Noodles, katsu and char siu so thick, you won't need to eat anything else! Located conveniently in Aiea off of Moanalua Rd, they offer the best broth you could ask for in a ramen. We had tan tan ramen that hit just the right bit of spicy. The tonkatsu ramen was pork centered and delicious. Their servings are plentiful and side orders like gyoza are also wonderful. Ambiance is bright and fresh. If you're in Aiea, you've got to go here for ramen.

First time for my wife and I, tried the takoyaki and mochiko chicken curry with fried rice! Wife got the mapo tofu on crispy noodles and chicken skewers. Takoyaki came out and I thought was gonna be piping hot...IT WASNT! but it was redone for us and was way better! The portions are huge and I didn't make a dent in my plate. Service was fast and friendly. The ambiance has loud thumps from time to time because they have a gym above this restaurant! lol so don't be startled like I was as I thought someone was coming thur the roof!

My husband is into a ramen crave lately. Maybe he's pregnant. Lol... So on yelp he saw this place in Aiea use to be Daiichi ramen. The server was friendly and to check up on us asking if we ok. I ordered the Zaru udon and my husband ordered Wakame ramen. We also had side gyoza. My udon was alot and the dipping sauce was good. My husband wakame ramen was good soup base he said the soup base wasnt what he expected. If you aiea check them out. Close to Youngs kalbi lower part from aiea shopping ctr.

Shaka Ramen was my choice for lunch. Had a craving for noodles. Decided to try Shaka. The dinning area is very spacious. The service was excellent. Our server was cordial and friendly. When I paid she gave my wife and I a senior discount. I ordered the Wakame Ramen. The broth had a strong wakame taste. YES wakame is seaweed. I thought it was stronger in flavor the other ramen shop's.

OK! UPDATE: 1/15/26! THIS PLACE HAS LAKSA! And A New-ish Menu... This Place Needs A Re-Visit From ALL OF YOU! lol. I've been here about 3 weeks ago and notice the change in management. The Interior changed. Then, I come here today and the menu changed ever so slightly with one BIG change to my taste buds! LAKSA!!! Probably my favorite type of Noodle Soup. This Creamy Coconut Brothy Goodness Is Everything.

Ordered Spicy Beef Ramen and a side kimchi. Was the perfect order for the weather. The food came out fast and everything tasted amazing. The service was great and did I mention how good the food is here? The portions are huge so I took some home for later. A bit out of the way for me, but I'll for sure be coming back soon!

Highly recommend!!! One of the best no-frills ramen spots on island. Super quick, super big portion sizes, and very nice people.

Classic menu offers choice or type of noodles either ramen or udon. There's also combo sets, appetizers, fried rice, curry, soups, salads, and kids menu. Black Garlic Ramen broth tasted rich in flavor. Noodles tasted on the lighter side. Few large pieces of char siu, a whole boiled egg sliced in half, kamaboko, some green onions, and generous amount of bamboo shoots. Customer service was on par. Server was attentive, provided ample napkins, and refilled our waters. Lots of tables with chairs. Free parking in Aiea Town Square.

Clean neighborhood ramen joint. If you're in Aiea and you want a quick bite; this is a good place to start. Don't let the simplicity of the ramen fool you; it was flavorful. Hubby liked the fried rice and mochiko chicken. Service was good. Like I said- no fireworks but a nice place to grab a hot bowl of ramen or curry and other fried delectables.

Pretty solid ramen spot, I like the location. Lots to choose from and prices are good. My friend and I were the only ones inside at 5 on a weekday. It was quiet inside and one lady was taking orders. Plenty of seating and very spaced out. I had the Kim-chee hoo ramen (I was intrigued by the spice since I love all things spicy!) but I was let down. It wasn't spicy to me at all, it had great flavor and plenty of noodles and Kim chee. I only had 2 small pieces of meat though... a bit of a disappointment.

Best spring rolls ever had. All other food are also fantastic. The volume will surprise you.

Felt like eating ramen and remembered about this place located in Aiea Town Square right next door to Young's Kalbi. I ordered the Special Combo which comes with ramen and 1 or 2 choices of entrees: - For the noodles, you can choose between ramen or udon, choice of Miso, Shoyu or Shio broth OR add $2 more if you want TanTan, Tonkotsu, Curry or Black Garlic broth. I chose the ramen with Miso broth. It didn't have too much taste and did not taste like miso. - Entree choices are Mini Curry Rice, Mochiko Chicken, 4-piece gyoza, Calamari, Mini Pork Fried Rice, Takoyaki, Croquette, Shrimp, Fish, Chicken or Spam Katsu. I ordered the Mini Curry Rice and Chicken Katsu. Both were okay...nothing stood out except maybe the katsu sauce...this was good. I was disappointed with the katsu pieces...it didn't look at all like the pics people posted on Yelp or their menu. What I received looked like scraps, it had more batter than meat. For the amount of food I got for $15.25, it's pricey...a little over $5 a dish but I'm guessing it's because you're paying for a variety of food you receive.

First impressions: Inviting, warm, clean and great customer service (we came in close to closing and we were greeted nicely!) I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen as recommended by others and I was not disappointed! Husband enjoyed his Spicy Beef Ramen because nothing clears up your sinuses like a good spicy hot bowl of ramen! They have all the additives vinegar, garlic, shoyu and gyoza sauce in elegant pieces on your table for easy convenience. We also ordered spring rolls and pork fried rice. Everything together was so tasty. Food came in a timely manner and service was amazing. Our waitress ran out to us thinking we over paid with tip on card and cash. She did great! Mahalo Shaka Ramen we will recommend your business to everyone and will be back again!

Although this location doesn't have all the same menu items as the Mililani one (I was definitely missing my favorite salmon fried rice), we still had a really good experience overall. I tried the sukiyaki beef bowl this time--it was decent, though it leaned a bit heavy on the rice compared to the portion of beef. The chicken karaage was a standout. The portion was generous, fried fresh, and paired really well with a spicy mayo dipping sauce. We also ordered the tofu salad, which was surprisingly large and super flavorful, with a sesame peanut dressing that I really enjoyed. Service was extremely quick, likely because the restaurant was pretty empty (which worked in our favor, especially during spring break). It did feel a bit rushed at times, but honestly, I didn't mind since I tend to prefer a quick in-and-out dining experience. Parking was also very convenient, with plenty of spaces available around the mall on multiple levels. Even though this location doesn't carry all of our favorites from Mililani, we'd still definitely come back. Solid food, fast service, and a great option when you're craving something warm and satisfying.
