INHUMANE TREATMENT !!! I have tried to solve an issue that you caused from your own mistake for the last 3 months privately with you . After numerous lies and nothing solved from your OWN MISTAKE , it's time people know what kind of pathetic excuse for a company you are ! First of all , stop acting like a monpoly! This year you faced competition and the residents of this province are happy with the new providers currently in the market. Not only that is shows how bad your service is and high priced but your customer service is a really big joke. On top of this, through my experience and proven recordings that the Better Business Bureau has , you hire fraudulent companies such as that joke of a collection company of yours called Collect Cents For all this reasons , I will share my experience with the public, the news chancel, better business bureau and absolutely all social media channels. Back in February I received an email from a collection company, Collect Cents informing me about the fact that they are affecting my credit score and that I should call immediately. The whole content of it sounds like a scam. You have enough money from consumers to at least pay for better content. I called immediately to be informed that it is Shaw who reported me 2 years ago. Yes, 2 YEARS AGO for a modem that was not returned according to them! Managing multiple properties, I myself returned your modem IN PERSON to your West Cordova location and you ADMITTED ON A RECORDING THAT YOU INDEED MADE A MISTAKE. Where do you get off with not sending a letter or anything in this 2 years ?????????????? It blows my mind of how much tax we pay in this province to have this pathetic excuse for a company acting like a monopoly! For the last 3 months I probably had over 15 calls with your joke of a customer service department and your fraudulent collection company. 2 joint calls with lies that this will not appear on my credit score. In 15 years I managed to obtain perfection in a score of 900. In one day you took me to a horrible one!!! On top of that your joke for a collection company harassed me to pay your modem after receiving numerous emails from you with a BALANCE OF $0 and confirmation con the joint calls. I paid as they lied that this will be removed and my money refunded. You then agreed it's YOUR OWN MISTAKE and will send me a check for the amount as well as REMOVE this from my credit score . 3 months later , no check and my credit the same. Every 2 weeks as the credit report updated I was watching for it AS INSTRUCTED BY YOU . You then put the fault on your collection agency and tonight on the better business bureau. You said that the cheque takes 6-8 weeks to be received . Not only that it was not received and it's been over 10 weeks but how come you issue a cheque in Vancouver (down town to down town ) and takes 6-8 weeks?????????????????????? Everything you do and say is pathetic. I URGE EVERYONE NEVER TO DEAL WITH SHAW as this was the most HORRIFC experience of my life! Also, please check your credit scores as they managed to do this in a day for a mistake they did 2 years ago. THEIR OWN MISTAKE! DISGUSTED!!!!!!! sorry it's long to read Chat Conversation End Type a message... .. read more

Shaw really deserved a big fat ZERO. They suck. I called at 2:30pm, was told I was 1300+ in the queue. First of all, if theres that many people waiting for help your customer service is already a joke. I entered the call me back option and was told 35 minutes, an hour and a half later I got a call back alert saying to stay on the line as I was next in queue... I've now been on hold for 25 minutes! THE POINT OF ASKING TO BE CALLED BACK IS SO I DON'T HAVE TO SIT ON HOLD. With every other company I ask for a call back they only call me back when theres a representative on the other end of the line. Can I get a call back option on my call back option??? Because no one has time to sit on hold like this. Its ironic because I'm calling to cancel my services... this is just one of the many reasons why. Wish me luck, as I'm sure I'll have to spend way to much time declining a change in services or being offered other things to stay. Thats a hard no! I also wouldn't be surprised of there was going to be some kind of hidden fee. Anyways, I'm still on hold (its now 4:25pm) and I grow angrier and angrier with each passing minute. Update: I got to speak to an actual person at 4:30, who then said he had to direct me to the correct department and then put me BACK ON HOLD.... So why when I did 3 rounds of selecting the correct number and selected 'cancellations' did that not send me to the department I need? This is absolute BS. Best part is after 1 hour and 48 minutes the hold music stopped and then a minute later it sounded like I connected, I said 'Hello?' and then immediately got hung up on. I called back as a new customer looking to buy new services and got threw to a rep in THREE MINUTES. She then said all she could do was put me back on hold to customer service. Thanks Shaw for wasting my time. Hire more representatives. Or at least have regular automatic check ins so you can at least know you going up the queue/gauge how long it would be. But its clear you don't want us informed, or to speak to us, and would prefer we just hang up. If you don't want to talk to your customers then add a cancellation option online so we can GTFO. My boyfriend called TELUS, who we are going to be using moving forward and the whole reason I had to call and cancel in the first place. TELUS called him back within half an hour and the rep was beyond polite, helpful, and honestly an angel in comparison to anyone I spoke to from Shaw. TELUS will set up your cancellation with other providers when you begin with them. WHAT A DREAM. Now I don't have to call back and spend another 4 hours on hold getting tossed from person to person . EVERYONE SWITCH TO TELUS read more

even after the CRA made it a broadcasting fineible offence shaw keeps letting media company's crank the volume up on broadcast commercials... when im dealing with getting food in my kids mouth ( even near it so he can absorb nutrients through his cheeks ) and my boss keeps texting me to help him get his motorbike out of his pool on my weekend and my cat is meowing to get her grass from outside so she can just puke on my carpet 30 mins later and all i wanna do is see the dumb ass red neck car guys destroy another classic car for some 16 year old kid i finally get three seconds to watch a tiny bit of tv and bam there's Sam Elliot screaming in my ear about sexy running boards or Mathew McHork-knee trying to look cool like that'll make me wanna buy a 90 k $ car like shoot really ? ,for the amount of money these company's are paying for airspace they should be sending me a GD cheuqe for my eye ball space my wife is beautiful and for the amount of time that coca-cola has stolen from my face when i could be looking at her i should cry foul big time out !! but i don't have time to write to my politicians ( AGAIN ) about complaining for the sake of lost imagination and recycled ad campaigns that are targeting children with more sex and violence as well as cranking the volume again and again in a relentless effort to get me to spend my hard earned money on cr&p like i know im not the only person whos vowed to never purchase anything thats advertised on tv or you tube so whats going on why do they insist on useing advertising to measure the company's value like unless theyer annoying me they havnt made it as a multi million dollar company i swear to god ill never walk into a store and go " whats that brown pop with a red label and the white scriptive font ?" ...ever , theyev permanently and forcfully occupied parts of my synaps and memory that ill never get back with out thousands of dollars of psychological reconditioning and hypnosis . if i never ecer saw another comecial i would pay thousands of dollars for that . read more

never ever rent from shaw! they are a bunch of crooks! nothing but a bunch of greedy cock sucking money grubbing fucking crooks! they told us when we got their services it would be covered for a whole 2 year contract, only 89 dollars per month, then they charge us two extra months 175 and then we have to pay next month the original amount, but we're getting charged 2 months for basically nothing, that is what they told us that oh you have to pay an extra 2 months that makes no fucking sense! that is complete and utter bullshit! we did not get any notification of an extra payment, they will try to con you and lie to you any way they can just to get you to pay them extra money, it's better to go with telus at least they don't fucking charge you an obscene amount of money for just internet which is all we have, and back when we were with them before we had cable we told them to take off the movie channels which we were getting chargde extra for, and they didn't, they added that without our knowledge and without permission and never rmeoved it and kept charging us extra money for it, these croooks should be shut down! this is the worst company by far i've ever gone with in my entire life! they should be shut down, they should be reported, i will be going to the news with this and telling everyone and warning everyone about your services! fuck you guys you fucking with the wrong person! i'm not going to be taken advantage of or let you get away with this, the only reason we have to go with shaw was only because telus can't set up in our area because it's an older area. read more

My Shaw experience has been absurd!! I refuse to stay quiet about it! I haven't had cable in over a month and now my e-mail wont work and it all states its an account problem. I've been a Shaw customer for 5 YEARS and this is how you are treated as a loyal customer who has NEVER been late on a payment, just wow! This all started after they put me into a "fixed" rate, BOOM no cable. No one to help or care either! I refuse to sit on hold over and over, I refuse to waste anymore of my time sitting on hold at all actually! I've utilized that "chat" 2-3 times now, requesting a manager to call .. giving hours that work as I work shift work of 12.5 hours a day. I don't have time for being on hold OR someone coming out to check my boxes, which it states ON the cable box "ACCT" that's an account problem!! I sat on with IT for over an hour... no help - someone came out to my house, which I don't have time for.. love missing work, waiting around and wasting yet more time and money to find out nothing is wrong. A supervisor called, while I was at work (I cannot have my phone in my center), AND while I was on vacation in Vegas.. there's a reason I said after 6 for two days in a row and yet, received NO call on those days. Just when I wasn't available. That's all the "help" I've gotten, like I said, I still have no cable... over a month now, and now I can no longer access my e-mail, yay me! This is great Shaw! Thanks! ................. read more

Shaw is consistently terrible. If you want your problem handled, don't rely on their customer service department. Except...if your problem is that you want to cancel your service, you MUST phone them. There is explicitly no option for email or live chat cancellation. They want you to phone them. And then, as was the case with me, they leave you on the phone for over five hours, and then just when you're wondering if they even remember that you're on hold, they drop the call with no explanation or indication of a follow-up. This isn't the first time I've encountered this type of difficulty with Shaw. In fact, the only time I've received rapid customer service is when I signed up and paid for router delivery (go figure). Providing good service to snag *new* customers, while treating existing customers poorly, isn't professional. Shaw effectively is making it prohibitive (time-wise) to cancel, and every customer should have the right to cancel their service for legitimate reasons (ie. moving to another country, switching to Telus, whatever the case may be). Shaw makes it exhausting simply to go about regular business, and it's completely unacceptable and leaves me in the lurch. read more

Horrific customer service that keeps you on hold for hours, with representatives who then don't have the ability to do anything. Only time anyone offered to help was when we phoned to cancel our service...by then it's too late. Make a better effort earlier on. Phoned them in early January to complain our bill was too high, especially given the service we were getting. They stated that if we were willing to sign a contract they would gift us ~$200, which we were happy with as we thought the contract was good. Get our bill later and surprise, the extra $200 was still there. After trying numerous times to get resolution (and having to wait on hold a ridiculous amount), told that this promise was never given to me. Was then told they had listened to the tape, which I don't believe they ever did, as I know what was stated to me. Congrats Shaw, because of your lack of resolution and horrific customer service, you now lost a customer. I hope the $200 was worth losing the $2000 a year we were giving you guys for internet and tv. read more

Shaw has the absolute worst customer service ever. I have been trying to get a hold of Shaw via phone only to be on hold for hours at a time. Since I cannot get a hold of anyone via phone because of the hours long waits I decided to email four times now only to get a reply 2 weeks later asking for a passphrase and no replies even though I have asked in all 4 emails for a call back. Unbelievable. I was only trying to find out when my contract ends as they sent me an email saying it will expire soon. I think 25 years of Shaw is enough. Customer service has been bad for a few years now and getting worse. I even went to the Shaw store in my local mall and they said they don't do that there anymore and that I would have to keep trying to get a hold of customer service via phone or internet. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SHAW TO ANYONE. EVERYONE I KNOW HAS SWITCHED TO TELUS AND HAS BEEN MUCH HAPPIER. Shaw has gotten too big and do not care about their customers anymore. read more

I've been dealing with a frustrating issue with Shaw (now Rogers) for over three years. In 2018, my father racked up a $1,167.55 debt with Shaw, but since we share the same name (Kyle Wilson), the debt was wrongly assigned to me. I was only 18 and in high school at the time, with no connection to the account. Despite countless calls to Shaw, Rogers, and the collections agency, no one has resolved this. One Rogers rep even told me, "This is how life works, and you should just pay it." I've refused to pay this amount out of principle--I no longer have a relationship with my father, and I shouldn't be bullied into paying a debt I didn't incur. This error has severely impacted my credit score and caused me endless stress. I need this issue fixed immediately, with the debt reassigned to the correct person and my credit restored. This level of customer service is unacceptable read more

I am very disappointed with Shaw after being a customer for many years. I was promised a month ago when I called in to renew my internet subscription with Shaw that when my one year promotional offer is nearing the end in August, I will be able to continue the subscription for another year at the same rate. The agent assured me that when I call in to renew, they will be able to do so when they see the notes in my file. However, after almost 10 times trying to call in to renew my subscription just recently, I was finally told that they couldn't honour the rate. I was also told that they couldn't see the notes on file to honour the rate. Someone at Shaw must have deleted the notes from my file. During my numerous calls to Shaw, the agent actually acknowledged the notes were there before. Shaw is so dishonest and lack of customer loyalty. read more

The Tech Support from Shaw cable sounds like those scam callers and once you talk to them they will share Your info to others . When you call SHAW CABLE seems like indian BAZAAR . They sold canada to India seems like now adays . Big Tech companies hire fraudsters to deal with canadian citizens.i might sound racist but I'm not because not all of them are bad . Td insurance hired bunch of them too and they were the same No help but waste your time and sell your info to the fraudsters. someone texted me with a link to make a payment right after I talk to shaw representative. This has happened like they acted like they were doing shaw any favour. I pay my bill on time ,when I receive a bill. Someone must stop them. Or they will turn this country into a bribe city. Shaw doesnt deserve not 1 start after this and the people I know. read more

Have been a customer for many years now, recently made the mistake of switching to Telus after fibre optics was installed in my area (not offered by shaw yet here) and was given a promo rate to switch. Terrible company Telus is, my review is on their page. I was on a 30 day satisfaction period with Telus, and it was a nightmare, so I cancelled. Called Shaw, explained my situation with Telus, they offered to reconnect our service for free, and even gave us a reduction in our monthly bill! (one of the reasons we cancelled was the Telus was cheaper) I will gladly continue being a customer to Shaw internet and mobile phone. The service has always been consistent, and have never had to sit on hold for hours for technical or billing support, as everything is always as it should be. read more

Do not sign a contract with Shaw. My contract expired on Jan 02, 2020 and I signed another contract with them in December 2019. But they overcharged on my December 2019 bill $42.00 without a reason. I made a phone call to ask why they overcharged me. Then they said that they didn't overcharge me, but they couldn't explain why there's $42 extra on my bill. They just kept saying they didn't overcharge me. It is just a small amount of money. Why did they do that? It is a rip-off. I would like to cancel the contract. But if I do that, I have to pay for a fine because breaking the contract. Unfortunately I'm stuck with Shaw now. That is a terrible experience with Shaw. Please do yourself a favor ''Do not sign a contract with Shaw'' read more

Shaw cable has blatantly ruined my credit and openly admitted they do not care about my health and that their safety is much more valuable then my own . After telling me that there stores are closed due to public health risk due to covid they have declined to allow me the same safety , Shaw insists that I must pick up mail stickers from a possibly infected mailbox then package up my cable box and return it via mail at Canada post also jeopardizing my own health , I have asked them for a grace period due to covid since they are not willing too open their doors during this either and they have no sent me to collections and refused to acknowledge my health concerns , I would never do business with this company ever again read more

I've had shaw for just over two years now and I had no issue until I go switched to the HORRIBLE BLUE CURVE TV. I got the services in November and my internet/ tv crashes at least TWICE a day. The have sent seven techs to my house so far and the techs are to stupid to read notes about my services, so it's pretty much am re-explaining my issues every time. I've also had three no shows and with out any notice or info why they don't show. Last time I called they had me on hold/ transferred to the wrong departments, wasting 3 hours of my time, to get no where. DON'T TRUST SHAW ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MAKING MONEY. THEY ALSO COULD CARE LESS ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY read more

So, I got really excited and changed my plan to a 2 year baited contract for up to 150 bps. My bill has gone UP and I'm now paying $224 / month for a phone, LD, 150 speed and medium channel group. THIS WHOLE OFFER IS BS. My speed has dropped from 65 bps to a high of 43 upload speed and 14 download. That is after checking it multiple times a day since upgrading 3 weeks ago. Netflix is buffering now every 10 min. Shaw has tried to resolve this many times but nothing has worked. Hating Shaw all over again! Thought they were seriously offering something of value. Should have gone with Telus who just installed a whole new fibre optic network in my area. read more

They sign 2-year contracts which is a rip off. The connection is awful, I get disconnected 4-5 times in an hour. I have classes on zoom and it gets annoying and stressful when you have to reconnect every 10 minutes. I have this problem on my brand new laptop and mu iphone 11 but every time I call them after 1 hour of waiting- because they do not have enough agents although they lie their service is 24 hour- they tell me that's your device problem. So I asked my friend to bring her laptop to my home she got disconnected too . Fraudsters !!!! By the way, I got disconnected when I wanted to post this review and had to wait to reconnect :((( read more

After all the headache, the customer service had deducted my statement of $328 to $292 as goodwill. I paid $296. Next thing I know my statement did not reflect that change and I was getting charged $30 more. I waited 1-1/2 hours on the phone and finally when I explained everything, they wouldn't honor it even though it was their coworker's mistake that he didn't put on file. They forced on me a $20 discount saying that's all they can do however I'm still paying $10 more than what I should. Paying for someone's mistake. Absolutely appalling customer service that don't care about their customers at all. read more
