Updated from 01/01/2025 - someone hacked my account and left a misleading review, had to repost The project took longer than expected, unfortunately when unexpected personal issues arose for the workers. We have to remember we're dealing with people. The issue is we see the purchase as a concrete product and get frustrated when delays or problems occur. Then the staff has to walk a fine line making sure they back up the people doing the physical work. I understand this is labor intensive and takes a skill level. My complaint is I have an expectation when I pay for something and I see it done in phases due to delays, I get frustrated. I would recommend to anyone looking to do a landscape project, make sure you understand weather and personal things cause delays, if you got the flu, then someone in the landscape crew might get ill as well. Some crews are doing multiple jobs at once and your project will be done in phases. Things have to be set up and dry etc. Plan on getting the work done before you expect to use the yard to entertain. The second thing that came up is if you add or change any part of the project you will be charged extra, If you decide after work has started that you wanted your pergola to be on concrete pillars, then the cost will change and I felt it was higher than it should have been. I strongly suggest really going over the plans and making sure you're clear on what is included before finalizing the invoice. read more

Sharp contracting should not be trusted to do work for you. They have someone come out do shoddy work and expect you to accept it and then when you complain about it they send someone back out. And try to do the work the way it was initially supposed to be done but then they leave the worksite and leave work a finish. If anybody else is experiencing this, please contact the register or contractors and requested your money be returned or have somebody come out and do the job. Other than sharp contracting. Refinished existing cool deck that keeps cracking by disguising cracks with a flag stone effect. Great business practices by Honoring warranty even though past the time due to many cancellations due to rain and or other scheduling problems. Employee Richard did outstanding work. If I could give zero stars, I would. Sharp Contracting is by far one of the most unprofessional and dishonest companies I've ever dealt with. Their crew was completely unreliable--showing up late (if at all), working with no time structure, and leaving projects half-finished. The work they did manage to complete was sloppy and careless, creating an unsafe environment for my dogs and family. What they advertise in their showroom is a complete misrepresentation of the actual product and service they deliver. It's all a sales pitch with no integrity behind it. The dishonesty was blatant, and every step of the process felt like I was being roped into their business. This is not just a bad company--it's a terrible one. Our project began with a great estimator coming out. He was really friendly, drew up a sketch for us, and left us with an estimate the very same day. We liked how everything looked and they had competitive rates. We decided we would look over all the estimates and make a decision. We ultimately decided to move forward and there are no worries here. Our front yard came out great! We have the best front yard in the neighborhood, and are super satisfied! I had an excellent experience from start to finish. My estimator was super friendly and answered all the question I had as they came to my mind. When it came time to move forward with my estimate I decided to go see the showroom in Chandler. It is beautiful in there and the office staff welcomed me right away. The crew that came out to do my concrete were awesome as well. They worked hard through the day and were prepared I didn't have to do anything besides watch my amazing job be completed. The management here is awful. The workers that came on site were good, but the front office and general manager will ignore you for months. I was told 4 separate times someone would show up to finish my project and four no show no calls. I had to chase them for them finally finish the project. (which was not correct with what I discussed with the project manager) I've been emailing and calling for weeks now for them to come fix the issues with their work and they continue to ignore me. Cracks in the concrete within weeks and terrible job around my pool. Issues happen with work but constantly chasing this company has gone on long enough. Take no responsibility and never call back and ignore emails. read more

This company is unscrupulous. I highly suggest you find a different company to do your project. I contracted for a retaining wall and a paver patio. After i signed the contract and paid a $5k (20%) deposit, i was given a start date and told the lead workers name. I was then told that since the worker doesn't return to the office every day, i would need to call the office to make a payment. EACH DAY. I contacted the GM/Founder of the company to discuss. He told me that they have taken daily payments for over 20 years in business. I told him I found this highly unusual. I told him in my experience with other contractors, I had never heard of this. And my friends, some of whom are contractors had never heard of this. He was very condescending and said that he had more experience than me and all my friends put together. The GM said that I was a "different" client than those they usually deal with. I can only assume he said this because I was asking questions. I told him I was expecting to pay along the way, but not daily. The company had not laid out what was going to happen each day, nor how long the job would take. I also said to him, why would i make a payment on day one of the job when I already make a $5k payment? After pretty much calling him out for his attitude, he changed the way he was talking to me. We agreed that he would send a payment schedule based on completion of tasks. I also told him that i wanted polymeric sand used instead of normal silica sand. He agreed. It didn't make it into the contract. When it came time to purchase the sand, they tried to talk me into silica sand. I said no, we had discussed and it was to be polymeric sand. The company came back with a $400 change order to pay for the sand. I told the office manager that the GM and I had verbally agreed on polymeric. She said it's not in the contract so I had to pay extra for it. So much for the GM and his word. It means nothing to him apparently. At this point, after a couple of delays in the work, I just wanted to job finished so I paid for it. I was also hounded by the office manager for payment every time they thought they had reached the milestones. When they said they had finished the job and left around noon, my wife found a small spot where sand had not been applied. The workers were already gone, but the guy that brings supplies was cleaning up trash. I told him about it and he said he'd let the workers know and they would be out the next morning to fix it. He finished cleaning and left. Not 10 minutes after he was gone, the office manager called me. At this point I owed $3,155 to the company. She said she understood there was a small fix that was needed, but she wanted to hit my credit card for $3000 and after the workers came back the next day, she would hit it for the balance of $155. I said just charge the card tomorrow for the full amount. Her statement, and i quote, "We need to get that money today." I said no, the job is not done. She argued that it was. I told her if she charged my card, i would report the charge as fraudulent. She said, fine, the workers would be out in the morning. She ended up calling the workers and made them fix it that day at about 5 pm that evening. In summary, this company is terrible to work with and I HIGHLY SUGGEST you find someone else to do your project. However, the workers that did my job were awesome. They did a great job. read more

A 4-day job is still ongoing at 178 days. We have gone through the process of filing with the ROC and Sharp was issued a directive, after spending time preparing for the inspection in advance, but most items were deemed "minimum industry standards".The concrete does NOT look like their brochure or their showroom. We believe the stain has been compromised in several areas so it's more dull and noticeable. Our house walls, retaining walls, and other items were over sprayed with stain. When they tried to repair the paint, they got paint on the new concrete. Several times, this was repeated like a circus. Our septic system clean outs were covered with their concrete mixture and had to be cleaned out, but are still cemented shut. Even with photos of the process, ROC says there is no 'proof' they are responsible since our house is 25 years old. Our 'old' driveway is stained with their product. We have before and after photos and photos of their trucks leaking product, but that is not proof enough. They never covered the pool and got stain and sealer in it. They attempted to clean it, but gouged the pebble tec off and left a rusty razor blade in the bottom of our pool. The concrete pebbles in our navigator was excessive and we had to take it in for repair twice. They removed our pool fence and charged us an extra $350 to reinstall it. The deco drain in our contract was to be steel. They installed plastic, incorrectly, and sprayed it with the stain. It had to be completely replaced and installed better. The finish around our patio columns was rough and unsightly, They had to sand and resurface to try to make it look better. They pay no attention to detail. Sharp refused to repair several long cracks, claiming that they would just come back and if they filled them now, they would not be warranted later. Their employees were consistently hours later than shceduled and many times they did not show up at all. No communication. One night we came home well after dark and an employee was working in our backyard using his cell phone light. One of their employees was on his cell phone constantly. Frustrated after several months of this, we asked him to hang up and focus on finishing the work properly... he THREW his phone across our yard! This was scary for my wife and we did not feel safe with him at our home after that display of temper. Both of the toxic managers were rude, insulting, aggressive, made personal attacks on us and lied about our attitudes with them. They refused our calls, told us not to email them and at one point told us they could slow our job down. And they did. We signed a contract and paid the down payment on June 10, and the job did not start until Sept. 11th, 2025. To top it off, they took out a 20 day notice of lien on our property a full 8 months after they received our down payment and 4 months after being paid over $33K in full. This is harassment.! We believe the stress of dealing with Sharp contributed to my husband's emergency heart surgery 3 weeks ago. Be aware, you will be doing yourself a big favor to NOT use this company. read more
