The truffle burger and fries were great. Sad that they're no longer available. The banana pudding shake tastes like birthday cake. Usually this is a good location. Sometimes they make your food wrong.

Fast and friendly service from the employees. Great ambiance to chill and have a lunch with friends. I ordered through the app and unfortunately my fries tasted like they'd been sitting and should've been thrown out.

I went back to this location...an abundance of ketchup was there....you fixed the issue....You won back a loyal customer. Nice work.

Pretty good burger! Service was quick & friendly. The interior was clean and updated. Would come back to this location to eat again.

Well I'm finally done with the West Loop location. As you can see from the pictures I placed 2 orders over the app. 1) black truffle single w/truffle fries 2) double bacon cheeseburger w/fries One order was perfect while the other was missing the bacon (photo attached) I checked the receipt and surely they got that right. This is my 4th time visiting West Loop location and each time something is not as ordered and I will not return. If I want Shack Shake I will go to the Oak Lawn location after church going forward. RESPONSE TO ELLIE: Thank you so much, but this is too many times having incorrect orders from your West Loop location. It is appalling that your associates cannot get an order right. Back in September I wrote a review Margo responded and refunded me what I spent. I don't want anything from you all except for you to take this as a coaching moment and round up your workers and retrain them and add a double check to every order. It's not fair that customers stop by for take out and get home which for me is 23 minutes away only to find the order is not as expected. It's ridiculous they cannot get it right.

This was my first Shake Shack experience and I was very happy with how it went! Definitely lived up to the hype and I plan on coming back very soon. The price wasn't too crazy expensive either, especially when you compare it to the quality of food you're receiving. I just wish I tried the "Hot One's" menu...but I was too late! I appreciated this location and any place that "accidentally" gives extra fries is always going to get a 5/5 in my books, so thank you Shake Shack! Service was good and you can order your food on their kiosk/tablets so you don't even need to talk to anyone. Plenty of seats to eat their & chill vibes with TVs in the background. Thanks again and see you soon Shake Shack! Personal Review: 9.1/10

I can't speak for the service or ambiance since we ordered takeout. However, the food was really good. I always like having my fries with BBQ sauce, so I love that they offer BBQ fries. They had a BBQ seasoning on them, which wasn't too overwhelming. I am a baby with spices, so I had milk with it but most people wouldn't think it's spicy. They also offer different BBQ sauces with their BBQ fries (Carolina BBQ or Shake BBQ sauce). I got the Shake BBQ sauce and my boyfriend got the Carolina BBQ sauce. I thought the Shake BBQ sauce was good. I didn't even try to Carolina one because I hate mustard. My boyfriend said the Carolina BBQ sauce was good, but nothing special about it and it tasted like most Carolina BBQ sauces. As for the burgers, I really liked mine. I am weird about condiments, so I only had pickles on it. They were thick pickle slices (not the cheap super tiny ones from McDonald's). My boyfriend got the Carolina BBQ Burger with Fried Pickles and he said that was really good.

By far the worst Shake Shack I have ever been to. The staff is extremely rude. The wait time are extremely long and the place was empty. I got back to work after ordering and realized I was missing 2 burgers from my order. I came back and showed my receipt and the staff argued me that I was lying and had received everything. Just over all a horrible and experience. Not sure if I will ever be back. The place looked dirty and unkept as well.

I'm so frustrated and annoyed by this meal I could shed a tear. Literally been up since 7am moving across the state. I haven't eaten all day. Decided I would just quickly get some chicken bites and fries from shake shack and keep it moving as I've never had any issues with food quality in NYC/Jersey when I've eaten there. I'm going to assume they need to change their fryer oil because this entire meal was disgusting and inedible. The fries were very over cooked with a terrible aftertaste. The chicken bite were so greasy by the time I got the bottom was a layer of grease soaking up the bottom of the box. I couldn't even eat the rest of my meal, just threw it away. The dirty grease made everything taste disgusting. Now I'm lying in bed still hungry but also nauseous/sick from the food. I have no plans on coming to this location again. Truly a waste of $35, I'm so hurt.

I ordered the smoke shack burger, it was actually very delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly, it was very cheesy and had a lot of bacon. I decided to order the double, and I thought it had a lot of flavor, and was huge. It cost almost $11, unfortunately does not come with fries but it was delicious. I would order it again. I was definitely full after eating it. My fiancé tried the spicy chicken sandwich, that was almost $8 and I did not feel it was worth it honestly. He said it had good flavor, but the sandwich itself was kind of small. Pickup is quick through the app. Restaurant was clean and taking covid serious.

Shake Shack HITS!!!! Took me a while to come in.But now that I started I've been coming in more and more regularly.Burgers and shakes are FIRE!!!! They DEFINITELY beat many of their competitors in the area. All except ONE!!! And I really cant say which one that is because this review isn't about them.Shake Shack gets it DONE,though.Service is always quick and friendly. They are ALWAYS BUSY!!!!! TOTALLY giving them the THUMBS UP!!!!

Good location right next to the train station. My first time having shake shack. I know where have I been. As a Californian I have to say it. I like In N Out better. Shake shack is like in between Five Guys and In N Out on the burger spectrum. Five Guys represents that heavy backyard grill burger that'll send you into a food coma. In N Out gives you that lighter, simple, classic, aromatic and fresh vibe that hits the spot. Food (7/10): Truffle burger - looks delicious. Lots of competing flavors. Surprisingly enough a bit too heavy on the truffle oil. The temperature is something I noticed that I usually don't for burgers. It was too... Room temp. The sub temp didn't bring out the flavors and burger off the grill feel. The bun was also much softer than I expected like Hawaiian bread. Personal preference but it was too pastry soft for me. Chicken bites - tastes "healthier" with the white meat. Very similar to the Bare chicken nuggets you can get at Costco. Obviously better cooked and prepared. Used the honey mustard sauce which was pretty standard. Fries with cheese - very standard looking but well done. Surprised and impressed me the most. The fries look very unassuming like cafeteria fries. They are a bit crispy on the outside. It's the cheese. The cheese is like a Kraft's Mac n cheese. Maybe have the option to add some spice to the cheese like Dave's Hot Chicken. Service/ambience (7.5/10): Pretty good for a fast food spot. Staff is friendly. Like the other burger chains the establishment and bathrooms are well kept. This specific location has pretty good interior design with the classic Chicago warehouse vibe with high ceilings and sunlight.

Inside the store. A lot of seating and super clean!

I had the single cheeseburger and it lived up to the hype. I learned that the single burger is actually a double and the double is actually a triple. I was recommended to add an egg and bacon to the burger and I'm glad I did. Each bite was a glorious burst of flavor. The bacon is epic. Thick juicy slices. The cheeseburger was perfect. I didn't need additional condiments and that never happens for me. The fries were good too and came with a delicious aioli. For beverages, I loved my Arnold Palmer. I also tried a cocktail--the Long Island Iced Coffee. It was pretty strong. I added a shot of bourbon cream to it and that sweetened it up and made it perfect for me. Unfortunately, I didn't have room for dessert. Cute restaurant. Cozy inside. They have an outdoor patio as well. If you don't have a reservation, be prepared to wait. Excellent food. Excellent service. Jennifer took great care of me and made great suggestions. It's pricy but it's worth it.

My friend wanted to go to Au Cheval while we were both visiting Chicago, which is one of the most…read morepopular restaurants for tourists. I've heard the wait is insane, so it's recommended to make a reservation on Resy. Off the bat, I was already side-eyeing this process. I had to pay $2.49 per person to secure a reservation, which is crazy. This is not a deposit either, which I would have understood. I've just never encountered a restaurant that charges a fee to make a reservation. Upon arrival, we got seated immediately (which I would hope so, after paying to make a reservation). Our server collected our orders quickly and our food came out about 15-20 minutes later. CRISPY FRIES - 13.99 Charging $14 for a side of fries is wild enough, but topping it with a completely solid fried egg was baffling. I'm not sure what the culinary vision was. Are we supposed to mash it all together into some sort of hash brown situation, or awkwardly eat the fried egg on its own? The fries themselves were fine, nothing to write home about. However, I did enjoy the mornay sauce and garlic aioli that came on the side. SINGLE CHEESEBURGER - 17.99 +3.49 for egg Over $20 for a burger that doesn't come with sides? I was a little disappointed my burger came with a side of a knife instead. I thought the whole gimmick was having the knife strike straight down into the burger. Beyond that, the burger wasn't anything unique. The bun itself was dry and mid, not the soft and fluffy bun I had envisioned. Everything else was fine -- not bad, but certainly not great. While it wasn't a bad burger, I can't help but feel incredibly disappointed given the hype around Au Cheval burgers. My friend told me the way to "fully experience" Au Cheval is to get the cheeseburger plus both the egg and bacon add-ons, which our server also recommended. I did try a piece of my friend's bacon with my burger and it does add a depth of smoky sweetness. However, that becomes a 17.99 + 3.49 + 6.99 = 28.47 for a burger. That's insane. The add-ons themselves cost more than half of the burger. I'm not doing that to my wallet. Sorry, but this was a disappointing experience for me. I'd rather just go to Shake Shack, which at least comes with tasty and juicy burgers for 1/3 of the price.
