I took my Ford to them on Dec. 23d, 1st time customer at this shop. A steering issue. Mike, the manager phoned me at work to tell me power steeering needed replaced, the price took my breath away..$1,688.00, I told him to fix it. They stayed open late on Christmas Eve to finish it for me, which I greatly appreciated, sent Lyft to pick me up. Several days later I went over the bill, & saw they had also replaced 2 sway bar links for $218,59, I had 2days ago received the factory recall notice form CarFax on, but they were not mentioned when Mike called me. He told me to take the Bill to a Ford dealer & seek reimbursement. I did, followed up on it, & Ford rejected the claim. Im always a little weary of auto repair shops, but I was so pleasantly surprised with the service I received! It was my first time Shadow Mountain and from the moment I walked it, everyone was very friendly and helpful. All I needed was a simple oil change. The process itself was very quick and reasonably priced. I received a phone call when my car was ready to go and a summary of the oil change and inspection. They even made a small interior repair for me free of charge! Best of all, they didn't lie to me try to convince me I needed some ridiculously expensive service. So these guys are pretty awesome! My car was misfiring. The first place I took it to said it was just my o2 sensor...it wasn't. The second place was going to charge me upwards of $500 just for the diagnostics. Ron quoted me a reasonable price to perform the diagnostic tests. This place is fantastic. Great, honest service. I give it a 4 because they are not open on Saturdays. I appreciate closing for staff but it is very inconvenient for customers who are strapped for time. If you don't work or can get there during business hours I highly recommend them. If you are like me and work a lot, this is not the best place. At least a half day on Saturdays like most dealerships would be great and would have made them a 5 in my review! read more

Went in with truck trouble and was sent to them by a competitor who just wanted to sell, sell, sell. I was quickly greeted but Graham and we went over basics. He quickly got me a tow, got me in line for service and it flowed from there. The owner stepped in and introduced himself and advised me they would all stop for lunch which I appreciated his doing for his team. I was welcome to watch as they got started; not in the shop area due to regulations of course. They did some work and have me suggestions as I have ability to do the work and save some money. This shop runs on longtime customers and word of mouth. Everyone was personable and good folks. Doesn't matter where you are in the valley, they're worth the time and trip. These guys were super awesome. I was buying a used car and they inspected my vehicle before I purchased it. They were either not busy, or they made time for me, as I had not scheduled the inspection, and they started checking under the hood within minutes of my arrival. Moreover though I took a big problem to them and the results were unbelievable. The first time I had been told I needed a new air conditioner by another business. I went to get another bid and was all I needed was free-on. The second time I took a truck that the dealer said wasn't eligible for work under warranty & would be charged over$500. I went to Skyline and they told me to go another dealership and get another opinion. Formerly the booking people had worked as service managers. How have I never left these guys a review?! I found Shadow Mountain around '07 and I've never looked back. The owner, his wife, the front desk people, and of course the mechanics are incredible! I've lost track of how many vehicles I've had serviced here over the years, and I'm never disappointed.. for a car repair shop that's a tall order.. today's vehicles are nothing like they used to be, and if you don't stay current, you'll be left behind. The owner (Curt) not only stays current, but he teaches other mechanics at a school, does multiple car radio talk shows, stays on top of current equipment, procedures, and encourages his men to do the same..in addition to these things, he is one heck of a human being- his company's slogan "Where character counts" isn't just lip service.. in an industry full of talkers, Shadow Mountain Auto, it's owner, and it's crew delivers. Such an AMAZING feeling to have a shop you can trust. (PS I don't know who those two people were that said negative things about this place, but those reviews don't add up.. neither person even used their services, and that does *not* seem like Shadow Mountain.. maybe it is a competitor or something? My car was overheating and the closest place I could think to take it was Pep Boys. They quoted me almost $700 because "all of my hoses needed to be replaced" along with my thermostat and a coolant flush.
