I stopped by to pick up dinner for me and my boyfriend. We ordered a medium cheese pizza, large fries, and garlic knots. I don't think the pizza was the best I've had, but overall thought it was solid! The garlic knots were way bigger than I expected, but unfortunately they weren't quite to my taste, not really garlicky enough and a little too crispy for me. It seemed like a nice mom and pop shop. The owner was kind and welcoming :) I would return to try other items on their menu, but would skip the garlic knots next time. He did mention that they're closing in a month though :( So if you're in the area, go out and support while you still can! read more

Sunday afternoon, headed to an ODU game we figured we'd try someplace we'd not usually go. The food was ok. Not the greatest Gyro I've ever had, but not the worst either. The tzatziki was also ok. We also got a baklava sampler, probably the best thing we got this day. The service was good and service was quick. I chatted with the owner who is originally from Egypt. We chatted about his terrible timing in opening restraints, as he opened this establishment just before COVID, and in Egypt he opened a restaurant just before the 2011 revolution. He also took a few minutes to tell me about the giant picture of Alexandria, Egypt... not Virginia. We chuckled that the traffic could be equally bad at both. I believe in things happen for a reason - my friend and I wanted to try Poppy's Top Dog but it was closed at 2pm when they advertise to close at 3pm. So we didn't feel like driving anywhere due to the heat so we went next door to Mr. Falafel Plus. We were nicely greeted by the owner, asked what we wanted. I commented on not knowing since it's our first time. I asked what he would recommend. He said either lamb gyro or lamb shawarma (chicken was also available). We decided to dine in. The owner brought our food, daughters were in the kitchen. Their special was lamb gyro with can soda (or bottled water)) for $11.99. It wasn't just a good deal, it was delicious! Tsatsiki sauce was spot in. Vegetables were fresh. Overall highly recommended, will definitely return for lamb shawarma. read more

The sub was actually good. Very flavorful and juicy. I got it double toasted, extra onions and mayonnaise. I can tell they use fresh ingredients. I usually don't care for everyone's lettuce but theirs is good. The owner is a very polite guy. We had a great conversation. He's very personable and relates to his customers. Decided to try this place out after a friend recommended their pizza. The pizza was really fresh and flavorful with the crust being the best part. I also had the chicken shawarma wrap which was super tasty and had the same quality as the shawarma places I use to frequent in Northern Virginia. I placed my order through the Slice app for pick up and had no issues whatsoever. The owner even called me when it was ready for pick up. They currently cannot serve fries or anything fryer related since they still waiting on the City to come out and sign off on their fryer inspection. To apologize for the inconvenience he made the wrap bigger than originally ordered. Hopefully the city will get out to them soon since I'm hankering for falafel. Will definitely be a repeat customer. I'd also recommend calling in or placing your order through the Slice app and not Grub Hub. Their staff is small and it does get busy around dinner time. read more

100 percent the best falafel I have had. The owner is VERY kind and even stayed open a bit longer to prepare our food. We all brag about the food and enjoy everything we have eaten from here. We tried this restaurant out of desperation..... Nothing in the area was open on a Sunday afternoon. At first we see a poster on the door advertising a hamburger for $14.99. Being a burger lover, I inquired inside. The patty is 5 oz. thats 1 oz larger than a quarter pounder. You can get 3 quarter pounders for that price. We ordered subs. They had lots of cheap meats on each 10 inch sub roll. The lettuce was wilted, and the tomato was hand cut. Both subs needed more veggies to amount to what every one else puts on the roll We added an order of onion rings and fried mushrooms. The onion rings were plentiful but were prefrozen in a bag. the mushrooms appeared to be fresh made. Both were good. I don't know if we'll retry this place. The owner is a something to be taken with a grain of salt. read more

Stay away! Excited to support a new local restaurant but what a fail. Ordered through Grubhub. First they didn't have rice or fries?!? Then they took way longer to prepare. We ordered stuffed shells, grilled chicken salad and three shawarma. ALL were awful and all went into the garbage. Chicken had soured-gross. And the lamb shawarma was a greasy mess. Worst place I have ever been to eat.! There Ac was not working on a super hot day.! Food was terrible. We ordered falafel, lamb shwarma and chicken shwarma.! It was tasteless. The wrap was so chewy and dry.! I also had a piece of small metal piece which was there in my swarma which I accidentally chewed but glad didn't swallow.! I was sharing my shwarma with my 4 year old daughter and it scares me to death what if she had chewed on it and swallowed it.! The man on the counter was totally unapologetic and when I showed the metal piece to him his simple answer was - "HMM..! I WONDER WHERE DID THIS COME FROM....!!!!! Falafels were terrible too.! No texture, raw garlicky taste.! The hummus and pita chips we ordered were a disaster.! Hummus was totally off in taste and we would sense it was stale and not fresh.! Very hard to get my drink refills. I finally waive a cook over, the server is still on her phone. So they grilled some chicken up and brought it for the pizza and another salad for my wife. Still no feta cheese. Stayed tuned folks, the best is yet to come. The chicken made the pizza much better. My wife was already put off by the tire rubber beef they actually served her, and no onion and feta on a Greek salad. She just wanted to run the heck out of that place. But wait.... The coup de gras. While picking through the lettuce on her salad, we found a BABY COCKROACH , yep, alive and crawling around. We were about to go ballistic with all these screwups, and I just decided to not complain, and to never return, and voice it in a Yelp review, so others are aware Papa's Greek has come off the tracks, and needs to find its self again....... They were lost as lost can be today.

The restaurant was decorated cute but many tables needed to be cleaned so it didn't look very tidy upon entering the restaurant. Neither of us have been before so we needed explanations on how to order. I was very turned off because there was 1 iPad to order from and so we ordered one at a time. Keep in mind it was our first time and we really didn't get a clear explanation of what to do.. thank God we are actually tech literate so we figured it out on our own. It literally took seconds to get the food brought out to us which was good because it was about 10-15 minutes difference between our food coming out. Everything was okay. Just okay. They have a lot of toppings and sauce at the condiments bar up front but it was a bit disorganized and each person in front of us took a while before the person behind them. You end up paying like $36 a person for all you can eat but there's a lot more meats and add ons that cost extra so I'm not sure what they call it that. I will have to stick with my first impression of Hot Pots and stay away. I'm glad I tried them out but will probably not be coming back.

Came by during lunch and ordered the Beef Pho... flavor was good, portion size was perfect, and there was lots of beef in the soup. The side plate of basil, sprouts, and jalepeno was fresh and clean. Service was great..about 5 mins from when I ordered to when the food was in front of me. Perfect for the lunch crowd that only has an hour for lunch. I ordered the beef pho, and it was at my hotel within 20-25 minutes. The slices of beef were wonderfully tender, the noodles were just right (sometimes rice noodles disintegrate on to-go orders, but not here!) and the broth was perfect. I plan to go to the restaurant in person at some point during this trip, and may update this review. I'm hoping to still be impressed by the food.

The setup is a buffet style area that you select all your food and as much as you want and you hand it off to the cook and the chef prepares it for you, plates it for you and hands it to you and then you go sit down. The food quality is good and fresh. The choices of protein are pork, chicken and beef. They have all the vegetables that you can imagine and noodle for the base. Then next is the multitude of sauces that you can select. Great place. I would go back if I were to visit this area again.
