Fieldwork Brewing Company offers a casual dining experience in Center City Bishop Ranch with a…read moreself-service, QR-code ordering system. We started with the Crispy Cauliflower, coated with tempura batter and served with lemon aioli; Roasted Brussels Sprouts, topped with chili flakes & Parmesan and served in a cast iron skillet; and the Hummus, topped with Pepitas and served with thin, crispy parm'd pizza bread. The Chopped Kale Salad came with apple, radish, carrot, cotija, and Pepitas, all tossed in a tangy pomegranate vinaigrette; and the Chickpea Salad also had a base of kale topped with chickpeas, roasted sweet potato/carrot, and charred halloumi, and dressed with herbed pesto. The highlight of the menu was their creative pizzas, which you could order either on a thin, crispy Neapolitan crust, or on a thick, soft, square-shaped Detroit-style base with crispy baked cheese edges. The Fun Guy came with porcini cream, mushroom, onion, goat cheese, and pecorino; and the Hail Mary came with beer braised chicken, caramelized onion, cotija, garlic, and Calabrian chili oil, which gave the pizza a flavorful spicy kick. Overall, my favorite items were the Hummus with aromatic pizza bread; and the tantalizingly spicy Detroit-style Hail Mary, but everything was tasty and came at a good value and with quick service too!

Fabulous wine and beer selection! This family-owned business carries local wines from Rubino…read moreEstates Winery and beers from Altamont Beer. Varied and elegant wine display--yet a laid-back, comfortable atmosphere. If you need help finding the perfect complement to your meal, you can ask and everyone behind the counter is very helpful and knowledgeable. If you need a snack and a beverage during your day, this is a great place to drop by. Great customer service and a very clean environment. They also have toilet paper, which could be more rare than wine during the shelter-in-place!

Plus they have a great variety of cocktails and other drinks. My friends and I hang out here all the time, and in my opinion, it's a much better experience than Bridges if you're looking for a restaurant on a golf course. It's usually easy to get a table, the service is amazing, and there's plenty of seating available inside and out. The happy hour menu is one of the best around, and the outdoor bocce ball courts are a fun bonus that make it a great place to relax with family and friends. They have brunch, lunch, and dinner options. It's become one of my family's favorite places to eat, and I think it's seriously underrated. If more people knew about this place, it would be packed every day.

I apologized and left, assuming I had unknowingly broken a rule. I called today to check and was told that dogs are in fact allowed. I'm also unclear why simply walking through the parking lot warranted being approached and shooed away in the first place. So I'm left wondering why I was singled out and given incorrect information. Whatever the reason, the interaction felt unnecessarily unwelcoming and left a very poor impression. I wouldn't choose to patronize a place that makes some people feel as though they don't belong.
