Salsa and chips were great! Calling and ordering to go worked well. Tortilla soup is also delicious, but it was a bit salty. Overall though, it is in a convenient area and for my first time trying Tex Mex was a good experience. read more

If you really like a good salsa to enjoy with your chips, you would hate this place. Since I moved to Amarillo, and tried over a dozen Mexican restaurants, this place has the worst salsa. Literally tastes like ketchup. The guacamole is pretty good. The tacos de carne asada is marginal. The atmosphere is nice. The salsa ruined my experience. read more

We came for dinner and Happy Hour was ongoing from 4-7. The drinks were delicious.i like the option for spicy fajitas. While I enjoyed the fajitas, there was more fajita veggies than actual fajitas - which was a disappointment. The food was delicious. The service was great as well. read more

Got almost 50 dollars mixed fajitas just to get a small portion of meat, instead got more unions than meat and it was BAD, it didn't taste good... worst fajitas I ever had would not recommend!! read more

Good Food & Service We have eaten here several times over the past few years. Have enjoyed the meals each time. Easy to locate just off 45th Ave although it is off the beaten path. Definitely a place for locals. Atmosphere is not fancy but relaxing and very casual. Our waiter Mason was efficient and friendly. Ate too many Chips and Salsa, but really good. I had the Chicken Fajitas for one $15. My spouse had the Brisket Tostados $12. Both were tasty and portions were large. Had some to take home. Presentation was basic not fancy. Plenty of free parking available in the area outside. No Valet service. read more

We ate lunch there a few days ago. Place was clean as a pin and the service was great. We both had beef enchiladas... they were very tasty but the texture of the meat was so finely ground that it kinda' ruined the enchilada. I now know that they make brisket enchiladas. I will go back for them. I had a Strawberry Daiqui. It was good but in a very small champagne flute. Prices were good... worth going back again. read more

My wife stook me to La Fiesta Grande on 45th, for a birthday lunch today. We were seated at 12:20 p.m, sat there with no wait staff coming to us, till 12:45 p.m, when I went to the front and asked for help. At 12:55 p.m, we decided to leave. If they had been swamped, I could've understood, but they weren't that busy. La Fiesta is always my birthday go to, but it'll be awhile before I go back now. read more

I would give it zero stars if I could, the food was atrocious. Absolutely disgusting and everything was bland. The service was just as bad, we were at the restaurant for at least an hour and saw our server two times. read more

Food is good service is good a little on the pricey side for what you get! The last two Tim's I ate here I got sick shortly after eating here so haven't been back in a while! read more

I eat there after church several times a month. Its usually pretty good. My husband had Covid and I ate there with a friend today. I got a take out order for him as he was hungry for Mexican food. I brought it home and it was dry and salad was mixed with what there was of the queso together. The beans were dry abd the chip savck was soaked with the cheese sauce that was supposed to be on the enchilada. I paid over 10.00 so I paid for terrible food! I probably will never go back. just don't take out!! read more

So when I got here for lunch everything seemed fine.. Untill the waiter came to our table. Nice guy but he instantly spilled salsa all over my wifes lap and then gave her some paper towels. Then the food came out. The wait wasnt long because we were the only ones in the restaurant but it was all served on plates that were all cracked and chipped and you could see all the brown bacteria in the chips of the plate. Food tasted great but we only got our drinks filled once... Then when he brought our ticket he dropped my copy on the ground and then just walked away... What gives!? read more

I am visiting family in Amarillo and this is the second time to eat here. Both times they we're busy and the food arrived quickly, fresh, hot with an authentic Mexican flavor. The green chili caso is a must have. Hatched chilis in a white Mexican cheese, not spicy with great flavor. 1st time I had the brisket nachos and the 2nd time I had the brisket tostada dinner. You will not go wrong with either one. The brisket has a great flavor. I will be back on my next visit to Amarillo read more

I was really hoping this place was good. Ordered fajitas for two and a side of queso. The fajitas were good but the queso and salsa was not good AT all, extremely bland and salsa had a pure tomato taste. Beans were good.. rice wasn't included for some reason? Overall 2 stars. read more

If I could give it a ZERO I would. Absolutely the WORST carry out in town. Waited over 30 minutes for 2 tamales and a taco!! Next time try TACO BELL read more

It was good and nice to go out and have a wonderful time. Service was great food was hot and yummy. Will go back.

They always have wonderful food! I love their chip! They are thin and make you want to keep eating more and more. They also have THE BEST fajitas in town! I like to get them and share them with my mom. read more

They have suck everytime we have been there. Haven't been there in a long time, maybe they have have changed but I doubt it.

Where to start?.... Atmosphere is cliche for a texmex restaurant and the bar is uncomfortable. Chairs are awkward feeling so you want to place your feet on something to balance your self. Chairs are to high off the ground to place them there and there is no rail off the bar. Your either left with dangling them off your seat swinging like a toddler or you gave to hold them in place on the chair. This turns into an exercise of endurance since you need to flex your legs to keep them pulled back in an unusual angle. If the exercise wasn't bad enough the "Flaca Tacos" were a mess. Who ever thought to build lettuce wrap tacos with iceberg lettuce was a moron. They sent what turned out to be 4 thick triangles of lettuce on a plate piled with poorly seasoned chicken scraps tossed with corn and black beans. I couldn't get one in my mouth. I'd say the only reason I'd come back is to see if there is a woman out there who can fit those tacos in her mouth so i can propose marriage. read more

The food was hit-and-miss. The chicken and onions on the fajita plate were hot and flavorful. Queso tasted more store-bought than homemade. Chips were thin and crispy, but salsa lacked in having any heat to it. The refined beans were not salty which I personally prefer, but some may find it to lack in flavor. My biggest issue was with the tables. The seating was rather uncomfortable and many of the tables were very uneven. The waitress even made a joke about how she had to be careful where food was being placed because of how messed up they were. read more

Fair to Medium Tex-Mex Enchiladas! My family and I are local's. We use to eat there now and then but the last few times it was on a down hill roll; We all became sick after the meal, something didn't taste right when we ate it; Against our better judgement we ate it anyway. The chips and hot sauce are always good thou, along with the queso too. The price is commensurate with quality and quantity. I wouldn't recommend it because of the last two visits we had. They use to serve some really good TexMex yrs ago. There are better Tex-Mex Restaurants in town. read more

Actually this review is for the La Fiesta on Ross-Osage across from Sam's Club and next to the Post Office. I've heard the La Fiesta on 45th isn't nearly as good, so I stick to my spot. Order the nachos grande ....and be hungry because with 2 people munching on this huge plate you probably won't have room for the entrees. The Fiesta sampler costs a little more but is excellent as well. As for the main course, the deluxe dinner is pricy but would fill a competitive eater. The fajita meat is delicious! Super tender and great flavor. The margaritas are very good and prices very reasonable for portions. If I'm eating Tex-Mex that is a little different than ordinary I go to Leal's, but if I want traditional this is where I go ....oh the sopaipillas make a great finsher,if you have room! read more

Tasty and a great local place. It's nice to find authentic tex-mex close to all the hotels that's not a chain. Food was fast and our server was super friendly. Try the fried stuffed avocados! read more

Food isn't very good. Guacamole tastes like paste. Ordered a shrimp salad for lunch. The shrimp were so salty I couldn't eat but a few. Husband had shrimp tacos and the shrimp were seasoned but did not taste good. Used to stop in here when we lived in Amarillo - will not stop in again. read more

Great Margarita's Food excellent, staff very friendly, especially Bridgette our server. it's important for a server to initiate a conversation about where you're from etc....especially when the Texans notice our Wisconsin ..non accent. It increases the likability factor of the person and the restaurant. I recommend this food to everyone! Salsa and warm tortilla chips upon seating is great touch as well read more

We were just passing through Amarillo and decided to check yelp for a good local Mexican restaurant. La Fiesta Grande popped up with Great reviews and a location very close to interstate 40. We were not disappointed. The service was fast and friendly. The food was very tasty and well prepared. Presentation was very enticing. And their margarita was indescribably delicious. It is a shame I don't live closer because we would be back on a regular basis. It is well worth the stop. read more

We think this is the grosses Mexican food in town. I don't know how it's stayed around so long...our guess is the cheap drinks from the bar. Other then that it makes us ill. We eat alot of authentic Mexican food so maybe that's it. And, if we eat Tex Mex its higher scale. Who knows... sorry but its really bad cheap food. But if your on a budget and use to Taco Bell etc and like Happy hour its for you. read more

Recently moved across country and the locals at the hotel we were staying suggested here for our anniversary dinner. Food was fantastic, service was the best we had anywhere on the 8 day move. I have eaten a lot of Mexican food but this by far has been the best. I had cheese enchiladas with sour cream sauce. Antonio a young man was our waiter and I took the time to tell him how great he was and tipped him well. read more

I came here based on the previous reviews and thought this would be a 'must visit' while here in Amarillo. Boy are these reviews misleading! I was brought to my table and the first thing I noticed was food on the floor. Upon pointing it out the hostess statex, "I guess I need to sweep that up." REALLY! ?!? That should have been my cue to leave but wait, there's more! As I sat at the table I noticed that there was salt all over it. When my waitress came, I asked for napkins to clean it up while pointing it out to her. She apologized, left and came back with chips, salsa and water then asked me what would I like to drink? I ordered a beer plus those napkins. She said she forgot. She brought back the beer but no napkins. I went ahead and ordered the chicken and steak fajitas with corn tortillas. Ten minutes later I got my order plus those napkins! Of course, I also got flour tortillas! !! After sending those back, I tried the food and the steak was so rubbery that I couldn't eat it. The corn tortillas were hard. However, the beer was cold! This was a bad experience. read more

This was one of my favorite places to eat years ago. However my revisit was very disappointing!! Queso was from a can. I ordered tortilla soup and it was served with stale chips! The burrito we ordered tasted like a TV dinner! Serve was great but the food was horrible!! Will not return!!! read more

I had the bacon wrapped shrimp with jalapenos and rice and bns. It was good, but unfortunately i couldn't finish the plate. Which is not bad. Only thing is that I asked the server between two flavored margaritas, to see which one was "the best" and before i could finish my sentence he said "Do you have ID?" Which is totally fine because it is his job except that (as a fellow server, that serves in Dallas) you should probably not be so rude and wait till they are done ordering to finally ask for an ID. Then when I asked him the question, "Which is better, the sangria swirl or the prickly pear swirl margarita?" His response was that he didn't know what the prickly pear even was. Like what?? You don't know your menu? Another thing, the pear marg is $7 while sangria is $6, way to upsell dude... goodness. I just ordered the sangria rather than bothering anymore with this guy. Service was good not great after that but he definitely could have been much nicer in regards to drink orders. read more
