We had my sister's celebration of life here. The facility is a bit dated but worked well for our purpose. Easy access from highway 1 and a large parking lot. We had about 90 guests and it was comfortable. The set up was early and gave us plenty of time to set up. Kevin had an appetizer menu which was fixed but plenty of variety and options. The food was raved by all. The staff were great. The bartender, RayAnn did an outstanding job and kept the lines moving and happy. As this was an emotional even for us, this whole experience was wonderful. I will book all of my parties there. read more

Husband & I came for date night and overall was disappointed. The staff was great but food was not so good. We were served warm sour dough French bread & butter, followed by clam chowder which was decent. We shared a ceasar salad, the dressing was "sour" and the croutons were beyond stale. I order an extra extra rare prime rib which was medium at best. There were parts of the meat that couldn't be dissected with the steak knife. The meat had no taste where salt & pepper didn't improve it, the meat was not tender at all. I guess you really get what you pay for. I went here with my family to try thier breakfast with skepticism because pacifica really doesnt have ANY good breakfast spots. The golf course restaurant was definately a pleasent surprise! Sure the decor is in need of an update and the dining area was poorly lit; they make up for all that with very reasonable prices! I ordered the chicken fried steak, it was much better than most places i have been, and the portion of food they gave me was just right. The service was slow but i think that was due to understaffing the dining area. They had one server covering a crowded dining room and she still kept my coffee full which is really all you want when you go out for breakfast! I will definately be back to try lunch read more

My girlfriend and I came here for breakfast on the recommendation of another local. Although the appearance of both the outside and inside was telling us "NO, don't eat here", against our best judgement we decided to give it a try. The service was pleasant, the view is wonderful. The food was terrible. I'm not sure what they used as a batter for the waffle but it was the toughest, driest waffle I have ever been served. Warning, do NOT order chicken fried steak - it made my girlfriend ill. I honestly think the food safety of the kitchen could be a serious matter of concern. I've subsequently been told this facility is scheduled to be closed. Never knew this place was even here! After church service, we normally would have breakfast or brunch with our friends. This time, a long lost friend came with is and suggested brunch at this "new" place we've never ventured to even consider. We agreed to meet here and had a bit of difficulty recognizing the place because there actually was no signage! Well, not anymore. Upon entering the front door, you will feel the old world vibe this place exudes. I love it!! Brings you back to the times when life was easy and one can relax to a hearty breakfast or brunch after a round of golf. The building is that old yet the ambiance of the old world charm has been maintained. The menu is short and simple. The handwritten specials are on the table and on a chalk board close to the bar. You feel the smiles on the faces of the staff, who, by the way always take the time to refill tour coffee and make some small talk which makes you feel like family. K ended up with more coffee than I should have had but that's another story. We tried the eggs Benedict, Joe's special and corned beef hash. I must say, we were good until after dinner with the size of their portions. I would recommend their eggs Benedict and Joe's special. Everyone seems to have their own version of the hash but you haven't had this, so take your pick. Everything else on the menu, especially the lunch menu looked quite appetizing, however we weren't there for lunch...or so we thought. This is one of those small places with a big heart. The customers are very well cared for while seated. No one was hurried to leave because you had the feeling that you were welcome. Just like grandma's home on the weekend. We will surely be back. It's been years and throw in the pandemic and what I got for my wait was what I remembered. Friday and Saturday only: prime rib to die for. It was called the "senior"...how did they know? It came with sides or potatoes/French fries, baked (my choice) home style. Clam chowder New England style was awesome. Has anyone had some and was throughly disappointed? Now here. The only thing and this was my fault, it came with sourdough French bread and it wasn't garlic bread. Like I said, my fault but boy that would have been a grand slam! It also came with vegetables. Went there as part of a private party of about 40-50 people We we in the back room. We sat on 2 very long tables. When the waitress brought out bread she placed 1 basket in the middle of the table where I was sitting. The people near me took a slice of bread, but I did not. The other people at the ends of the table waited for their baskets of bread. It never came. We passed our basket of bread to one end of the table. One of the people at the other end asked for bread and only then got a basket of bread, but there was not enough bread in that 2nd basket for all the people sitting there. The waitress said her boss said to give only 1 slice per person. Are you kidding? How am we supposed to know that? What happened if someone ate more than one slice? We complained that even if that was what the boss said, you still have to put out enough slices for bread for each person there. The waitress then went to the 1st basket of bread and said there was still a slice of bread it in. This basket was at the other end of the table about 15-20 feet away from the people who didn't get bread. Also, I and my wife didn't eat any bread. If we wanted bread, one of us wouldn't get one. I told this to the waitress. I also asked how were we supposed to know that we were supposed to pass 1 basket of about 10 slices of bread around for the 15 people at the long table. At restaurants, I expect enough bread for everyone at the table. I also expect that at a long table, the staff places several baskets of bread at several points on the table. Also, I expect restaurants to give more than 1 slice of bread. Every restaurant I have went to has done this. I also do not expect the waitress to argue with us. Food wasn't even that good. I will not be recommending that venue for our parties anymore. read more

Ok, after reading some of the reviews of this place, allow me to put some things into perspective. A lot of people have complained about the mothers day buffet and other random things about the place. But really, why are you taking your mother to a small old restaurant for mothers day to begin with? This is a small old golf course that happens to have a restaurant. Not a fantastic restaurant that happens to have a golf course. Check yourself. I've been here quite a few times and have never had a bad experience except for the occasional slow service. Again, this is a golf course in a hidden location and I'm sure it's hard to predict what the restaurant traffic is going to be like on a daily basis. Check yourself....again. Prime rib is huge and worth the money. Is it dry-aged for 16 days for maximum flavor? Probably not, but it's good. Prime rib with 2 lobster tails....even better and only 32 bucks. Stuffed pork chops? Excellent, flavorful, huge portion and only $16. Oh, and the old dark and dingy place that it used to be is now a re-painted light and bright place. So for those of you who are thinking of coming here, keep it real unlike the others and you'll enjoy yourself. read more

Before submitting this review, I considered bumping the star rating up to 2 stars based on the pleasant service. Then, I remembered that the first 3 plates I picked up were dirty. Back down to 1 star. Moral of the story: Go with your gut re: Yelp ratings... unless your gut is filled w/ sub-par, pricey brunch food from Sharp Park Restaurant. I have been coming to this restaurant over 25 years. Back in the day when it was busy, you would overlook the lousy service ( If you read any of my reviews, there is no good restaurant service in Pacifica ) since the prices and the food was very good. I have been to a number of private parties and my cousin's wedding reception here and it was very good. In the past five years since business has dropped off considerably, everything has gone downhill. The service that was bad before is now a joke. The food has gone from very good to middling and the decor has been painted a few times. The bathrooms are being shared by the golf course and the bar, so what do your expect. One night we came for dinner, and they closed because there were no customers in the place before 7 pm. As for the Mother's Day and Father's Day buffets, I went to both and got there early and had a good meal and decent service. By the time we left, they were struggling to put out food. The red cups came out as we were leaving, the dishwasher could no keep up. The chef does a great job for what he has to work with. I have been here before for breakfast and it was good, eggs and toast is pretty hard to mess up, anyways....prime rib was cold, and rubbery, everything was cold, nothing was being refilled, so there was little bits of pancake or eggs here and there. My family and I went here for Father's Day brunch/lunch. I am still in complete disbelief over the service that we received. Our waitress, Linda, was rude and unprofessional. This review is from a date last year in 2014...I believe it was in the summer when we came for brunch. You can tell this place used to be the cat's meow--lots of character...but it's not kept up. Cobwebs, dingy decor, and I still remember a grimy swinging door across the room to our right. The staff was friendly, but one waitress spilled coffee on the floor and that's when I noticed the stained carpets. The worst part of it was that flies were EVERYWHERE. All customers were swatting them from their food, and when one customer sat down he told me I had flies all over my back. Yes, I should have left at that point, but I was so hungry I decided to stay. The food was actually really good--but it was hard to enjoy it! A bird even flew in from one of the open windows--went haphazardly about the restaurant for a handful of seconds until a hero customer opened her window and ushered it out. Such a surreal morning. If the atmosphere was different this could be an amazing venue. I don't think I'll be able to go back. :( read more

I ordered the garlic prawns and it didn't smell right had one and it was gamey. The waitress even said it smelt bad but still charged us for it. My husband order Kevin's amazing fried chicken very bland nothing amazing about except it was editable. Simply note that it's the first big building you see off highway 1. Anyway, it's a decent restaurant. I ordered the Club House Sandwich and it was pretty good. The view is nice, I guess. I do enjoy being on the golf course. Nice selections of wine. Drinks are reasonable too! NICE place to bring a few friends and unwind, sitting by the window with view. Hamburgers are awesome! Who are you people, this place is wonderful. Built in the 1930's and previously owned by the Spreckle family..there is nothing but history here. Its drab surroundings are completely disguised by the Super bartender Gino, wonderful manager Kevin, Peggy our waitress and a whole lotta fun guys just relaxing at the Bar. Don't expect a lot, but enjoy what is around you and you'll have a blast. I had a great steak and my companion had the stroganoff, good dinner and drinks and we laughed a lot with the staff. We played a round of 9 holes, had some good shots, walk on a beautiful course and watched the sun set. If you've played up at Russian River in Monte Rio, you will be reminded of it when you play here as the same gold course designer did this one as well. Good food, Good Price, Good Golf. read more

I've been to this restaurant more than a few times over the years, but mostly for private parties. Service at these parties have always been excellent, but I digress... Restaurant.com offered a great deal on this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. My experience as a dinner guest has been hit and miss. The first time we visited, there weren't a lot of people. My server was prompt and attentive. The food was good and the specials not listed on the menu was an pleasant surprise. After dinner, I was already looking forward to my next visit. Tonight's visit was completely the opposite. We were greeted and seated by young man who also serves as the bus boy. He immediately brought glasses of water and told us that "bread was on its way". it took another 20 minutes before the actual server (different from previous visit) came back to take our order (still no bread). That would be the last time we'd see the server until she returned with our meal, 20 minutes later. Only then did we receive the bread promised 40 minutes earlier. Unfortunately, the bread was burnt and inedible. 10 minutes passed until we got a replacement. It wasn't for another 25 minutes until the server came back to check on our table. At that time, we were ready to leave and we asked for the check, which took another 10 minutes to arrive. Once again, the server disappeared. After waiting 13 minutes, I decided to walk up to the cashier stand to settle the bill, rather than waiting for the server to come back to the table. Our visit lasted a total of 1 hour and 28 minutes. 25 minutes of this was was spent actually eating. The other 1 hour and 3 minutes was spent waiting...alone...with no follow up. Yes, I really did document the actual times. I felt that because I was redeeming the Restaurant.com certificate which specifically states that an 18% tip would automatically be added to the bill, the server didn't feel the need to "earn" a good tip. Granted, it was a busy night with only 2 servers, but I watched jealously as the server who tended to us on the previous visit was fleeting around, tending promptly and attentively to HER customers while our server was only seen occasionally somewhere in the distance. The food served here is good enough for me to give this restaurant another try in the future. Knowing what I know now, I will insist to be seated in the area where the brunette server who served us at the first visit will be working. If all else fails, I will exchange my remaining certificates for a different restaurant. read more
