    Raw-PB bowl
    Mary T.

This establishment is always my go to on the way to classes and I always get the Raw-PB bowl and am usually always satisfied. This time, I ordered it with extra peanut butter for an additional amount and was not satisfied in the amount of peanut butter I received. The amount was similar to the original order without an extra addition of peanut butter. Next time, I will stray far from adding anything extra because of this experience. Overall, ShakeSmart is great for a quick grab and go before and after class and I love coming here!

When you want to get a drink or a protein shake it supposed to be nice and easy. All you need just get what you want and keep going with your routine. But this place left me thinking about the service they provide. It was awful. Not only they treat you like you are nothing, no greetings, not specifying what you want, but also, they'll laugh you out after all. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place, unless the owner could improve the customer service.

    Two Perfect Ten's!

I wondered why they named this one drink.."a perfect 10." It's a smoothie I've gotten here over and over again.....until my friend had one today and said " it's perfect!" out of the blue without even thinking about the name. Wait..out of the blue? This shake has blueberries. Get it ..blue..? I'm on a roll. She was hesitant on pb in a smoothie, but after Turbo Kickboxing at the arc, she was willing to try anything. After all, I'm a good convincer :) By the way "a perfect 10" is an amazing smoothie with fresh ingredients : milk, blueberries , bananas , vanilla protein powder and peanut butter. Yup. PB. ShakeSmart is ultra convenient since it is right by the the SDSU ARC gym entrance. It's an outdoor stand type of shop. They remodeled the look of their mini shop here a bit over the years and looks great. They serve mainly smoothies and Acai bowls. You can also build your own smoothie (you call the ingredients). Students work the stands and are typically usually pretty friendly and helpful. No problemos yet. My only gripes is the pricing. It's a bit on the pricey side for these bad boys. I got two small ls and they were 11 something. And ..my other "complaint" is their straws for the small cup. The straws are humungo long ... for that size cup. Minor details but yes had to say! Oh yes, parking for non students will not be fun. I am not encouraging it but if it's dead line , you can quickly park in the semi circle right by the stand. Yes usually for media , drop offs or buses. Otherwise , pay 25 cents for 15 minutes in the lot of the gym. Cheers !

Pretty decent spot for an acai bowl near SDSU. Price is better than Everbowl (although they are consistently a little smaller), and it's right next to the gym which is convenient. Quality of the Acai is above average too, tastes a lot like Açaí roots sorbet.

One of the best places to get healthy smoothies and snacks! The booth's location is very convenient too, right outside the Aztec Recreation Center (ARC). So if you're looking for a pre/post workout smoothie, you can grab one here. I always opt for their 'Make It Your Way' option and choose my own ingredients, rather than ordering an existing item from the menu. I usually get a smoothie made with Almond Milk, Whey Protein Powder, Strawberries, and Bananas. It's always delicious! Their employees are very friendly and efficient. I had my drink within a few minutes. Only downside is parking, you either have to have a parking permit for the structure nearby or find a spot in the residential area and walk over to the booth.

This is a great place to go after a work out or on a hot day. I always get the peanut and banana smoothie. Great protein shakes all around.

From the moment I walked in, two people greeted me right away and made the shop feel super welcoming. The space itself is really cute, with a relaxed vibe and a few tables where people were working on laptops. I actually don't drink coffee (I'm caffeine sensitive haha), so I told the barista I had no idea what to pick for my husband. They have really well-stocked shelves with beans roasted in house, and you can tell they genuinely take pride in what they do. The packaging is beautiful, and each bag has a card explaining the flavor notes and where the beans come from. After I mentioned a few coffees my husband has liked before, the barista recommended the Dark Drop beans. He was so kind, patient, and helpful -- especially to someone completely clueless about coffee. While I was there, he also made me an oat milk matcha with honey, and it was really good. Smooth and creamy. My husband had been gone for work for a month, so I wanted to surprise him with fresh beans when he got home. He absolutely loved them and said the espresso was balanced, bold, and incredibly fresh. We'll definitely be back to try more beans, and I'll absolutely be returning for another matcha. Thanks again for the great customer service and welcoming atmosphere!

The decor is fun and takes me back to my childhood with the skateboarding decks and overall vibe. The only reason for 4 stars is the parking situation around the area; it's scarce at times, so it usually involves a walk.
