When she told me the price (I think it was $120 or something close to that?), I was kinda incredulous. Why the sky-high price tag? It doesn't take an advanced degree in economics to know that $120 is unreasonable for that service. I know that there are always hidden expenses (space, cost of materials, workplace hazards, customers that cancel, etc.) But come on. Unless you are using 24K gold powder in that peroxide, or you had to go into debt through an intensive advanced degree program to perform that service, that just makes no sense at all. But I digress. Truth is, if there was another groupon offered for a $25 or $30 haircut, I would go again--as long as I had that coupon!

But then I had to change my appointment, as something came up and when I called to rebook, it still took 3 weeks to get in. I liked the deep conditioning treatment, but I was surprised when she left me leaned back into the sink without offering me a magazine or tea or anything while we waited, she just walked out, leaving me alone, staring at fluorescent lights. Since Kathy works alone, she took two phone calls during my cut, which was rather distracting. She seemed to finish the cut in record time, using one pair of scissors for my long hair with layers. My bangs were still hitting below my eyebrows, so I asked her to cut them shorter. If she's going to err, though, that's the way to go. But then I got home and found large strands hanging out of my bangs that she'd missed completely. I feel she was rushed to squeeze in too many clients per day - there was one customer per hour on the schedule. The whole environment is lacking a little. I would definitely recommend offering some some tea and bringing in some plants and lamps and turning off the overhead lights. Ooh, and music would be nice. No use in bringing in new customers with Groupon if you don't make a good impression.

I began seeing her for gel nails (not gel polish) when not too many were doing them at the time. A few years ago, we were discussing my nails and I mentioned I liked how fiberglass looked and felt. She does this too, so we switched. My daughter now sees her for her nails. We have appointments every 2 weeks or so. Depends on our schedules, Donie's and ours. Groupon buyers beware!…read more As a business owner, should you choose to offer a Groupon for your services, there should certainly be a limit on the number of Groupons you allow to be sold based on your ability to complete the services. This business owner, unfortunately, oversold their Groupons. I tried scheduling my mani-pedi a week prior to my Groupon expiring by calling the salon. I received a voicemail message asking me to go to the website to schedule online. Online I went! They were booked two weeks out. So, I scheduled the first available (which happened to be past my Groupon's expiration date). I called again a couple of days before my appointment to confirm that my full Groupon would be honored, I got the voicemail again - TWICE! Then I received a curt text stating that if my Groupon was expired, they would only offer the monetary value. I explained the scheduling situation and the owner's poor excuse basically was: -There are only two of us here and we cannot keep up with demand. -You had three months to schedule your mani-pedi, you should have scheduled it at least a month in advance. Um, who schedules mani-pedis a month in advance? NO ONE! This is bad customer service at its worst. Luckily, Groupon is letting me do a trade-in because I certainly didn't want to spend any additional dollars at this place.

I prefer it to waxing because I always get breakouts from wax and find that threading is a lot more precise. Just be prepared for a little bit of pain (on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say it's a 3 tops) and some participation (you'll have to hold your forehead and eyelid at points to make your brow taut). Nahid will greet you warmly, take a look at your brows, ask what you generally like (thicker or thinner brows, higher or lower arches), and then get to work. She uses rosewater to soothe the skin as she works and then - to top it off - finishes your appointment with a calming moisturizer by Eminence (love that product line!) that she applies with a mini-massage. It's easy to schedule with her via phone or text. And, she only charges $15 for brows. One tip: For your first visit, give yourself a few extra minutes to find your way to the spa space where she is located within the Gallery of Salons maze.

My cut is not blended, all parts of my hair are uneven. She cut off my fullness, volume, and shape. Lost the integrity of my hair. She is not knowledgeable in any way shape or form on any beauty services but claims she has been in this industry for 15 years. It's unfortunate. Also requested lash extensions, DO NOT get lash extensions done with her either. She claims that is her specialty but I ended up needing to go to the ER and getting them professionally removed because it caused uncomfortabilty, redness, swelling, and stinging due to misplacement. She placed them on my EYELIDS which is not proper placement for lash extensions. Very poorly done and rushed. She also doesn't offer removal so I'm praying this saves you from a tragic experience getting beauty services done by this individual. I've attached a photo of the stylist herself calling out that other clients have had an unpleasant experience with her lashing. The way she handled these situations was not in a professional manner causing loss of trust in her and loss of potential clientele. I then received a confirmation text regarding the appointment. On appointment day I got there and I easily parked and walked in. Because this is also a nail salon you can smell the nail polish and other chemicals but that doesn't bother me. I was greeted happily by a nice woman and asked how she could help me. I told her I had an appointment with Stephanie and she kindly told me to sit and wait in their seating section. Shortly after sitting I met with Stephanie who is very friendly and helpful with hair questions. After discussing what I wanted to do she took me back to another room to wash and condition my hair. After that we walked back to her chair. Then she double checked with me on what I wanted and gave me a haircut and blow-dry and added product to my curls. It looked so good. After that I paid digitally and then left happy. I have since been back to see Stephanie several times for trims to maintain my length. I usually have her give me a dry cut so I am in and out of the salon quickly. She always does a good job and I will continue to go to this salon in the future as long as she is there.
