I came across the Shampa's booth at the Los Altos wine and art festival (7/13/19). I was interested in the small pecan pie but it wasn't clear there were any left. Haruwn, the owner, gave me a sample of his strawberry lemon tart pie. JUST STOP OMG what are these, crack cakes?? They are to die for. Haruwn went through every cooler and managed to find a medium pecan pie. Somehow I walked away with 4 small pies and now I blame Shampa's for my lack of self control while I eat all of these delicious pies the next couple of days :-) the owner is so nice, professional and friendly too - he told every customer thank you for supporting local businesses! read more

Bf and I happened to stumble upon this place while taking a stroll through the neighborhood. We decided to walk in to check it out and were immediately greeted by the super friendly owner. He gave us a run down on all the different types of yummy looking pies and advised us on a sampler box which we couldn't resist. These were our choices: lemon cress, chocolate cream, walnut, sweet potato, blueberry, and apple cobbler. All of them are fantastic, and my personal favorites were the chocolate cream and the sweet potato. Honestly, I don't really take the time to write yelp reviews but I just felt compelled to do so for Shampa's Pies because the owner was just such a genuine friendly guy and you can feel he is passionate with what he does which you can also taste in the pies. EXCELLENT PIES!!! I got a sampler pack with: Apple, chocolate, lemon chess, walnut, pecan, pumpkin and sweet potato. They were ALL amazing! I kind of expected them to be good, but dang, they were ridiculously delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and not too overly sweet. Top notch quality. The owner Haruwn was so nice, and easy to talk to. My husband bought the berry pie at the Burlingame farmers market. The first one he bought to give to my parents as a gift. I never asked them how it was. Go forward 2 weeks and we are having them over for dinner. So my husbands bought another berry pie. It was HORRIBLE. When I asked my parents how there pie was they said it was also TERRIBLE. I discovered Shampa's pies from a friend. I checked out the location and realized it wasn't far from me. I went by, met the owner (Mr Wesley - a wonderful spirit) and ordered 4 pies. Two for me and two for neighbors. His prices are reasonable and his pies are delicious. Tonight I couldn't wait to take a slice of the 2-peach and nectarine cobbler/pie. It is a combination of a pie crust with a cobbler topping like my grandmother's. If it weren't so late I'd have another piece. Crust is light and fluffy. The inside flavor of the fruit was unbelievably delicious. Moist, sweet but not too sweet, well balanced with a depth that made me want more. The large (8") lemon pie was tasty, but it wasn't so great that I'd spend $25 for it again. Also, the pies they reserve for taste tests are not handled hygienically. They are stacked up in a box, un-refrigerated, and the person who helped me was digging into it with a taste spoon, getting his gloved hands in them. The gloves were the same ones he had on when he helped the person before me, and he handled cash. They are new, so I'm hoping they straighten their sampling situation out, and revisit the pricing of the pies. read more

Shampa's is right next door to my laundromat, and now that I've tried the pies, I'm doomed. They kindly let me sample bites of lemon chess pie, blackberry cobbler, and sweet potato pie before I decided to go with pecan. The different flavors are all delicious. The place smells amazing. If they could turn that smell into a milkshake, I would totally drink it. It's an open kitchen, so you can watch them assembling pies and cobblers of all sorts. The folks who work there are friendly and helpful and obviously enjoy their work. The owner clearly loves what he does and is delighted to greet customers. They've been selling at farmers' markets for several years and just opened the storefront last November. In conclusion: SUUUUUGAAAAARRRR two thumbs up would snarf again. read more

We stopped by for the first time today and had a wonderful experience! The owner was very friendly and gave us some terrific pie suggestions for an assortment box. This is the real deal! The guy that works here is super cool and really nice, and I would love to go back here. I recommended this place to few of my friends and they all love it too. They use real ingredients, no chemical or artificial stuff, and it just tastes unbelievable good. My favorite is the lemon merengue pie and the sweet-potato pie. Passing by the farmers market in San Carlos, I was a magnet to their pie stand, and couldn't resist their mini lemon chess pie. No idea of the quality or taste, I bought only one, not to mention I thought that for such a tiny pie, it was a bit pricey at $5 bucks, but got it anyway. Wow wow and wow! I ran into the owner Haruwn the other day, and I made a special request for a friend - Coconut Cream Pie. I was given every option, gluten free, sugar free, regular, big chunks of coconut or little, whipped cream or meringue. I went the original --Regular Coconut Cream Pie with whipped cream. It was absolutely marvelous. I think I have a new favorite. I love the owner, the location, and the pies. What a pastry chef we've got here in Pacifica. The taste of the pie we got was nothing special but it was still good pie we enjoyed. However to be honest the prices are ridiculous, the size and prices don't match up and if the pies were something really special and worth it maybe but no. The people who worked there were friendly and professional but I don't know what the target market is that they are trying to get with the prices and product. Ridiculously priced small pies with nothing special to offer. My wife picked one up and paid $25, yes $25 USD dollars for a 7 inch apple pie with more unflaky crust than apple filling. I don't know who Haruwn Wesley is but he is certainly ripping people off with these pie prices. If you want a good Pie get Duartes of Pescadero and get your money worth. You can get Duartes' pies frozen in many supermarkets around the bay area. If the pies had something special about them, like a unique crust or unusual filling they might be worth the price, but there is nothing unique and what you get is certainly not worth it. If you live in Pacifica, Mazzetti's is far beyond and less money. I guess these pies are meant for super-rich millennials or something? The knuckleheads on here giving this place a five star have no idea what five star is, and that goes with many of the reviews on this site that are five star. read more

Decided to give this place a try. We picked up a few 4 inch pies and one 5 inch, so we could try the different flavors. They were all amazing. We tried the lemon, the sweet potato, the pecan and the walnut. They tasted fresh and delicious. I hope this place stays in business. Delicious, organic pies. We bought three 5" pies - lemon, sweet potato and a peach cobbler. They were all so flavorful! The crust was amazing, perfect and on the sweet potato there seemed to be a hint of cinnamon in the crust. Totally yummy!! The owners were very nice - So great to see a new business in Pacifica.
