Excellent. 4 stars, although we questioned if the habanero salsa was actually what we received as it was green. I don't like to be a hater but I was very disappointed by this meal. I got the chicken burrito and it was super bland and also somehow extremely soggy? The concept is similar to Chipotle but in my opinion, chipotle beats them by 100x. I think they need spoons that have holes in them because my whole meal was dripping. We were passing through Amarillo with two kids under 10. Looking for a cheap, local, delicious spot. Absolutely found it here. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Ambiance was casual, and I wasn't worried about my kids disrupting the place. Portions are huge. Food is fresh and really tasty. Affordable prices. You could consider splitting the burritos, etc. awesome. I'm jealous that Amarillo gets to keep this place and we have to go on with similar but less tasty versions with qdoba and chipotle. Bought a barbacoa burrito at BSA hospital for lunch. It was cold, the tortilla and barbacoa were cold and the barbacoa had a foul smell to it. It was expensive and not any good. Will never buy from Sharky's ever again read more

When in Amarillo, Sharkey's is the burrito place that you hear about the most. Our hotel concierge recommended this place to us and we decided to give it a try. There was a line on a Saturday night so there was a little wait. The staff was kind and masked and gloved up for COVID. I ordered the steak burrito with various Ingredients and it was pretty good. My husband ordered the chicken burrito and he thought it was meh. His words, "the chicken was a little flavorless." The chips were seasoned with a special salt that made them tasty to eat on their own. Although chips and queso is a combo that can't be beat. It's clear this place is a local favorite and is different from chipotle and free birds in its own way. For me, it wasn't better than Chipotle but definitely better than Freebirds. read more

I paid $21 for a burrito and 15% tip. I used the drive through for my to go order. The man at the drive through gave poor customer service and didn't include napkins or plastic ware to eat my food. What a convenient stop, close to the highway. This is like other "build your own" mexican food stops, but for some reason it is way better. The flavors are better, the options are wider, and they offer different sizes so you can pack on the meat! Best nachos anywhere & you decide what goes on them. Like an assembly line. The staff that works here have always been high school kids best that I can tell & they're nothing short of awesome. Friendly staff, best burritos & nachos anywhere. I've been to Chipotle's twice. Once in Amarillo & once in Wichita Falls. Sucked both times. THIS is the go to place. They do not have a Mexican menu or alcohol so don't come looking for that. No combo plates or such. Just the best burritos & nachos that are hand made right in front of you. There's always hints to watch out for to clue you in when a place is going to wow you. This place was it, the decor was great, the line was nearly out the door (though when noon hit, the line was out the door), and the service was impeccable. This was my first visit here and what looked almost like a Qdoba on the food prep line, was definitely not a Qdoba. The options here were more plentiful and tastier. I can easily recommend the carnita meat, it went well with my nachos and what really wowed me was the nearly whole jalapenos (ok, they were cut in thirds, long ways) and were a great bite when you got to those.
