Koodo forced me to go to this store to pay my bill. Tom Harris the manager took my visa payment and applied it to something called Koodo Air not my account and now my phone is cut off for non-payment and they will not resolve this issue telling me I took the payment back, so I got a stamped receipt from the bank and took it in and they would not accept it saying that I had to file a dispute with koodo and gave me an email, I have emailed them twice with no reply so I had to endure the long Canada day weekend with no access to my bank account. No staff member contacted Tom Harris to try to resolve this, and I received no call from Tom Harris to help with this. I am not impressed, if there was a no star box I would be using it. read more

Although I'm currently stuck with Rogers, the guys in here were really nice and helpful. They are yet to sign me up which is why I can't give them a five just yet, but I'd consider going back here again when my contract does run out. I just switched to Telus cable, and so far, I'm much happier with them than Shaw. We'll see after my next bill, however. I will say that I tried to call Telus from this store and couldn't get through after at least thirty minutes, so I finally had to leave as it was just a waste of time. If only we could do all of our business in person instead of waiting on hold. read more

Considering this is Telus and I pretty much loathe Telus I'd have to say that the service here deserves 4 stars. Both my kids' phones are on Telus and I seem to have been locked in with them since 2002. My damn kids keep losing phones and the staff here have been good at helping give me any deal possible. They've witnessed my frustration and have always reacted kindly and professionally. I've had horrible service at other Telus outlets and will only ever go here now thankg to the staff. read more

What impressed me most about the Tom Harris (Port Coquitlam) store was the locked-in, understandable explanations and technical service provided by Kieran McWilliam. Using simple understandable language, he resolved every difficulty I foresaw during my switch to a new phone, even after he had to explain it more than once. He patiently achieved his purpose -- including procedures for complete data transfer from my old phone -- without wincing when asked the same questions repeatedly. Two employees and three customers. I waited patiently as they continued to endlessly serve the two ahead but they never aknowledged me. It is not always this way in every Telus store, this one is bad. No one says, "this may be a while" or "happy to help you soon". When there are many customers at this location they often help the people in no particular order. They have no ability to que. Absolute garbage customer service. Open sign wasn't on so went to kill time elsewhere, not knowing they were open anyway. Walked in and the girl is just sitting behind the desk with another customer on the phone. No greeting or acknowledgement. After standing around for ten minutes, I asked if I could leave my name on a wait list or if anyone else was coming in that day. No. Got sent to London drugs by the girl because they could supposedly do everything for me. Went to London drugs and got sent back because they couldn't do what I needed. Huge waste of time. Went back to Telus and still no acknowledgement. In my time spent there, 4 other customers came and went with zero greeting. Make the drive up to whistler and see Magalie. Don't waste your time at this embarrassment of a branch in Squamish. read more

Background: I have been with telus for the past 11 years. I was not happy with my cell phone through tom harris for the last three years. I went in at the end of my contract and was assured that all would be okay this time around. Got two new phones (one for me and one for my teenager). Current day: Went in with some problems with my phone (touch phone - intermittently not working with touch control). CSR started out polite and then when I didn't want to pay an additional $95.00 plus $25.00 change over fee he said that there was nothing wrong with the phone because he could make it work. Back and forth for a while and when he finally couldnt get me to accept the deal he used an excuse of my "tone" to say that he was going to call mall security and have me removed from the store. I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER get another phone from Tom Harris Cellular again. I made a mistake renewing this contract. Why wont they stand behind a faulty product? All I wanted was a replacement phone that worked properly. I felt like he was being condescending because he could make it work and I couldn't. It was like he was making fun of me because my husband and I are not in our 30's and technological geeks so it was like he was looking down on us. great service; last year, while in a jam, I bought a car charger for blackberry, and this was the closest accessory store at the time. then 3 months later, charger broke down on me, and went back, with no receipt but they found my record on their system, and replaced with a new one, no questions asked. a few parking stalls labelled for them in this crazy busy strip plaza. Telus... Telus Telus Telus .......hmmmm . Well I know there aren't many people who follow my reviews, if any at this point. I haven't made a review for probably two and a half months now, the reason ... Telus. That's right they are the reason. Since July 26th i have been without Internet, at first because of a move. Once in my new house on august 4th I transferred the Internet to the new place. "Two days sir we should have you hooked up, there is an existing line so it will be no problem ..... August 7th "we don't know whats wrong sir we will send a technician on the 11th to solve the problem". Now this part is a gem, and I am not pulling any legs here August 10th a technician comes up to my door right in front of my girlfriend and I, and as we watch him through the kitchen window he leaves a note on our door "sorry I missed you". Now not only did he show up a day early at a time that was never scheduled, he didn't even bother to knock. Un be f in lievable!!! So I call them "yes sir we have you scheduled for the 11th he will be there at noon ... have a nice day" . So we are at the 11th nothing nobody . I call, I complain "okay sir we will send someone for the 16th it is the best I can do". Okay, fine I will take half a day off work lets just get this over with. August 16th ..... did you guess it , that's right nothing nobody. now this goes on until about 4 days ago, but seeing as this is turning into more of a short story than a yelp I will try to sum it all up. Roughly 18 hours of phone conversations, four missed hours of work, 3 broken plans, and a whole lot of yelling I now have Internet ... sometimes (it likes to turn off now and again). Don't worry though they had an explanation ... " Our Internet cannot be a guaranty all the time, just like anything else in life there is a lot of people competing in your neighborhood for the channels available". ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!! Well anyways here I am yelping again .. hopefully. With my 8th month of free service in the bag, and people wonder why someone shot at the Telus building. I would get into my first bad experience with them but this is far to long already. Lets just say I ended up being billed three times per month for three months at two addresses. Well Telus you disgust me, I will never promote your service, I will never say a nice thing about you. Your incompetence is rivaled only by your stupidity. I had previously left a fairly uncomplimentary review for this business. I would like to say that all my issues were resolved within 24 hours. We had just moved from Texas and was told the 'unlock' on my phone would take 2 to 3 days. It took much longer (still not unlocked). Due to this, I was offered a full refund for the unlock charge and a full refund for the time I was under contract. Thank you Troy for taking care of this so professionally. read more

Unfortunately this store is a true representation of the Telus brand. SO unhelpful, and charge you for everything and anything (setting up a new phone!!). I have been a Telus customer for years and have had issue after issue. The head office and stores clearly do not communicate or care about their customers. This store is particularly bad as it is clear they only help you when they get their commission, not when it is in the best interest of the customer. Twice I have been here and neither time would they help me, or even do the bare minimum even after been told to go from the Telus phone support, and what they would be able to provide. They would not fulfil on their promises either time (shame on me for staying with Telus after the first few issues- and going back to this location) Needless to say I am changing providers. Save your money, but more importantly your time, and go elsewhere. read more
