in town I hit this place up. Specifically like the chicken kabab platter with hummus and Turkish salad. The staff are super friendly and helpful, explaining different options. We also got a baklava on the house while waiting for our food! The space is big enough to go alone or bring a small group. Easy parking. Highly recommend! read more

The food was very good. I had the wrap with beef, lamb and added French fries. It's pretty expensive though. The wrap with the fries and a can of Pepsi was about 25.00. This price is a little steep, can go down the street to texas Roadhouse and get a steak dinner for that price. The food is worth going back for, but not the prices read more

Got the steak platter it was sooo fresh and delicious me and my mama shared it!!! It was good!!! Loved the baba ghanoush and mutabal... my mom wanted more meat so maybe it would be enough for just one person but love this place!!!!!! read more

The best Mediterranean food I've ever had it's so fresh, family owned amazing service could not recommend this place enough

The food was great. I had the beef and lamb bowl with rice, Turkish salad, pickled red cabbage with tzatziki sauce, warmed pita bread. Grape leaves and falafel was very good also. They have wraps vs bowls if you like that better. Great service, small restaurant but worth the trip. read more

Got the lamb shawarma and chicken shawarma on pita Lebanese style for the chicken (garlic sauce and pickles) and lettuce and tomatoes and garlic sauce and pickles on the lamb, both were AMAZING. They are so quick and nice. The service is fantastic, and the restaurant is quaint and clean. read more

Finally a great place to get Döner! The staff is awesome. So friendly and patient. Don't fear trying something new. They will explain everything. I had the lamb and beef wrap. For a snack/dessert, had the homemade rice pudding. Everything so yummy! Great servings with healthy portions. You will not leave hungry. Highly recommend to try. I am not a Shawarma expert... like at all. But, you know when it is good food when the Middle Eastern people eat there. I had the chicken bowl with rice. Very yummy. My Son and Grandson had a Pita and a Wrap. They both loved it. Now, is it somewhere I'd go frequently... no, but when you want something different this will fit the bill. Oh and the baklava was pistachio and not walnut... Winner!! Very crisp and tasty. read more

I keep coming back for the food, but the service as well. The staff always answers questions about the cuisine with great patience. They remember you when you come back in, no matter how long it's been. I like that personal touch. And the orange Uludag. Can't get that anywhere else! read more

Go there, NOW!!! The owner and employees were very kind and hard-working. My girlfriend and I both ordered chicken schwarma rice bowls, and they were delicious. The bowls are $12 each, and they lasted us for two meals! Makes delicious leftovers. We also ordered some pita on the side to dip into our rice bowls, and the pita was gorgeous. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and modern-looking. It is a small place, though, so not too many seats if they get busy, just a heads up. I'm definitely visiting again. read more

Shawarma Shack - Chicken Shawarma Bowl with Pita - Mediterranean Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

This place is a lot of fun and I highly recommend stopping by to give it a try. Atmosphere is just a simple restaurant front with seating for about 50 total across a dozen tables. The walls have traditional Turkish decorations. There's a large chalkboard with Turkish phrases if you want to give that a try. The staff is just so pleasant and helpful. They're very willing to explain the toppings and options. They're proud of their offerings and it shows in the quality of the food, the joyous they work, and they're helpfulness as you select all the goodness in the bowl. The food is simply delicious. Of course, the shawarma is great. I prefer it in the bowl. It comes with pita bread anyway, which you can tear into small bits that you can then pinch the food out of the bowl. The bowl itself has saffron rice, generous portion of flavorful shawarma, and then you choose your toppings as if you're in a Subway or chipotle. Definitely give the pickled cabbage a try as well as the Turkish salad. You can get tahini or tzatziki sauce and they also have a garlic sauce that's really good. Kick it up several notches with some of their hot sauce. My wife had a Kebab wrap. the wrap was grilled with spices and flavoring on the outside and inside. The Kebab steak was tender and just packed with taste. We shared domades, which are grape leaves stuffed with rice and marinated in oil with lemon juice. We had it at a local Greek festival so we were excited it was at the store. Delicious! My niece and nephew both got the falafel. My nephew is a high schooler and got the Falafel as a wrap and just simply inhaled it. He loved it and kept pestering his little sister about her Falafel Bowl and his willingness to quote "help her with it". My brother got a shwarma bowl, like I did, but instead of chicken he got the lamb/beef mix. Last but not least, we got the hummus with the pita chips for the table. The pita chips were cut in the shape of steak fries and toasted until they were crisp and crunchy. They were really good and definitely worth getting. read more

The best shawarma in the area. They have excellent wraps, kebabs, and doner. They've also added pizza to their menu, and it's fantastic!

Delicious food and excellent customer service! The bowls are very filling and everything was super flavorful. We got to try some of their pizza too, and we would definitely come back to order more of the shawarma pizza. The baklava was the perfect dessert. Can't wait to return! read more

Attentive to your wants and willingness to describe menu items so you know what to expect from what you order.

I was pleasantly surprised and glad I went in to try the food since I was in the area. I have lived overseas and have tried Doner kebabs in the past and this food instantly brought back good memories. The staff were friendly and generous with the portions. I believe the gentleman's name is Junety, but don't quote me. His disposition was a great selling point, as I feel that customer service can make or break a business. The food (pita w/turkey and optional fixings) was delicious and I'll be back, sooner than I care to admit. I'm glad to have more options in the area. read more

I think I was the first customer today because it was completely empty. Taking advantage of my rare head of the line privilege, I was undecided on what to order so I ordered one of each on their tv screen menu (large wrap, small wrap, shawarma bowl, and a chicken shawarma. I purposely ordered each item to be a little different as they have a window display of all of their ingredients. This order was made to go. When I got home, I tore into the lamb and beef shawarma with fries as a side. I loved it! Fresh, delicious, and taking me back to my younger days living in Bahrain. I invite the rest of you to visit this friendly staff and enjoy their authentic cuisine. read more

Mr. Shwarma for the win. This place didn't hit the same way like Mr. Shwarma, the favor just wasn't there. Seems a little off in ambiance and just didn't feel clean. read more

AMAZING. AUTHENTIC. DELICIOUS. 10/10 experience, amazing food and a great place to come for a quick bite. The pita bread is so fresh, warm and fluffy. Got the chicken with garlic sauce, tzatziki, and hot sauce with most of the fixings. Perfect combination of spicy, creamy, and tangy. This will be our new go to lunch spot in Chesapeake! read more

Don't go for a sub or a burger joint (boring!!!), hit the Shawarma Shack instead. The portions are VERY generous and the food is fresh and delicious. I'm super impressed! This is a grab and go kind of place, but they do have several tables if you want to eat your shawarma hot and on the spot! Also, you can get the shawarma in a warp, a sandwich, or a bowl. read more

Yup! Legit!! You won't be disappointed if you've ever had one of these in Europe. Felt like I was on the hauptstraße at 1am lol. I rolled the dice one night via DoorDash and somehow forgot to add toppings, so they gave me a call to make sure my order was good to go. I went back the next day to order again and say thanks. 5 stars!!! read more

Great authentic Turkish cuisine. Food tastes great, this is a definite repeat for our family.

Staff is very nice but the food is Ok at best. I love falafel's and order a side. They look like the frozen ones that you get from Trader Joe's. I also got a bowl with rice, chicken, tomatoes salad and a few other toppings. The yellow rice didn't taste like much and the food was a miss for me. I paid close to $22 for a bowl, side of falafel and a can of sprite. read more
