First off, CASH ONLY!!! But it's worth going to your nearest atm I promise. Small but very clean space. The people are always welcoming and willing to answer any questions you might have. I love their: tostilocos, churros, fresas con crema, agua de limon y naranja. I've taken coworkers and they have liked their escamocha and turkey sandwiches.

Bad Customer service. I called around 6:32pm to confirm they were going to be open and they did not answer. I told them I had called them and they say they don't answer their phone after 6:30pm. I arrived at 6:45pm and they said they were closed, when google shows they closed at 6:55pm. Mal servicio al cliente. This is my go to Mexican fruit bar in City Heights as I have tried their chamango, frescas con crema (strawberries w/ cream) & their fruit salad with limon, tajin and chamoy. Prices are now $5 & up for most items. Only CON about this place is parking, if you live around the area, walking is probably the best option. Other than that, give this fabulous fruit bar a try, you won't regret it! read more

This spot is a must go! Heads up though they're cash only but they have an ATM. Escamochas and chicken sandwiches are the best ! Parking isn't the best but not many places in City Heights have great parking. Been coming here for years and will probably be coming for more. Staff and owner are always very courteous and friendly. read more

Had their tostilocos w/ everything & fresas con cream. Sososososo good! I can't believe how big the tostilocos were. The prices weren't all that bad, a little more than I expected but Im so used to buying tostilocos in mexico or from a cart. I didn't like the tostilocos much, there was just too much of everything except chips lol. But everyone else in my house loved them. read more

Affordable prices! Tostilocos are only $5, and it comes with plenty of cucumbers and jicama. Waiting time is totally worth it! =D Cash only. Parts of the menu are in Spanish so if you don't understand what something is, make sure to ask. Parking is REALLY limited and the parking lot is also compact. read more

This little fruit bar is a hole in the wall, but so good! They also have sandwiches, I tried the chicken sandwich and it was quite tasty it was on a Bollio roll with cheese, jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, it came with a side of salsa. The sandwich was 5 bucks, a nice change from Subway. I also tried their smoothies, the Tropical smoothie was fantastic. I have to go back to try their parfaits and fruit bowls but so far, I am liking this little fruit bar. read more

So i happen to stumble on this place because my friend lives near this place, it was delish. My friend got the escamocha and we shared it. Its a bunch of fruit with condensed milk topped with nuts and coconut i believe. It really hit the sweet spot. read more

It is that good. The second time we went, my friends and I just all ordered the earl grey matcha because we didn't want to share. The store is small so sometimes if the line is long, you have to wait outside. It goes by somewhat quickly. There is seating in the back that looks really nice. There were desserts. We got their sesame cake, it was fine. I would definitely put this place as somewhere to visit. There is street-side parking. If you get lucky, someone already paid for the parking meter.

They genuinely cared about the feedback and made me feel heard this says a lot about a business. Customer service is everything to me & they completely turned my experience around!! I've been back since and this place continues to be one of my favorite matcha spots in SD! I brought two of my closest friends from out of town to try it and both approved! This time around I was greeted as soon as I walked in and that made all the difference. I decided to branch out and try two new flavors. I got the Blueberry 30 & Pistachio 54. Both were AMAZING and full of flavor. Blueberry was definitely my favorite. I'd give them both a 5/5 ! Huge shoutout to Justin, the manager, for being beyond kind and so welcoming. He made the experience even better. Safe to say they've earned my 5 stars. Not only are the drinks incredible, but it's clear they truly care about their customers and the experience they provide. I'll definitely be back probably sooner than I should be.

We walked in around 12:40 without a reservation. They close at 2:30, but we were still seated pretty quickly. Every employee we interacted with was genuinely friendly. The service never felt rushed even though we came close to close. I also had no idea we walked in during their "US Hour" from 12:00 to 2:30, so that ended up being a nice surprise. They offer $7 draft beers, $9 wine, $10 mimosas, plus a handful of bites for $9. We started with the Fried Calamari Tentacles from the US Hour menu. They're served with Japanese mayo, although it tasted like there was some citrus mixed in because it had a nice tangy kick. Whatever it was, it worked really well with the crispy calamari. To drink, I ordered the Yuzu Matcha Mimosa. It had a really vibrant green color that almost reminded me of green juice. I actually enjoyed it. The matcha flavor came through without getting lost. My friend wasn't the biggest fan because they thought it leaned a little too bitter, so I think this one depends on how much you already enjoy matcha. For my entree, I ordered the Duck and Waffles ($24), which comes with crispy duck confit, a waffle, passionfruit guava sauce, and chili crunch. This was easily the highlight of the meal. The duck was cooked perfectly. It was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just enough to let the meat shine. I also appreciated that the chili crunch actually had some heat instead of just being there for texture. The waffle was light and fluffy. I'm a sucker for sweet and savory combinations, so the powdered sugar paired with the rich duck was enough to win me over. The passionfruit guava sauce was the only part I wasn't completely sold on. It wasn't bad by any means. I just think it's one of those flavors that comes down to personal preference. This ended up being one of those meals that reminded me why I keep a running list of places I want to try. Great food. Great service. A fun happy hour that I accidentally stumbled into. My only wish is that parking in North Park was a little easier, but that's just part of the neighborhood. I'd definitely come back.

Totally recommend. Wife ordered the Mushroom Chazuke. Mix of seasonal mushrooms. She liked it a lot. Tastes some of the mushrooms. Earthy but not overbearingly so. The wild rice and poached egg made for a pretty good mix. Other daughter got the Curry Hamburg. She likes her curry, especially Japanese curry. While she did not get transported to Tokyo she did give it a thumbs up. This place is pretty busy and I was fairly impressed with the attentiveness of our waitress. Waters kept full which was handy as it was a bit hot and my car was a good walk away. Would like to visit again and try other menu items.

This has always been my go to fruit bar in City Heights. I always get the Strawberries and Cream and they are amazing! They have the best fruit and it is always so fresh. They have a variety of foods to choose from, from Ice-Cream's to Sandwiches and Tortas, to fruit salads and more! The portions are great and they are well served! Not only is the food great, but so is their customer service! They are always very kind and make sure you get the best service possible, making sure your satisfied with your order every time. This place is COVID friendly, as the employees always wear masks and gloves and the place is very clean which is great! I recommend the Strawberries and Cream and the Escamochas. My family and I have been coming here for years, and they never disappoint! Definitely give this place a try, you won't regret it!! read more

This place never disappoints! Although parking is limited and their wait times can be a bit long at times, it is beyond worth it! They make up for those down sides with their delicious food and great service. Everything I've ever had from here I have absolutely loved. My favorites are the Torta de Milanesa and the freshly squeezed orange juice. Definitely a customer for life! read more
