What a phenomenal surprise. Being on the same property as a hotel, our expectations were tempered. There during Happy Hour, we had the ceviche, empanadas, and a couple of Pisco Sours -- the house cocktail (a fizzy whiskey sour type of drink that might be my new favorite). Everything was top notch. We followed with a side of Plantain Fritos (a little sneaky that they're noted as the right complement to the ceviche though not on the HH menu. No big deal because they were worth it. Emmanuela (sp?) provided excellent service. And, almost forgot because everything was great -- the view, even from inside, is stellar. Looking forward to creating some reason to return.

Excelente ceviche y toda la comida. Gracias Carlos por la buena atención.

Muchas gracias Carlos. Excelente atención y la comida muy buena 100o/o recomendable. Me encantó el ceviche, churrasco a lo pobre maracuya sour

waitress was very kind and has good recommendations, came on a saturday around 2pm. got seated right away at a table with a nice ocean view. good came out a little slow but allowed us to share nice conversation and take time over meal. food was stellar and the branzino is a must order. love how everything was spicy

Adjusting to 3.5 because they have a bad wasp problem if you are sitting out on the patio. It made for an uncomfortable eating experience. Staff confirmed there is a nest out there which is concerning because wasps bite!! The staff, however, were kind to move us indoors which I appreciate. But a heads up to anyone sitting outside. Maybe just sit inside. We had the Aji de Gallena 4/5 Beef heart skewers (came back for this 5/5) Platanos 3/5

Puerto 27 - Great Food with a View The food was delicious and the ocean view is stunning -- perfect for a relaxing meal. Service was friendly, though it could benefit from better timing and coordination. That said, this is a go-to spot in Pacifica for good food and beautiful scenery. I'll definitely be back.

Had a wonderful lunch here for my niece's birthday! The best thing we had was the grilled octopus. It may be the best octopus I've had, perfectly cooked with an excellent char 10/10. The group loved the crispy fried whole branzino 9/10. Fried plantains were standard but still great 8/10. Ceviche was fresh with loads of fish and shrimp and paired with plantain chips 8.5/10. Chicharron de Pollo is basically fried nuggets, almost has a Chinese flavor because of the 5 spice 7.5/10. My other fave was the Parihuela which is a seafood bouliabaise. Loads of seafood and delicious broth. You should eat this with some rice 8.5/10. The only disappointment was the mushroom empanadas, they were a little bland, they were filled with mushrooms, but strangely lacked the flavor 5/10. The view is amazing to match the food.

There are limited dining options in Pacifica aside from fast dining restaurants and adding the "dogs allowed" really narrowed down to an even smaller number. When visiting the coast, eating seafood is on the itinerary. Puerto's menu had a lot of dishes I liked. My own rule is if I see branzino on the menu, I must order. We also ordered the mushroom empanadas, oysters, paella, and the branzino. All the items were scrumptious. The stew that coated the branzino plate had a nice kick. The fish was meaty and had a nice crispy skin. The empanadas were so delicious. The cheese and mushroom went well together. The oysters were a mix of large and small, with miso vinaigrette and cocktail sauce. They were ok. The food was great overall. Our waiter was very personable and attentive. The restaurant was packed inside with happy diners. They also have a balcony to enjoy the view, when the fog doesn't obstruct the beach. Note, it's next to PCH so the traffic noise can be distracting. Wish there was some music to mask the rumbling of engines and create an ambiance outside. Perhaps there's a city ordinance against public noise. We ended up played our own music at a low volume.

Outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The service was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious, and the beautiful view made everything even more special. It was a wonderful place to bond with my family, and we truly enjoyed every moment. Our server had a great attitude and made us feel welcomed. Even the rest of the staff, they truly care for their customers. We also appreciated the manager checking on us to ensure everything was perfect. Highly recommended!!!

It was a busy Friday night and we had a group of like seven and we didn't have a reservation and didn't call ahead and they seemed busy but they still got us sat pretty quickly. The service and food was really good. I've never had this style of food or been here before, but I did really love what I ordered and I think everybody else at the table did as well. I also have to say sometimes our group can be stereotyped and I felt like they treated us great and just like everyone else and I really appreciated that.

Great restaurant located right across from the beach! Looks a little out dated on the outside but the inside is super modern. Large bar area. Came on a Sat night around 6pm. Restaurant was pretty full. Service was extremely slow. But our server Armando took great care of us! Food was delicious. We had the classic ceviche, 3 empanadas tester, and lomo saltado. The empanadas were my favorite!

I came here with a large group and was a little worried I wouldn't be able to eat - (I have celiac - no gluten). The staff was very helpful and things were noted on the menu (thank you!) I

The drinks were a 10/10! The food was delicious 9/10. The lomo saltado was a bit bland; it needed more seasoning or a sauce on the side. My husband's dish was delicious! We went today, Feb 14th, even though they were fully booked, the host was able to seat us in the bar area, which had a beautiful view of the ocean and the mountains. Even though it did take a while for our appetizer and food to come out, the service was still amazing! My husband and I will be coming back!

We waked into a large dark wood ala refurbished 1970s interior restaurant with plenty of half circle booths, large tables for groups and bar and dace floor that seems to be available for live music. We came on what looked like and felt like a locals regular night full of families and well dressed seniors. I hate being seated by a busser station or kitchen listening to the noise or the staff thinking they can talk crap about customers because they are stacking dishes or running a credit card but that is exactly what happened. Being hangery (hungry-angry) makes us change our dining standards. This being said we had to listen to the young staff's complaining. My partner ordered and received a large seafood salad and I ordered fish and chips. My food tasted like a large refrigerator Orida fish patty that was fried and large slices of potatoes that came out of the same oil. Being from the San Francisco bay area I compare all my sea food to that and have to say that I was greatly disappointed with the lack of taste even though I see that it was "handmade beer batter" dish. Unfortunately, I dont have too many positive things to say about this place except it is a good place to cure hugry.

It is with sadness that I write this update…read more My visit there this past weekend was without a doubt the most depressing restaurant experience of all my many years of dining out. It's always been a dated space, but it has crossed over into musty and dirty. It didn't help that the place was also deserted. I felt like I was in a movie scene where the protagonist wanders into a deserted roadside cafe to order coffee and a sandwich from a rough-talking waitress and the only sound in the otherwise empty restaurant is the incessant droning of a ballgame from the ancient TV (hmm...that's kind of almost exactly what happened). This was mid-day on a Sunday when it used to be a hopping time for them. Granted, it was between Christmas and New Year's, but I suspect another part of it is that they no longer serve breakfast. Their breakfasts were hearty and delicious and a big weekend draw; sadly, the breakfast chef (I think he may have been one of the owners or the father of the current owner) passed away two years ago and breakfast was taken off the menu. I gave two stars because my sandwich and fries were still good, but I highly doubt I'll be back, ever. There doesn't seem to be any effort at all to create an inviting or even clean atmosphere. I remember being surrounded by other diners and hearing the happy chatter of families celebrating birthdays. Is it different at dinnertime? Possibly, but I just can't see how.
