Came in here for just a shake. They were out of the Dubai chocolate shake by 8pm. Ordered at the kiosk and they ran out of numbered plaques. It wasn't tremendously busy but somehow there's a back log of customers waiting for their food at the tables and at takeout. I waited 15 mins for a shake when the restaurant was not full. Also the restaurant looked like it went through a tornado with fries, wrappers sauces on the floor. The bathroom was locked but overflowing with paper over the paper bin

Solid shake shack. Overall fast and efficient service. The ambience was pretty clean for the area. The food was good as expected from Shake shack. The restroom was a challenge, they told me to look for the code on the napkin box, but it was hard to get the numbers down (particularly since the napkin box was where people were sitting).

Came to Shake Shack at The Wharf with my girl. The wait was about 15 minutes, which felt long since it wasn't that busy--and no one was at the register or gave any updates while we stood there. That said, the food was definitely worth the wait and the price. Everything was fresh, hot, and honestly hit the spot. Only issue? I asked for no pickles on my burger and still got them--which wasn't a dealbreaker, but definitely annoying when you customize your order ahead of time. Overall, solid experience with a couple hiccups. I'd come back, but double check your order just in case.

Hard pass... if you're a tourist and you've never ever been to Shake Shack then maybe you can do it just to try it. But I generally wouldn't recommend it. I've heard great things about this infamous burger chain and I could not have been more disappointed. I ordered a cheeseburger with some fixins and it comes out looking like a flaccid cafeteria burger that you pay 8 dollars for. The patty was very dry and tasted like overcooked frozen low grade discounted beef. The bun was actually decent but it couldn't save this disappointment. Food: 2/10 Value: 3/10

As usual, Shake Shack doesn't disappoint. I ordered via their app for pickup and received my food not only on time, my food was still piping hot. Pickup was fuss free and easy. I waited for about 8mins for my food to be ready. Love the food, love the quick service. The seating area is big and is great for big groups. There are 2 self-service kiosks for quick ordering. I highly recommend that when the line is long.

Ordered a veggie burger and it was very good. Shakes were yummy too, creamy and not overly sweet. Decent and prompt service. Located on the Wharf, the whole area had a vibrant night life vibe on the weekend we popped in. Really enjoyed our time there.

Came through for the Dubai chocolate shake, stayed for the burger. Everything was delicious if not small for ~$10 / burger. Bathroom was horrific with standing water. Wait time for food was the longest of any location in DC.

First time visiting the Wharf and we made a quick stop to Shake Shack for some milkshakes. Ordered at the kiosk as soon as we entered. It was pretty busy so my lucky number was my order number (Yay). It was sort of a long wait for our milkshakes but, again it was crowded. Milkshakes were a nice sweet treat as we walk around the Wharf area. The milkshake was very good and crunchies were the best part. We definitely return when back in the area

If you're looking for a casual and satisfying meal near the waterfront (and didn't get a reservation at one of the upscale restaurants on the Wharf), you can't go wrong with Shake Shack. Most of the restaurants on the waterfront were fully booked and didn't have capacity for my party of five, so we were very grateful when we discovered the Shake Shack. Ordering was easy and convenient with the Shack app, which allowed us to skip the long line to place an order. We received our food within 20 minutes, which was impressive considering how busy the place was. Everything hit the spot - the burger was juicy and flavorful, and the strawberry shake was THICK and creamy. It was exactly what I needed after a long day of sightseeing. The restaurant had plenty of seating options, with two floors of indoor tables and some limited outdoor seating as well. We enjoyed our meal and felt like we got good value for our money. Shake Shack may not have been in our original travel plans, but it definitely came through.

Can't ever go wrong with shake shack! I always get the shack burger without the sauce and add bacon with all the fixings in addition to mayo and mustard. I also get it well done because I don't like pink burgers lol. The service is quick for the most part as it stays busy every time I visit this location. The staff is friendly and busy. This location has a great view of the wharf and the water front view just makes it better. They have self service machines, you can order ahead, or you can go to the counter. This location also serves beer and wine so that's a plus!

When I branch out, the other flavors are good, but this is my favorite. Service: slow AF. We pulled up last weekend and the line was out the door. Only one employee was working and she was pretty slow. It took about 25 minutes to get a couple scoops. Portions: it's very interesting how the pricing is set up between one flavor and two flavors. And what I found, is that the scoop sizes are really inconsistent. It makes sense that they would be slightly inconsistent, but I got two flavors and there was about as much ice cream in mine as there was in my friends, smaller, one flavor cup. However, when someone was asking for clarification, the employee explained that it was two scoops. Anyway, as a whole of ice cream is good and I'll keep coming back for that reason. I just want them to be staffed properly. What I don't love is that people hop in, grab ice cream from the freezer, cut the line and get checked out, while making people waiting in line wait. It's unfair and annoying, especially when you're just waiting for a couple scoops.

I always get the honeycomb ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream, and sprinkles. It's huge and the right ratio of ingredients. Also, they don't skimp on the fudge unlike other places. Note: The fudge isn't as sweet as other shops, which I appreciate. This particular location is small. Located by other shops in Eastern Market, sometimes there's a wait. For example, we went recently on a Thursday afternoon. When we arrived, a sign on the door said they will be back in 30 minutes. When we returned, only one person was working, creating a backlog. I felt bad for her managing it all on her own. Our wait ended up being 30 minutes.

It has an avant-garde vibe and curious furniture. The space itself, curated by Japanese artist Hiroshi Sugimoto, has an appropriate contemporary theme which echoes what's on display within. For example, right now there's a Basquiat & Banksy exhibit in the building. You get the drift. The biggest change is that the dark film that once covered the tall windows in the lobby is gone; all the sunlight that now comes in is quite lovely. This spot is a unique place to drink in some atmosphere as well as sip on fab coffee. The 2 huge, half-moon glass coffee tables with pedestals of gnarly wood serve as absorbing focal points. Dolcezza is a smart vendor to be featured here; they have top drawer java, skilled baristas as well as matching prices. Sometimes it's packed, other times not. I was able to observe the baristas making the drinks and the quality seemed inconsistent among individuals. Milk was poured heavily. I ordered the coquito and it was practically milk instead of the expected Puerto Rican eggnog. The coffee was brewed weakly, so I was dissatisfied by the lack of fragrance and caffeine. It needed more warm spices and a nutty base to justify being one of the most expensive beverages on the menu. I would not visit Dolcezza again, even though it was convenient. I would rather walk nearby for a decent cup of joe.
