I have a yearly Livermore wine passport and decided to stop here on a quiet weekend day afternoon during the holidays. The place is easy to find and there is plenty of seating inside and out. I was the only one there at the time and the hostess was prompt in talking to me and getting me settled. I wanted to sit inside not only because it was cold but the free wifi is better inside. They have a restroom inside. For passport holders, they don't have the usual tasting but a flight of cab franc aged in various elementals - wood, cement, stainless steel and a combination of all - aged in all the other three. The combination was my favorite! The pours were quite generous and I could not finish them all. The hostess was attentive and knowledgeable. Only downside is that there is limited parking and on a busy day, you have to go around the block to park and it's not convenient. I will go back!

We walked in with a party of 7 on a Saturday around 3:30pm. It's quiet and only 1 other table was taken. Not busy at all. We were poured a complimentary Barrera sparkling wine to start. We had the pleasure of Michael helping us with the tasting. It was $20 for 4 wines or $30 for 4 premium wines. The pour was generous. We liked that the tasting flight was all poured into carafes for us. Theres both indoor and outdoor seating. 1 restroom. You can bring non-smelly snacks like cheese, charcuterie, crackers. Barbera sparkling- good Barbera rose- ok Malbec- ok Petit Verdot- good & smooth Smith ranch cab- good but a bit tannic Cab Franc- good, fruity, smooth Premier Cab- good , fruity, smooth Lineage 2018- more earthy , smooth Lineage 2019- less earthy , smooth

We went to the tasting room and not the winery. We made reservation. The tasting room can fit about 40ppl with a back room for the club members. Upon entrance, we checked in and were greeted with some sparkling wine for each of us to enjoy. We were walked to our table and provided the menu. You can do a la carte wine order or do the tasting. We were 3 couples and as it's our first time, we did both tastings for each couple to enjoy 7-8 different wines. On the 2nd tasting, the pourers provided new wine glasses. That's so appreciated. Great service and attentive pourers. Not the best wine we've tasted but good and we enjoyed the tastings together. There's one unisex clean bathroom. Parking: there are other tasting rooms and businesses in the strip so parking can be an issue. Overall a great Sunday afternoon with friends.

Love the new tasting room and excited to see what they do next with the space! Been going to Steven Kent Winery for about a decade now. I definitely recommend the Lola and Alberino if you like white wine. For reds, they are known for their cabs but their cab franc is the up and coming. Their staff has always been so welcoming and friendly. Ruth always brings a smile when we go in to pick up wine and is also so knowledgeable about what releases are out and what's in the current allocations for members. Also shout out to VJ the prior Somm, although he is no longer with the staff he is surely missed!!! Also if you visit, the benefit of the new tasting room location is being able to check out the neighboring tasting rooms! Longevity is great and Arroyo Cellars around the corner is awesome and run by a group of friends!

Great cabs that score 93-100, well balanced and smooth. New location on South Vasco Road is perfect!

I have visited Steven Kent twice in 2023. First with my daughter at the previous location and then a few weeks ago with my husband at the new location. I love the wines, and the new location is excellent. I particularly enjoyed the 2020 L'Autre Cote Cabernet Franc - Bates Ranch. This is a great place to enjoy and pick up some genuinely top-notch California wines in the Livermore Valley. I would join their club, but I have six wine clubs throughout California. If any of my clubs close, these guys are next in line. In the meantime, I will use my Priority Wine Pass to enjoy the 2 for one tasting. Don't pass these guys up. The wine, service, and ambiance are fabulous.

Stop number 3 on our visit from Sacramento. It was a little bit later in the afternoon so I called first before arriving to make sure they could fit us in. They were so friendly on the phone and told us to come on over. Easy to see and find from Tesla Road. We walked in and we're greeted immediately. We chose to sit outside where we were followed out by Vjay with the tasting menu. Each tasting was described to us and we were given some time to select which one we wanted to taste. After a few moments he came back and I decided to go with the TLC flight for $20. It included one white and 3 reds. When they were brought out he told me about them all and suggested which order to taste in. He came by a couple times to check on us and we had some awesome conversations with him. He ended up recommending some great restaurant and bar/ speakeasy spots which was cool. As we talked a little more with him he gave me a map of which wineries he recommended stopping by which was so sweet of him. Best place to wrap up our tasting and Vjay was awesome! I will definitely be back to try the Allocation flight and see Vjay again! The ground are lovely with great areas for taking pictures. The inside is really nice too but the outside seating is just so relaxing.

If you'r visiting the Livermore Wine Valley, Steven Kent Winery is not one to be missed! A definite stand out amongst cabernets, it won't disappoint from the tasting experience in the Cellar to the atmosphere and customer service of the staff. Make sure to put it on the list of stops you'll make when visiting the Livermore wine valley. In addition to great wine, Steven Kent Winery is also extremely philanthropic. Thank you for all you do for our community.

I stopped into The Steven Kent Winery on a trip to Livermore. The area is dominated by the larger places, but this boutique style winery was a refreshing alternative. Their large but intimate winery is along Tesla with a decent amount of parking right next to the vines. The tasting room is in the basement of a larger building which is a little industrial, but they added some nice tables for group tastings. You are served at the table instead of a bar for a longer and more intimate tasting of their flight. My flight was mostly red with one white IIRC. The server was good describing the wine and it's various attributes. I enjoyed the wine which made the visit great. It was higher end with good quality and flavor. The overall feel is perfect for most older groups looking for something quiet and intimate. The focus here is on the wine rather than a party.

This was a nice quaint winery next to Wente. We didn't have an appt. but we're able to get a table right away. There were a few options for tasting - red, white, and reserve. The staff was very friendly with the tastings. In our group if 6, we each bought a bottle of Ragbag Red from Clearlake as it was our favorite. Stop by if you can!

So I have very mixed feelings about this place. Some things are incredible. Some things are not…read moreso great. I am a member of the "Legends" club. So that to me means it's top of the line membership as indicated by their pricing and what we get. So I feel I should get top notch deals, pricing and service. Turns out, we get the same shaft as the lower club members. Starting with the good, the location is pristine. Nice area with lots of room for kids and adults to mingle and play. The wine is also pretty darn good. Of course there are some better than others but I enjoy most of their wine. The service is also for the most part very good. The waitstaff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Their food is also pretty darn good. It's not incredible, and a bit overpriced but it's fine enough. Their wine pricing is also fair (but of course with the highest membership we get the biggest discount). My biggest complaints would be the price gouging and lack of communication. We made arrangements on a Friday to show Sunday with 6 and asked for the "VIP space upgrade to lounge or upstairs Vista Patio Lounge (when available)". They said no problem. When we showed on Sunday they said it was closed with no notice. Just a sorry. OK whatever. We sit inside (6 people and 2 children) and they charge for 2 children a "non drinker" charge of $10 ($5 each). A head count charge for non-drinkers? For children? Total nonsense! I am spending over $1,200 a year here and you want to gouge me for someone's kids? Their tastings are $40 a pop which is really crazy. Our price is waived on this so that's fine but if you are not a member you are paying a lot for a little. The wines do take a bit of time to come and they don't give you a lot. Kind of a bummer waiting for the taste. We ended up with 4 appetizers (sliders $24, Charcuterie $25, Tater Tots $12 and Pretzel Bites with Grilled Sausage $16) 2 bottles of wine and $4.25 for water and the bill was over $250. Oh and top that off, with 6 people, they charge a mandatory 20% on the bill for a tip and are basing that with taxes (as the button default), not the actual sub-total so they are actually getting about 23%. All in all, I am not sure that the cost is worth what you get. I mean we are giving them a lot of money just to be members and then having to pay more and more for anything else that really should be included (like water and kids) makes this place just a bit too over-rated for me. Probably end my club membership in the fall and go someplace that doesn't place money first.

What's nice is that we can bring food in, so we had food doordashed in. They also have games like corn hole and jenga available. It was a wonderful afternoon of eating, drinking, and walks around their vineyards. My coworker said she has attended a wedding and a birthday party here. This is a great venue for a special event. It's not as large as Concannon or Wente. It's rustic and charming. I'm not a wine drinker, so I can't comment on the quality of their wines.
