- street parking which we found easily on a late saturday afternoon - cozy corner shop with seating, some big tables for studying/working, and a free library corner - i thought this was such a cute touch! - super kind staff! we misunderstood the passion fruit tea and thought it came with lemonade (not either tea or lemonade) so he generously added some which definitely upgraded the taste - dubai chocolate latte: i was expecting a pistachio taste along with the chocolate but this just tasted like a solid mocha. still yummy! i think that the espresso was still strong

Wonderful discovery. I was in the area and check Yelp for coffee and the closest to me was Torque but I could not find parking and after driving around got tired and University Coffee popped up. Very nice surprise in a pretty sketchy and semi abandoned area. Loved the mural outside with these giant coffee beans and the whole vibe corner building white and pristine. Hopefully more business will resurface like this one. Thus is a gem and the people managing the coffee shop are adorable and super friendly, all smiles. You will feel very comfortable. I ordered a Cortado and a ham and cheese croissant. Coffee so amazing taste. I like the mid century style furniture and how airy is the space. And, yes, seating next to Madonna, Whitney and Britney was a total plus (even if they were just plastered on the wall). There is a variety of seating, from tables for 4 to couches with mini table incorporated to a sofa. That jungle green color makes the space cozy and I can envision nights with intimate music concerts or using the space for other cultural activities. I am glad I stopped by and will be back.

University Coffee recently open up. I had a cortado with whole milk for $4.50. The cortado was quite good. It was smooth and rich up front with a touch of sourness towards the end, but not much. I liked it, but I was just bummed that it was not served in a traditional Gibraltar glass, but the young lady did state, they are coming soon. In addition to a variety of espresso based beverages, they also offer teas, and locally made breakfast burritos, toasted bagels, pastries, and acia bowls. They offer plenty of comfortable inside seating. The service is super friendly and welcoming. It's a locally owned small business.

Quiet new little spot on the Corner of University and Wilson. Old building, but new style and decor inside. The owner was super cool and they have all your caffeine desires. They also have pastries and other bites to eat. I like it cuz it's not known by the hipsters yet so it's still pretty chill and plenty of places to chill and kick it with your homies and talk politics relationships or whatever. Has plenty of tables and comfy chairs.

I love their coffee, you can taste the espresso, I tried their chai before and it's so creamy and their jalapeño and cheese croissants are so good and crispy so far my favorite drink is the Dubai chocolate latte the vibe of the shop is so comfy too and the workers are so sweet and nice and attentive which makes it even better!

University Coffee opened a few weeks ago and I just had a chance to visit. First, it's on University Avenue and in an area that's currently a tad rough. I would not want to walk around this area of mostly old, dilapidated buildings and businesses, which would be considered 'low rent,' colloquially speaking. Was glad to get parking out front. Was cordially greeted by middle eastern siblings team Alan and Angela, both really nice and helpful. This cafe was clean and looked to have been resurfaced and modernized space with concrete floor and a minimalist decor extracting styles from cool musicians depicting cool hip vibes. The collage of music artists on the wall behind the faux leather couch exhibits that style. The neighborhood is not an area I would frequent, as I am security conscious as a single white female driving a high end vehicle with a white fancy Fendi furbaby. With cafes like this, maybe a domino effect will occur; more higher end businesses opening up thereby gentrification happens and the roughness of the surroundings improves. This immediate area desperately needed a cool cafe and if you're in the area, stop inside and try University Coffee. The menu of mostly coffees, teas and some limited baked goods. There was the last croissant but was filled with cheese and ham, since I Don't eat anything with pork so I passed on it. Wish there was more options for baked goods :( Lucky me, the off menu special of the day: Dubai Chocolate Latte with oat milk sounded perfect, so I ordered it iced. While the drink wasn't visually spectacular, it did not taste overly sweet and not espresso forté, just tasted Dubai chocolate decadent and worthy of my recommendation.

I really wanted to give this place a 5! It's cozy, the staff is super friendly, and I loved the little "free library" where you can pick up or drop off books. They have lots of coffee options and some pastries. I ordered a latte and a bagel with cream cheese--the bagel itself was fresh and delicious, but it was served in a brown paper bag with the cream cheese on the side and no plate provided. It was honestly really inconvenient and messy trying to spread the cream cheese without a proper plate. On top of that, they didn't have "for here" cups for the coffee either, which also took away from the experience. Those details made the visit feel incomplete, so I'd give it about a 3.5/5.

1st time checking out university coffee. The ambiance was so chill. Perfect for relaxing, reading, etc. The food and coffee were great. My son tried a Pistachio muffin and I had a ham and cheese croissant that was delicious! I loved that they had a little free library too. We met Alan, (he owns the place with his sister) and had a little chat. They take credit cards Street parking

Tried out University Coffee which opened up just a block from where I live. It is on the border or North Park and City Heights. The coffee shop has a small, inviting ambiance and welcoming staff. I got a Passion Peach Tea and my GF got the Pistachio White Chocolate Iced Latte. We both enjoyed our drinks and will definitely be back for more!

The perfect cup of coffee! The owners are so kind and they really take pride in their work. I was excited to support a growing coffee shop but did not expect the bar to be raised so high! Im not a sweet drinks person and the pumpkin chai latte was exactly what I wanted. Warm, cozy, aromatic and balanced. Can't wait to try other seasonal drinks. Thank you!

Walked in right at 3pm. They could have turned us away, but we were greeted with kindness and welcomed in. This was our first time trying University Coffee and it is absolutely delicious. The orange blossom latte is a refreshing fall flavor and the espresso had a freshly brewed taste. Will definitely be making this place a regular stop. Thank you for amazing customer service and even better coffee

University Coffee is a gem on University Ave! It's such a vibe. Good music, picture worthy decor and peaceful inside. It was much needed in this area specifically. Alan & Anjela (hopefully I spelled right) are so kind, they go above and beyond. I'm making my way through the menu trying everything and I have no complaints, just favorites. I love the early grey coffee, and the Red Bull Italian soda if I'm not feeling a coffee.

My first visit was the double pandan latte and the chance's Vietnamese, I thought the chance's vietnamese was super good and the cold foam hit the spot. My next visit was the Pho' Cold Brew, I would have to say that this is up there as my top 5 places for cold brews. If you want to try something different, I suggest this one for sure. Plenty of seating indoor/outdoors, photo booth for photos (small fee), and pet friendly to the max. Service was quick and easy, super friendly and will make you want to return. The Pho Cold Brew, on the other hand, was a bit of a miss for me. It was definitely interesting and I could taste the coffee, but I can't say I loved it. It also didn't really hit on the caffeine side, though that might just be me building up a higher tolerance lately. What stood out more than the drinks was the vibe. They had a DJ playing music, which made it feel more like a hangout spot than just a coffee run. Another plus: very dog-friendly and clearly a pro-dog coffee shop. Overall, a decent place to chill and try some creative menu items. I've had stronger coffee elsewhere, but this place might be worth checking out if one's never been.

My only beef is the small size, as it's really hard not to down the drink in the span of five minutes or less. They also have some really cool assorted pastries if you get there in time. High quality and unique options with fun flavors. The shop is relatively small with seating in and outside. There are also records for sale and they have a really cool curated selection. The staff is also really cool, sweet and quick to make drinks.

This neighborhood is filled with all kind of coffee/tea places, however Fuzz Coffee was a bit difficult to find as they didn't have much signage indicating their presence. A small sidewalk sign that said 'Coffee & Records' along with a label on the front window was the extent of the identification. Parking was either curbside, or you could pay for a space in a lot just a bit up the street which was what I did. The inside had limited seating consisting of a countertop along the front window and a bench with some stools that surrounded very small round tables. A merchandise rack was on the right wall when you walked in. A collection of vinyl records was in the back left corner. The menu board was posted on the wall to the right of the service counter. The choice of beverages was around a dozen, but a seasonal menu added a few more items. I ordered an Iced Latte with whole milk. The addition of Honey Cinnamon incurred a one dollar surcharge. The barista quickly prepared my drink as I was nearly the last customer for the day. I didn't taste much honey cinnamon flavor so that topping wasn't really worth it. The small tables were a bit awkward as they were elevated quite a bit higher than the stool/bench. The surface area could not have been larger than a vinyl record for comparison (see my photo). I gave a three star rating for my visit to Fuzz Coffee.
