This adorable little restaurant lived up to the rave reviews it got on Yelp. My order was taken by a gentleman who was polite and supportive. We ordered the falafel sandwich and the chicken shawarma plate. I couldn't resist the urge and bought a box of mixed baklavas when I went in to pick up my order, and I'm so happy I did! The food was all yummy. We got the spicy version and it was awesome! I'm sad I live far away from this place, or every week I would have gone there! Clean, tasty food and polite workers! I went to work in Worcester, hungry for a shawarma wrap and ended up here. And boy, I'm glad I did that! The owner was very friendly and kind. I was able to order a sandwich of chicken shawarma, hummus, and pita chips, and in only 7 minutes, I was in and out. You get your money's worth for the portion size and consistency of my meal. This is very close to my other favorite spot, Shawarma Falafel, in Boston. I will be back if I'm in town again! read more

Finally stopped in this place after weeks of driving by it. The owner (I assume) was very friendly and explained all the dishes to us. Even let us sample some of the things we were curious about. We decided to try Shawarma Palace based on the glowing reviews here on yelp. Now we want to add ours. The food is fabulous, prices are incredibly low for such quality food, and you will have to travel far to meet a nicer person than Charlie, the owner. We liked our dishes so much that we ordered duplicates to take home for lunch on the next day. We wish we were locals and, will definitely be back when we return to Worcester. read more

I was searching for a place to eat while in Worcester and came upon this establishment. What a lucky find! My chicken shawarma salad was delicious, as was my companion's beef shawarma sandwich, which was both freshly cooked and delicious. As we waited for our lunches to be prepared, the owner was extremely polite and generous, offering us free pita bread and hummus. We had a delicious meal by the end of our lunch. read more

While in Worcester for employment training, I had the pleasure of stumbling upon this spot. I had a platter of chicken schwarma. Tasty. Delicious. They had rice, spinach, garlic sauce, pickled vegetables, hummus, and pita. The chicken was all-white meat, tender and delicious. All five of us wanted a lamb dish and there were several to choose from. When the waiter came around to take our order he informed us that because there was currently a wedding going on, the only lamb dishes were ALL shawarma (a lesser version of lamb equivalent to hamburger, when you really want a steak). A VERY BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Here's a tip for you... Check out their menu before booking a reservation if your considering going to Sham. Make sure that they're going to have what you want available on the day that you're planning on going if you don't want to be disappointed. As for me, I'll probably check out an alternative to Sham - a restaurant that keeps better track of their staple ingredients (like LAMB), so that they don't disappoint their patrons. As a final note, the shawarma was good, their appetizers were good and everything that we ate was tasty. If Sham was the only Middle Eastern restaurant in Worcester and I had a hankering for such a cousin, I wouldn't hesitate to go there. However, I don't like being disappointed, especially since we drove out to Worcester from Boston!

It came with 5 different dishes on top which consisted of lentil mix, beef and vegetables, cauliflower and eggplant, chicken and veggie, and collard greens and vegetables. You scoop up the dish with anjero and eat them together. I've never had this kind of dish but it was very interesting and tasty. It had lots of vegetables and was large portion so even sharing with another person, I feel like i got really full and got my vegetables for the day. Everything was spiced and flavored well and reminded of authentic home cooking. Even though that taste of the food wasn't mind blowing it was hearty, soulful and healthy food that leave you feel satisfied. The service was excellent. The server which i think is the owner was very nice and helpful. Being relatively new to Ethiopian cuisine he was able help us navigate what to expect and order and answer any questions.
