How do I best describe Sharetea? It's like the hot girl or boy in high school that you so desperately want to be best friends with. They will do things that drive you crazy like put an expiration date on their stamp cards or explain that your drink has less boba bc they need to make room for the cream on top. WTF! But then you take a sweet, sweet sip of their goodness and all of the nasty things that annoy you about them disappear, because it is just THAT GOOD. Boba pearls as just the right amount of chewiness where your jaw doesn't start hurting when you only have a few left. The sweetest adjustments are just the right amount and they are consistent. Complaining about a slightly dirty floor? How about speaking up to say something to them instead of hiding behind a screen to ruin an awesome place. Everyone who knows me knows I have a boba obsession and when I can make it to this area, I am sure to stop by for a few drinks. Drinks worth trying: 1. Green milk teas and milk teas are my go to. 2. Mango slush with ice cream is unique to this place. No other place makes it like this. 3. Taro is really refreshing. When I was pregnant I did taro with fresh milk often. 4. If you're a fan of caramel and tea combo flavor profile go with Hokkaido milk tea. 5. Matcha tea with crema is delicious and better than Better Buzz's matcha latte IMO. 6. Wintermelon tea with crema and no sugar is amazing if you want to go no caffeine. The wintermelon syrup already has sugar in it so it's the perfect sweetness. Might want to pass drinks: 1. Not a fan of strawberry slush with ice cream. Ice cream doesn't go well with this flavor which is odd. You hope for like a strawberry quik type drink but it just doesn't mix well. 2. Only thing this place has going for it is it's drinks. As I write this review I've been standing at the front counter going on 10 mins, waiting for someone to help me. This place has started to prioritize in person orders, over online orders. I show up shortly after I place my order online only to sit in the store watching people order the drinks from the counter and get them before my order that I placed on online 30 mins ago. Best customer service ever!!!! Staff members are super nice and friendly, as well as quick with the drinks. I ordered a tiger stripe milk tea and I got it within less than a minute. Another thing I would like to mention is how clean the store is. The bathroom is super clean and the color of the walls made the store much more brighter. We had to wait an HOUR for our order of 3 drinks on a Saturday in the afternoon, we were very thirsty and desperate during our long wait and asked for a water which they charged us 0.52 cents for, it was tap water with ice and it was warm when they gave it to us. Out of all the boba places and chains I've been to, I never had to wait this long before. Places like Starbucks and other store are equally as busy and never take this long either. And they should not be charging for tap water. You can almost always get a free cup of water anywhere even if it's a tiny cup, this is a curtesy to your customers especially if you are having them wait so long. read more

I found this amazing place from following someone on instagram who posted about Escondido finally having a boba place. I have to say I was so excited I went the next day. This place is truly incredible. I love that you can choose from 3 different types of tea for the classic milk tea. Everything is freshly brewed and hand-made. You can also choose the sweetness level. No longer do I have to be subjected to overly sweetened milk teas. They have a wide variety of other items that I haven't tried yet, but I look forward to working through their menu. I will say there is only 1 size (large), I do wish that they had just 1 size smaller. Beyond that I highly recommend stopping and trying their handcrafted beverages. read more

For a long time this was one of the best boba places in my area. They have a frequent changing menu when it comes to seasonal items and my all time favorite it the Cocoa Crema with boba. The staff makes it for me every time regardless that it has been taken off the menu. This place trumps Tapioca Express for me. I'm happy we got a great boba place in Escondido that allows you to order online. I have been coming to this location for a very long time, twice a week and recently I've noticed way longer waits, and new employees but today was the worst. I placed my order and I'm 10 orders away, only 2 girls making drinks and 1 guy taking orders, but the worst part is one of the girls pulled out her phone, started checking her messages or media, then placed a call and started talking as she's trying to make her drink meanwhile leaving one girl handling the orders...smh. Stopped by to get boba while I was in the area. It was their one year anniversary so they had a deal for buy one drink, get one 50% off. We ordered online through their website which was pretty easy to navigate and put in the code for the discount. The drinks weren't ready when we got there so there was a little bit of a wait but it wasn't bad at all. I had the mango milk green tea with boba. It wasn't overly sweet and the boba was fresh. *This is NOT a place for families. Stopped by today to check it out as I've been hoping for a good boba place to pop up. My first impression was the incredibly inappropriate and loud music playing; to say the lyrics were extremely sexually explicit is putting it lightly. Secondly, even though there were several families with children under the age of 12, there are no options for kids that weren't full-sized drinks. That would be ok except that when we asked to split a drink for our 4 and 2yo we were told it would be $1 extra. I just wanted another cup, not a whole other drink! I've been to a lot of boba places and the customer service was definitely lacking - there was even a sign saying that there were no refunds for drinks that you didn't like. I'll take my business to 85 degrees or to Tapioca express, where the customer's satisfaction comes first, where I feel comfortable bringing my kids and, not to mention where they are happy to accommodate my mini boba drinkers. read more

The worst service I've ever experienced. The slogan in front of the store wrote that "Buy one get one free", and there is a very small broad next to the door said that "Buy one get one free Classic Pearl milk tea. We did not see it because there are some people cover the broad. So my friend and I waited in line about 15 mins. We ordered 3 drinks, and thought we could get 3 free of any drink with the same price as the slogan saying outside. So the receipt was $30 for 6 drinks individually not for 3 drinks, and we got 6 classic pearl milk tea for free which we ended up with 12 drinks total. We did not want 12 drinks, so we asked the cashier if we could cancle our order and make a new one. The girl worked there said with a very rude attitude that "This is the final sale, so they cannot refund or cancel the order for us, anway you are cuting in line to prevent the other people to get to order", so we could not do anything about it. Then, we ended up with 12 drinks. We was so disappointed. We didn't really care about the price, only the service made us really mad. Disclaimer: I am not a boba guy. I don't order boba in my drinks. I came because my wife wanted to try it. My wife was excited to find Sharetea has opened in a closer location to our home than Kearny Mesa. And with an easy location right off a freeway, this location is definitely convenient. The menu was quite overwhelming as they had so many options to customize your drinks. For the picky boba enthusiast, this is a great option to find your favorite drink and customize it to your perfect liking. I decided to go with a Matcha Milk tea (because our dog was with us and his name is Matcha). I wanted to order it with sweetner, but decided to customize my drink in hopes that it would still taste great with less calories. I was wrong. My tip is to order the drink regular and make changes on your next orders. I felt if I ordered it regular, it would have been just right. I give this place a 3 out of 5 as I would come here again within a month, but not within a week. I'm pretty sure I will change my ratings to 4 stars next visit. read more

The size on these drinks!!! So big! Two drinks came out to about $10 (which is normal) but I'm impressed with the size. I ordered the coffee ice blended with ice cream and my husband ordered the black milk tea.. both with boba. My coffee tasted REALLY good. I would order this without boba as well. Their boba balls are on the firmer side. Doesn't taste like they're honey boba, just plain black pearls. There are plenty of tables for parties of 4. When we went in, there was no line but there were about 5 customers chillin already. Seems like a good place to study/use your laptop, do some work. There is music playing though. They offer stamp cards but the stamp card has an early expiration date. Today is July 24, 2019 and the card expires September 30, 2019. So if you want to get your free drink, you needa come here a lot and get those stamps. They accept Apple Pay. There is self-serve water available. You can adjust your sweetness level (pretty popular with boba cafes). I would come here more often but this place is really far from where I live. Hopefully their other location is closer to my home. I love the atmosphere at this specific Sharetea location, it's perfect for college students to study at and there's plenty of tables to just get together and hangout! Service is quick, easy and precise. The staff here are so helpful and we had a ton of questions and they answered all of them confidently! They have a Top 10 which made deciding so much easier and it did not disappoint!
