I thought it was sweeter than I thought it would be but still not overly sweet. I liked it and would get again. -They had many tables and also outlets good for people to use for labtops/charging. -Cafe is very pretty, modern, and overall clean. -Menu has variety with coffee, frappes, matcha Cons -Restroom or restroom doors do not have place to hang or put personal items. Visited Shaghf Cafe because on their online website they advertise a latte sampler flight. Unfortunately, when I arrived neither of the cashiers knew what I was talking about and told me it was available at another location when the menu had the Sugar Land location on it. Going forward they should update their website to avoid misleading customers. While there I ordered the Iced Red Velvet Latte it was very disappointing. It tasted like watered down coffee with no red velvet flavor or sweetness at all. This coffee actually tasted like nothing. The Iced Mocha Latte was surprisingly good. It was smooth, rich, and chocolaty making it a solid iced mocha. The Iced Pistachio Latte was easily one of the best pistachio lattes I've ever had. It was made with pistachio paste that even had crushed pistachio pieces mixed in, adding an unexpected creamy and crunchy texture. I would absolutely come back just for this drink. And last I ordered the Halal Chicken Club Sandwich it was better than expected. It came with cheese, tomato, and a cold chicken salad style filling. It wasn't very flavorful, but it was satisfying enough. The fries were fresh, thick, crispy, and delicious. The service was okay. I do recommend they update their website to accurately reflect what's available at each location and the staff become a bit more welcoming when customers first walked in. One cashier eventually gave us a list of their most popular lattes, which was helpful. The ambiance was spacious, bright, and elegant, but unfortunately, the cleanliness didn't match the atmosphere. Every table I tried was dirty, and the white chairs throughout the café were covered with stains and spots. I even noticed other customers walking around searching for a clean place to sit. I ended up having to use my own wet wipes to clean the table before getting to sit down. They do have a nice selection of board games that customers can borrow, which was a nice touch. While waiting for our orders we were able to play a game of dominoes. Overall, despite the disappointment of not having the advertised latte flight, average service, and the lack of cleanliness, the pistachio latte and mocha latte made the visit worthwhile. I'd recommend stopping by to try the drinks especially the pistachio latte, but I hope they improve the accuracy of their website and put more attention into keeping the dining area clean for customers. read more

Tried Shaghf Cafe (@shaghf.sugarland) recently and it was such a great experience. The first thing that stands out is the ambiance--modern, elegant, and super spacious with a really relaxing vibe. It's the kind of place you can sit and unwind or catch up with friends. The drink menu is extensive with a lot of unique options. I went with the Hibiscus Breeze, which was refreshing, slightly tart, and perfect for a warm day. My coworkers tried a variety of drinks including the Pistachio Latte, Habibi Latte, and Dates Latte, and all of them were a hit. I recently tried Shagf Cafe and overall had a good experience. It's beautifully decorated with a white and gold theme, but I noticed quite a few scuff marks on the booths, tables, and walls. There were also several tables that hadn't been wiped down between customers. The staff wasn't very personable, but I did enjoy some of the drinks. The Pistachio Latte was my favorite. The almonds inside were a really nice surprise. The Mocha Latte was also delicious. The Red Velvet Latte lacked flavor. The coffee is decent but average, and the service is disappointing--the employees are personalityless and not friendly at all. A major drawback is the food availability. Savory items are only served on weekends, and while the pastries are sufficient for a light snack, they don't make for a full meal. Since many people come here to work and stay for a while, the cafe should really allow outside food during the week when their own savory service is unavailable. The most "gross" part of the visit was the restroom. The toilets don't flush properly, and there's a sign instructing you to push and hold the flush button. Even after holding it for a long time, you only get a weak flush. With a steady flow of business, this place has the potential to be awesome, but it needs a plumber, a more flexible food policy, and a staff attitude adjustment. read more

So I have been coming here as a study/ work location (10/10 I love). There are chargers EVERYWHERE, it's open decently late (until 10 on weekdays and 11 on weekends), and it is HUGE with lots of seating available. Comfy seating I might add! I also just love the white and cream aesthetic - perfect for getting work done in my opinion. However, today was my first time actually ordering something from the menu, and it won't be the last - so here is my full review. The girl taking my order recommend the habibi x strawberry matcha and I liked it (7/10) ! The flavor is really subtle and added just enough sweeteners. But I actually enjoy the taste of matcha so I didn't mind that it wasn't super strong. The Dubai chocolate cookie exceeded my expectations (8/10). Ehhhh. The cafe has yummy coffee! I enjoyed my drink itself. I ordered the coconut flavored latte however it's pretty dirty in here. The nice thing is that there isn't too much to clutter the space because if there was, it would look worse. The seating is all white which is aesthetically pleasing however when you get closer, the furniture is dirty and you can tell the place is not maintained well. My friend went to the RR and was shocked at how disgusting it was. She wasn't even able to use it because it wasn't usable is her opinion. I chose to hold my pee in rather than check it out. WiFi worked well. The staff was friendly so that's a plus. However, i will say the music is a tad bit loud in certain spots of the cafe but not in all. Shagf is a nice social cafe with many drink options and dessert options. I have many friends who rave about the pistachio options here. My family and I popped in for a late night sip and munch and were delighted to have the pistachio latte and habibi latte. If you're a coffee fan, I believe the habibi latte is a great choice. The pistachio latte was DELICIOUS, but it's more so pistachio milk as there is no coffee in it. However, you may opt to add espresso to it - I would recommend that! We tried their red velvet cheesecake which unfortunately was not good. It had a very odd and sour taste to it. However, their croissants looked really good. I plan to get their pistachio croissant next time. I'd recommend coming earlier in the day to get the desserts you may want! The employees are kind and the cafe is beautiful with ample seating. It can get very busy though. I recommend it as place to socialize and not coming here to work if you need a quiet environment. I'll be back! read more

This Dubai-based cafe is truly one of a kind to join sugar land's base. It's super aesthetically pleasing from every inch of the decor and seating and tables (I just really love their smooth tables LOL). This has to be the largest cafe I've ever been to in sugar land, and it really is delicious. They were really helpful in explaining what the latte had inside and after you pay you get a buzzer to pick up your orders. We got the iced habibi latte, which was hazelnut with vanilla, which I am definitely coming back to order AGAIN because it's SO GOOD YALL. It's nutty and aromatic and literally craving it as I speak HAHA. Just enough sweet yet not too sweet either. The pistachio latte was promising, but you have to remember to fully STIR the pistachio cream thoroughly to sweeten the latte. I wished they add a little bit more pistachio to make it sweet enough. We had to ask them to add more and then it tasted nice, they also have almond milk which was great for a lactose girly like me. The pistachio croissant is a MUST TRY. It's so flakey and airy, and the pistachio cream had bits of nutty pistachio inside too. Definitely the best pistachio croissant I've had. I'm gonna get it again when I come back too haha. It's a great spacious place to hang out or get some work done like we did. First off, there are no hours outside. I tried to come here last week with another friend of mine on a Friday morning around 11 AM or so, and the door was locked but lights were on inside. We were so confused. We tried to check for hours everywhere but couldn't find any. Later in the evening, my friend found them and saw that the hours were from 3PM onwards...that's an interesting timeframe. I know people sometimes like their coffee/tea late but some people also like their coffee/tea earlier too. But hey, could just be me. This place is huge and really white & bright, but I feel like it needs more greenery or something to balance the white inside of it. My friend & I came here for a late night coffee/tea & dessert session. I ordered an iced mango matcha, and she ordered an iced pistachio latte as well as a 3 chocolate mousse. The mousse was great, but the shortbread cookie layer at the bottom was hard to get the spoon through. My matcha was not so great, or at least it wasn't mixing well with the mango puree. My friend's drink was good but really sweet. My sisters also decided to join at some point and two of them got lattes and one got a matcha -- same situation happened with them. Not sure if it's the beginning hiccups of a new coffee shop, but hopefully things will get better as time goes by. read more

The two stars are because of the gorgeous interior. This a very well decorated establishment, seems very upscale and I can see how people would want to spend time here. However, the coffee itself was not it. I had to get my order to-go as I was heading to work. They did not have the Lotus or Biscoff latte as advertised, which wasn't a big deal as they were able to make red velvet latte I was also wanting to try. This latte was nothing red velvety. There were no chocolate notes, it lacked creaminess and sweetness, along with it being bitter - tasted like a burnt puck. I was not able to finish more than two trying sips of this. For the expensive price, it's cute but definitely not worth it. I do not think I will be revisiting for the coffee but I may stop in to try some of the pastries or other food items. read more

We tried the ice Habibi latte and pistachio frappe based on the owners recommendation and Favorites . The ice Habibi was really good. It's like a step down intensity from a Vietnamese coffee with a lot of nutty tones to it. The pistachio is also amazing as well. You can taste pistachio and chocolate undertones with it. Both were very creamy and well done. I would get both of these drinks again in the future, but with a decaf iced Habibi. Unfortunately, they will not have decaf options until after the official opening next month this is all still during their soft opening. The room was very modern looking . Sadly, everything echoes at each other so be prepared to be in a very loud room . And that's before they put on music . With music playing, everything's up another level of volume. There isn't any muffler to help dampen the noise. There is an outdoor patio area however I don't know if they will allow dogs so I don't think this is pet friendly. There is self serve free water. All the furniture is new so everything is stable and clean and white. The white chairs and furniture sofa is soft and a little bouncy . I don't know how they're gonna keep the furniture white, only time will tell. Parking is free and outfront . read more

Good spot for coffee. The interior is large with ample seating. It is also located in a large plaza so plenty of parking spots. Other yelpers have mentioned poor service and I will mention that when I came the workers at the front looked to be doing a promo with a videocamera team. They ignored us waiting at the front until we asked if they were open. Seems like service may be a point to work on for the shop. The iced pistachio latte is good, it's less sweet and has a stronger coffee flavor than haraz which is where I usually go for pistachio lattes. It is also cheaper than haraz but still expensive. Nice big coffee shop when we got here there was no music and it was a bit busy drinks took a while to be ready and we weren't attended to take out order for about 5-7 min we waited . I expected more from this place but definitely over hyped the drinks were not great got the habibi latte and biscoff wouldn't try that again . The drinks just tasted very sweet and they didn't have a lot of pastries the guy wouldn't sell me the display cheesecake said they don't sell that . No music for a while but eventually they put on some random music not English respectfully middle eastern music and I left with that . Just had their Kadak chai and Pistachio latte! Both were excellent. Customer service is top notch and the ambience is bright and welcoming!

The place is beautiful, but the drinks really depend on who's making them. Sometimes it feels like they just mix condensed milk and coffee and call it a tiramisu latte. I'd recommend sticking to the basics or maybe skipping the drinks altogether, depending on who's working that day. read more

Hello. Went here because relatives spoke highly about it. Walked in an was blown away by the ambiance. Really nice and clean inside. We ordered 5 drinks and some pastries. Waited for 40 minutes and did not get anything. After 40 minutes several people, including us, complained about not receiving orders. All people waiting were clearly frustrated and requested a refund. There were only 2 people working. Not sure why they were not able to keep up with orders. Another employee was sitting at a table. I think she was on her break. She was in a spot where she could see the long lines and orders piling up. I probably would have jumped in to help. Not sure why she didn't. read more

Visited Shaghf Cafe and tried the Habibi coffee along with a couple of refreshers -- unfortunately, the drinks didn't live up to expectations. The coffee had a burnt aftertaste, and the refreshers just weren't enjoyable except for the Mango Refresher. On the plus side, the seating and decor were beautifully done and created a great vibe. However, the space was already quite loud from the crowd, and the loud music made it even harder to hold a conversation. Also worth noting: the staff didn't seem very familiar with the menu, which made ordering a bit confusing. That said, I'll give them another try after they've been open a bit longer and have had time to settle in. There's potential here, but it needs fine-tuning. read more
