It's a small, family-owned spot with plenty of indoor seating. You order at the counter and then grab a table. I was in the mood for a cheeseburger but not a bun, and the owner was very accommodating and made mine as a lettuce wrap. The patty was charred to perfection, and the melted cheese paired really well with the fresh onions, pickles, and tomatoes. Everything tasted fresh, and the homemade sauce tied it all together nicely. My partner ordered a veggie burger and added jalapeños. He forgot to add cheese, and the owner kindly took the burger back and added melted cheese at no extra charge. The veggie burger was perfectly charred and came with the same fresh toppings. Both were well seasoned and tasted good, with nice textures. They were also so juicy that I had to eat them fast since the bread was getting soaked underneath from all of the juice. I enjoyed the fries which were crispy outside and soft inside I would have rathered a different type of bread since I don't care much for potato bread. That kind is a bit sweet but that's just me. A good neighborhood burger joint. I was at the counter for several minutes waiting to order. All they need is a bell to fix that I had the basic hamburger this time, but I do plan to try others. The meat was cooked well and properly seasoned. Vegetables were fresh and in the right proportions. The downside is the bun was soft and did not hold together. This makes for a messy experience. Fries were good and well-seasoned, but standard frozen fries. (if I am wrong, correct me) I asked about the chicken wings and they are frozen, but the buffalo sauce is made in house. I let them know that a buffalo chicken sandwich might be nice for the menu since they already have a chicken sandwich and they agreed. Like I said, it's a good burger. Not memorable or anything, but it does the job. I will come back and try some of the other options. The menu seemed limited so that shouldn't take too many visits. First time here. This is the same (very nice) owners/family that moved down the street. You order at the counter- no table service- but they do deliver your food to your table. Updating Loco Burger to a full five stars as they've made it past their soft opening, consistently serve a tasty burger, and have improved the presentation. Had the Peruvian Burger which despite the two colors of chiles only had a slight hint of heat. The burger patty itself was well-formed (the owner proudly pointed out that they hand-formed their patties; no frozen hockey pucks here) and cooked to a nice medium (see side view photo). Fries could have been cooked a bit crisper, but that's one of my general demand for fries rather than Loco Burgers being undercooked or anything. My wife and I took our grandson to try this place after seeing such positive reviews. We thought the smash burgers were okay if a little on the dry side, but nothing special, same with the fries. The onion rings were twice as expensive as the fries and essentially tasteless. Pretty basic ambiance (we ate inside), but terrible service. The guy cooking in the back came out and took my order but was none too pleased to have to do so. Plus he totally messed up my order after I went over it with him three times. All in all a lackluster experience and we will probably not be returning any time soon. Owned by El Toro Loco up the street which is a nice place. If your child is expecting an American "hot dog" as in a split bun with a long skinny meat tube inside... that is not what your child will get and child may have a meltdown (you've been warned).
