The hubby first experienced Shane's Rib Shack catered at work and was pleasantly surprised by the food. We put it on our to visit list, and today was the day we finally visited. What initially brought us in this day was that we saw their anniversary special advertised, the $5 Big Dad Special (a hard to beat deal, and side note, happy 22 years to Shane's Rib Shack!). There were no substitutions allowed, and since we wanted their delicious sides, we opted for their pork plate with fried okra and potato salad ($10). This plate was large enough for the two of us to share, and we happily did. Just as the first time the hubby had their catered BBQ, in-house did not disappoint either. Everything was delicious! Their ranch sauce was on point for the fried okra, too. Sweet tea was as desired, and the peach cobbler is perhaps the best peach cobbler we've enjoyed to date. Service was friendly, the facility was clean, and there's dog friendly patio seating available as well. Great first visit, and we see more Shane's Rib Shack in our futures. read more

Yes, it's a chain but the food was really good. After too many beers and not enough food at the nearby beer bar, I needed to get something to eat and spend a bit of time filtering the alcohol from my blood before doing any serious driving. Shane's hit the spot. I chose the pulled pork and it was a good portion. Quite moist and plenty of it, I did have to put a bit of the "original" sauce on their to get the real meat flavor out of it. With that, it was great. For sides, the cole slaw was great. Crisp and not wet with mayo, there were a few bigger pieces of cabbage. This isn't fine chopped slaw and it isn't thin floss. There's some bit to this. The green beans had a great flavor but were beyond mushy. No crispness to them at all, I think perhaps these had been cooked/heated some time earlier in the day. this place is NOT GOOD!! chicken wings are huge and very under cooked, very nasty! ribs do not even taste like ribs, very nasty! green beans taste like they poured it out the can into water and then serve it to people, very nasty! pulled chicken do not taste like real chicken and very bland, very nasty!! i will never eat at this place again in my life! i give this place 0.5, the .5 is b/c of the texas toast. the only thing that had any kind of realness! Wowowow. Smoked wings are crazy good. Big wings lots of meat. All the food is exceptional. Workers are friendly and have urgency to please their customers. Nice surroundings, and clean restrooms. Owner is an amazing family man and he spends lots of time there. read more

Quintessential modern BBQ joint. Nice atmosphere, friendly and efficient service at the counter with follow up at the table makes for a nice dining experience. Indoor and patio seating is nice. Smoked pork was above average, though I like a little more smoke flavor. Slaw was great. Baked beans looked promising but fell flat, kind of a watered down flavor. Went to Shane's Rib Shack for lunch today and we all had a great meal. The counter staff is very helpful. It was our first time dining in a Shane's and we had some questions. We ordered quite a variety of bbq, which was brought to our table by friendly staff upon responding when they called out my name. My ribs and smoked wings were awesome as were my sides of beans and fried okra. My hubby got ribs, pulled (chopped pork) and chicken tenders and potato salad. The tenders were probably our least favorite item. Just kind of blah. My aunt enjoyed here chopped pork sandwich with slaw on the side and fries. Place is clean, friendly, prompt with HOT food and the food tastes great and generous portion sizes. All this at a reasonable price! We will be back. Nice to have a local BBQ joint to enjoy when too lazy to cook. read more

First off the service was great. The manager Ken knew it was our first time and ran us through their menu and popular dishes. His recommendations were spot on! The smoked brisket sandwich was beyond amazing! Everything was reasonable priced, bbq tends to be expensive but this place was priced very well. The cowboy burger was really good especially with the fried onions they add to it. The restaurant was very clean and well lit, the staff were very friendly and the food came out quickly. This was a squared away restaurant. Everything had a place and everything was in it. I went with the Combo meal Ribs, chicken fingers, and pork. It comes with two sides and drink. I went with the green beans and coleslaw. They had several choices for sauce, I tried the honey (crowd favorite) and the hot spicy (not a burner). The workers all so nice and they wore shirts that supports Military. This place really shows Military love with a nice discount. I'll stop by again next time I'm in town. read more

We went here tonight for my niece's birthday party per her request and took up the whole patio. I did not expect to get such wonderful service from a counter order restaurant. Ribs and BBQ in general is very personal and what you like I may not. But this was a good experience. The only possible improvement I could see would be to offer different BBQ sauces. We have pulled pork ribs and wings and they were all delicious read more

We come here often, and feel the rib portions have gotten smaller and smaller. Either they are small or you get the ends of the ribs( which has no meat and the meat is hard or burnt.......and is hard to chew). Shane's use to be my favorite Rib house but the last several times I've become less supportive of this chain. read more

We stopped by for lunch and my wife got their pulled pork sandwich, which was quite decent for a chain. The side of slaw also had a good flavor as did her brunswick stew. I wasn't in a BBQ mood, so I got the Cowboy burger (without the BBQ sauce) and it was quite tasty. The side of fries were fresh and crispy. The setting is pretty good although they're a bit heavy-handed with all the signage, which makes it tad less welcoming. I do like the menu variety which can be handy if you've a party of diners that are not all in a mood for just BBQ. read more

I hate saying this. I had a bad meal at Shanes. My barbecue chicken salad was bad. The chicken breast was tough, And the chopped romaine lettuce chunks were so big it was a chore to try to eat them. I tried for 10 minutes and gave up. Left 2/3 of the salad in the garbage. You can do better, you have before. Please read this and improve your salad. Next time I'll stick with a baked potato with pork barbecue, you just can't mess that up read more

These wings were amazing! I'd forgotten how good this place was considering the last time I visited here was approximately 5 years ago. My friend was curious about the place so we decided to try it out. It was as if I was experiencing their food for the first time! The wings were amazingly sauced and seasoned. You could bite into one and the meat would slip off the bone! The fries were crispy and fresh! My friend ordered a chicken plate (I think..?) and it looked delicious. I'd highly recommend trying out different sauces for the wings. My personal favorite is the Spicy BBQ which has a vary small kick to it, but loads of flavor. We didn't plan on eating here but the restaurant we we wanted to try had an hour plus wait. We were hungry! We came in and were greeted by a pleasant and personable cashier who was helpful and efficient. I had a pork sandwich, cole slaw on the side. The service was pleasant and a team atmosphere as everyone was working together. The food was served relatively quickly, less than 10 minutes, and there was a decent crowd with a steady stream of folk. The pork was flavorful and the sandwich was delicious. Took a while to find this place, but well worth the effort! From the reviews, tried sampler plate. Ribs moist and fall of the bone! Chopped pork was good, but sample size to small. Fried chicken tenders were fantastic! Friendly, warm atmosphere, for self service BBQ restaurant....only two issue to keep from 5 stars: 1) No BBQ in their beans? 2) Carolina BBQ sauce is mustard based...from North Carolina and prefer vinegar based! I would like to preface that I love Shane's and have been a frequent patron there for a while. However, I feel recently the quality has gone down on certain items. Whenever I order the cowboy burger or any burger anymore there's almost always a layer of burnt charcoal on one side of the burger. I'm not sure if they need to clean their grill or something but it makes the burger almost inedible sometimes. The chicken wings breading usually seems overdone and very hard and crunchy as well these days. Both these items used to be amazing so I'm not sure what happened. I enjoy and wish the best for Shane's, but I am posting this in hopes that management will see this and figure out what's going on. When I'm paying for food I don't like rolling the dice on whether the food is edible, and when I get food delivered it's not like I can send it back. I will be taking a break from Shane's until they get their consistency back up to par. read more

First visit to a Shane's. I've never even heard of it until I was in town for work. The quality, service, and prices were fantastic. I ordered the Sampler plate which came with Ribs, Chicken Tenders, and a choice of pulled pork or chicken (I went with pork). It came with the choice of 2 sides. I went with mac n cheese and baked beans. Everything tasted great, top to bottom. The sauces they have there were also great. I tried 3 of them. I really liked the spicy sauce and the mustard one. I'd really like to try their wings. I have a feeling everything there tastes good. If I lived around here, this would be my "go to" place for a bite. read more

The food is good, but we've had some really awful service at this location. The girls working the front don't pay much attention to customers and have quite a bit of attitude. I once had to wait for the two girls to finish having a conversation about a picture their friend had sent them while looking at it on their phones before I could place my order. When we sat down, the girl kept bringing us other people's food and would roll her eyes at us when we told her that she brought us someone else's order. Tried Shane's for the first time this past week when rain washed out our cookout plans. I was pretty pleased. Its pretty basic BBQ, the sauces are pretty spicy, but it's the price that has me giving it 4 stars. For the price the quality was good and the portions were ample, you won't leave hungry. Even the kids' meals were good ($4.99). The server taking our order was really knowledgeable and answered about 20 questions I had. The also have Brunswick Stew which was great. Quick style service, order at the front and they will bring you your food when ready, in less than 10 minutes at dinner time. read more

Yum! Highly recommend.. very friendly staff.... I ordered the brisket. Delicious! Only 1 drawback that is not the fault of the restaurant. Pouring rain, I'm in a wheelchair. Got in very wet process. We decided to try this place last night. Had gotten tired of the places in eb. Called in our order. 3 meals with extra sides and costed us 44$. The servings were huge. None of us could finish it all.
