Good pizza and beer place in Latrobe. They have a great patio/deck, but it's actually a separate business with different hours and a different menu (go figure). Anyway, Sharky's has a great view of the mountains and ample portions of food. The Shark Attack sandwich was huge and very good. The wing-flavored pizza is also interesting. Sharkys used to be my favorite. I moved 40 minutes away and haven't been there for a while. I was so excited to go tonight. It was awful. The wings weren't good. It was $4 burger night. It said they charged for extras. I thought that was like cheese bacon stuff like that. Nope. They charged us for mayo, mustard, onion, pickles, lettuce, onion, tomato. All stuff the waitress asked if we wanted on it as if it came on it. The pulled pork tater tots have been cut in half. I ordered one for the table to share and was embarrassed at how small it was. Very disappointed. I won't have to worry about wasting a trip back. I'll go Dino's instead. read more

Stopped in for dinner with five of my coworkers. The staff was friendly and our food came out quickly. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad, which I personally found to be underwhelming. It's a nice portion, however it lacked variety and there was too much additional buffalo sauce floating around the salad, which made it soggy. I do not think it was worth it for the price. read more

Used to be one of my favorite places, until they changed their menu. The fish sandwich used to be cod, with a crispy breading, now it is grouper with that thick pub style breading, very greasy. The chicken vegetable pasta used to be made with angel hair now it is regular spaghetti. We went there last night because the couple we were with wanted something different, I got the California style cheesesteak, and it was cold, and the cheese was not even melted. Also, my friend ordered wings and only wanted the flappers, and they up charged her for that. I'll be going to Dino's from now on...too many bad experiences. read more

Well I waited 10 minutes to get waited on at the bar but to be honest they were extremely busy. Once waited on all was good. Food came out quickly and the bar staff were friendly. Very crowded for a Wednesday so that's a good sign that are doing good by the patrons. read more

Both of the sarah's did a phenomenal job, hostess sarah, and waitress sarah who started Monday sarah. I appreciated their service and the food was delicious. I come In here every night due to my schedule for $1 pizza slices to end my night on a positive note. But one night I came in and found out $1 slices had ended and this new late night Menu had started and I was completed blindsided by this. I wish that sharkys would have at least said something about this or made some sort of advertisement about how they were changing the way they were doing things but they did not. I'm very upset and disappointed; the only reason I come in still is due to the great bar staff and late night servers who are great to talk to. read more

"Ooh baby, do you know what that's worth," sang Belinda Carlisle on her 1987 number-one single, "ooh heaven is a place on earth". While I have never met Ms. Carlisle (or any members of the Go-Go's, for that matter), I can only imagine she must have been singing about Sharyk's Cafe, in beautiful Latrobe, PA. While this railroad town is well known for legends like Arnold Palmer, Rolling Rock beer, Mr. Rogers, and the banana split, it is Sharky's Cafe which has elevated the town to the greatest heights of supremacy. While visiting town, my wife Sheryl, and I were parched in a way that only an ice-cold beer could satisfy. As I pulled into the parking lot she said, "ooh look at that big Pier!" I guess size does matter, fellas : ( Upon entrance to this noble establishment, I was greeted in a way reminiscent of the Trap Family in the sound of music. Each waitress introduced themselves in a singy chorus which we found charming. The bartender looked at me and said, "Hey Job, will it be the usual?". As it was my first time at Sharky's I was taken back that not only did she know my name, but she presumably knew what type of drink I liked. Curiously, I said "...uh, sure?". Just then I saw her hands turn into a blur as she constructed my favorite drink, cranberry and vodka with two maraschino cherries. Sheryl, of course, had a Budweiser. She used it to washdown the popcorn she was stuffing her face with. I try to be supportive. For dinner we chose chicken wings. "KEEP 'EM COMING!" I yelled into the kitchen. My wife and I are both avid fans of the Pittsburgh sports team, and especially the Penguins. Although we live closer to Pittsburgh, we have travelled to Latrobe from time to time and have very much enjoyed catching a game at Sharky's. Their many TV's are positioned to make any view a great view. The complimentary popcorn is addicting and serves as a great compliment to a cold beer while you decide what to eat. I love the wings - you can't go wrong with any of their sauce varieties. Another favorite are the ribs and the cheesesteaks. The service has been fast and helpful. The owner is friendly and seems to really want to create a great environment for all things Pittsburgh. Worth the trip! read more

This place has no clue ! Bartenders had RBF all night long and made green tea shots in one ounce shot glasses. To say the food was mediocre is a complement. Wings fantastic but the spin dip was flavorless. I asked the server if there is pork in the stuffed peppers and she relied "no its sausage" DUMB Bouncers card patrons at random in sure they get a lot of underagers in due to the lax security. If not for being right next to a university this place would shut down . Owners should come up with a new business plan and train their staff to be more professional I will not be coming back read more

When Im in western PA, Ill come here if I dont feel like going to Dino's. The wings here are pretty much the same as Dino's. I have to say though, the sweet and hot wing sauce here is so so salty! After a long, hot day at Steelers training camp, this place hit the spot. Great beer and the triple burger was fantastic.

WARNING: Dine at your own risk on Friday evenings. I do not know which is riskier, dining here on a Friday or playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded rusty six-shooter. I've had better service at the DMV. My only hope is that our waitress was freshly new or part way through a two week notice. I understand that the virus has left many businesses short handed and searching for employees, but I'm truly amazed. After 20 minutes or so, we finally were able to order drinks. Me and my fiancé ordered mojitos. Another 15 minutes later, we were told that they were out of mint so we had to order something else. No big deal, we ordered something else. The food took forever and we saw our waitress twice within the 1 hour we were there. One of of orders came out wrong, but to prevent hurting the waitresses feelings we kept it to ourselves. To make a long story short, we eventually got our check and left in a hurry due to being late for a family get together as a result of the slow service. We arrive home, and lo and behold, I realize that we were charged for two mojitos that we never received. So $20 worth of make-believe mojitos went to the restaurant and it's safe to say we will never eat here again. read more

A decent sports bar with better than average food. I've enjoyed whatever I've eaten here, from wings through steaks, and there is plenty to choose from. Sharkey's is a bit limited in their beer selection, but they're all cold. The wait staff is friendly and seem to enjoy conversation. I asked the waitress for the best thing on the menu and she recommended a philly cheese steak wrap and it was delicious. The atmosphere is laid back, they have pool and a few arcade games, although I have to add that their fooseball table has been broken for a while (boo, fooseball is my favorite). Garbage! This used to be a great affordable place to eat but those days are long gone! 10.99 for a buffalo sandwich was a complete joke. Pretty sure the bun and chicken was from McDonald's dollar menu then dipped in sauce. 5.50 for a bottle of beer. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I haven't been here for 3 years and after today it will be never again. This is the first review I have ever done that is how bad the service and food was. read more

I can't recommend this place. The staff seem like they would rather die than work there. When I arrived, it seemed a bother that I was there. All the food we ordered was good but stay away from the mixed drinks as they are a ripoff. My wife even tried ordering a Long Island Iced Tea and even that was a ripoff. They use their own premix which again has very little alcohol in it. If you want a place to have a night out with your spouse and have a couple "stiff" drinks................this ain't the place. read more

Stopped by with friends and I went straight to the back to play pool. They have two different sections to the place so I was initially confused, but my friends had been there before and knew just where to go. Such a fun atmosphere and so busy! The waitress took a long time to take our orders and bring drinks to our table, but I could tell she was just very busy and don't blame her. We got a lot of appetizers for the table to share. Fried food and nachos with plenty of dipping sauces. I must say it was expensive for just about everything there but I still had a good time. Not a place to go to drink a lot unless you also have a lot of money to spend. I will go again when I am in the area! read more
