What a great place! I called and they gave me an estimate and appointment time. They were very polite and accurate. They are awesome! Thanks! read more

This place is family owned always a friendly face Grahm if he is there greets you. Very kind goes the extra nine yards. If you want honesty and your card treated right go to Shadow Mountain auto care. read more

You'll get the best service every time you come here. I've been coming for several years now and they go out of their way to answer questions and do extra things to make sure your car is taken care of. For example my boyfriend tried helping me by installing a brand new battery in my Infiniti M35, but it was loose and kept the car from starting. I brought it in to Shadow Mountain and they tightened and tested the battery and alternator - and didn't charge me a thing! They are also very honest about repairs and will never recommend something that doesn't need to be done. There have been times where the dealership "recommended" something be done to my car and then I brought it into Shadow Mountain and they said either it wasn't necessary or I still had X,000 miles before it needed to be done. Great place that can service many brands of cars! read more

These guys absolutely rock! They shoot you straight and you can put full trust into their expertise and the work they will do on your vehicle. That is a hard thing to come by with automobile maintenance and service...its always a gamble and trusting is....well, not easy. Not the case at Shadow Mountain! Amazing and friendly service, efficient, fast turnaround times and pricing that is consistently transparent and competitive. Only place we bring our trucks and lucky to have them just down the street. A++++ and highly recommended. read more

My car battery died without warning, so I called last-minute to see if they could squeeze me in. Kurt answered the phone and assured me they would help me out. When I arrived with my newborn baby, I was greeted right away and they took care of the issue in under 20 minutes for an excellent price. I am so grateful, and plan to continue coming here for all my auto care read more

I've been a customer here for a few years now, but have never bothered to leave a review before. I want to give a shoutout to these guys for always exceeding my expectations with customer service! They are super friendly, honest and trustworthy and they go out of their way to make sure to take care of their customers. This morning in a rush to take my kids to school and get to a work meeting I realized my tire pressure light was on, so I pulled into Shadow Mountain to see if they could quickly check it for me. Within 5 minutes they filled all of my tires and I was on my way! It's so nice to have them right here in the neighborhood, and I can't recommend them enough! read more

I was so impressed by these guys. I took a used car I was buying to them and got a complete report and explanation. It cost half of what the other services charge and they had it done in less than an hour. I went there because of the other Yelp reviews here and I can verify that I had the same experience. What makes Shadow Mountain Auto Service better than any other shop I've been to is that they take the basics seriously... they know what they are doing, they care about their reputation, quality work means return customers, make a profit but don't gouge the customer and most important HONESTY. Thank you Rip, your report saved me $1500 on the car I ended buying read more

I took my Ford to them on Dec. 23d, 1st time customer at this shop. A steering issue. Mike, the manager phoned me at work to tell me power steeering needed replaced, the price took my breath away..$1,688.00, I told him to fix it. They stayed open late on Christmas Eve to finish it for me, which I greatly appreciated, sent Lyft to pick me up. Several days later I went over the bill, & saw they had also replaced 2 sway bar links for $218,59, I had 2days ago received the factory recall notice form CarFax on, but they were not mentioned when Mike called me. He told me to take the Bill to a Ford dealer & seek reimbursement. I did, followed up on it, & Ford rejected the claim. Mike omitted details when he called me with the price, I'm an older female, maybe he thought I wouldn't understand, but in this case wish he had disclosed it. read more

Im always a little weary of auto repair shops, but I was so pleasantly surprised with the service I received! It was my first time Shadow Mountain and from the moment I walked it, everyone was very friendly and helpful. All I needed was a simple oil change. The process itself was very quick and reasonably priced. I received a phone call when my car was ready to go and a summary of the oil change and inspection. They even made a small interior repair for me free of charge! Best of all, they didn't lie to me try to convince me I needed some ridiculously expensive service. With an older vehicle, this is the first time I've left an auto shop happy and confident with the service I received! read more

We have been taking all of our vehicles here for over ten yeas. This place is exceptional! Fair and honest, the staff are always helpful and explain everything with no high pressure up selling. Thanks taking such good care of us! read more

Brought my car in to have my starter replaced, the guy was very very nice. They were so helpful with the main problem and any others. They estimated a couple days but it was ready that evening!!! Very happy I chose to take my car here. read more

Brought my car in for issues on starting. They did a thorough inspection, found several issues that needed to be addressed and advised I should go to dealership since it should be under warranty. Although he could not duplicate my starting issues, he didn't charge me for his service. He was friendly and appeared to be knowledgeable. Will be bringing our other car in soon. Nice to find a neighborhood car repair that doesn't rip you off. Kudos. read more

So these guys are pretty awesome! My car was misfiring. The first place I took it to said it was just my o2 sensor...it wasn't. The second place was going to charge me upwards of $500 just for the diagnostics. Ron quoted me a reasonable price to perform the diagnostic tests. They also charged a reasonable price for labor and gave me a list of the other work I need to eventually have done. These guys are honest and fast. I'll be going back to them for sure. read more

This place is fantastic. Great, honest service. I give it a 4 because they are not open on Saturdays. I appreciate closing for staff but it is very inconvenient for customers who are strapped for time. If you don't work or can get there during business hours I highly recommend them. If you are like me and work a lot, this is not the best place. At least a half day on Saturdays like most dealerships would be great and would have made them a 5 in my review! read more

Curt, Rip and everyone here are really helpful. Their commitment to quality work at good value is their highest priority. They won't sell you what you don't need, and they give a long warranty on the work they do. Very high integrity. read more

The words I would like to emphasize for these guys are honesty & competency. If you are looking for a mechanic who will level out the playing field and tell you exactly how it is, these guys are the ones to go to. The gentleman I was talking to therewas Ron and he laid out exactly what I needed and things I did not need currently. Through a simple conversation with him, I realized how much Honda Dealership was taking advantage of me and I worked in sales! Guys, I cannot thank you enough for the education and your honesty! Thank you guys! read more

Ron Henslin is kind and courteous. He speaks with you in a down to earth manner and makes you feel comfortable leaving your car in good hands. I have an issue with my car and brought it right in to them, they asked questions and I said what I knew, heard, thought what the issue was and they didn't make me feel like I was an idiot. They explained that it may take a while and asked if I had means to get home and I really didn't and immediately he called to the other auto guy his name is Steve and he said take her home and here I am home. I feel so entrusted and assured that my car is in the best hand possible. I will never do business with anyone else! Thank you Ron and Steve and to Shadow Mountain Auto Service for all you do and are doing. Christine Wagner read more

We moved back to the area and needed some work done on our van. Shadow Mountain auto was very thorough, competent, and friendly. They even threw in some minor things, like an unnoticed tail light that needed to be fixed, for free! Each time I go back, it is consistently a good experience. read more

Very honest! They let me know my vehicle was still under warranty at my Honda dealership. They easily saved me $140! I guarantee I will be coming back again! read more

Hi everyone, I just returned from Shadow Mountain Auto Service and am More than totally satisfied. They are honest, friendly and obviously have integrity . This is the shop that I will continue to take my auto to. read more

It's comforting to deal with an honest auto shop for once! They've done a few small jobs for me without charge (installed a new blinker bulb and ran diagnostics on why my engine light was on.) They also did some repair work on a used jeep I bought and came in a couple hundred UNDER their estimate because they didn't have to buy all the parts they thought. Nice guys, nice shop. read more

Cant say enough positive things about this garage. Curt, the owner, knows everything there is to know about vehicles and therefore gets the diagnostics correct. By getting the diagnostics correct, this garage fixes the problems correctly. The staff are friendly and informative to both genders. Prices are great. You wont go wrong with this garage read more

This was my third visit to Shadow Mountain Auto Service! I have two vintage cars and my daily driver! I moved into my home nearby one year ago and I was fortunate to find such a reputable repair shop! Curt and Graham once again went out of their way to make sure the car was properly repaired. They kept me informed on the progress and the cost so there were no unexpected surprises! I am very pleased and trust them explicitly and would highly recommend them and I am very fussy with my cars! Shadow Mountain Auto Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I took my truck in for an oil leak, and they found the leak and repaired it very quickly. The staff was very courteous and did not try to sell me on other services. I will definitely being going back there for all my future automotive needs. They are cheaper and by far less hassle for oil changes than jiffy lube. read more

I haven't had many auto shop experiences aside from getting my tires rotated and oil changes when I didn't feel like doing them. I must say I am impressed with these guys! They are polite, friendly and courteous. Every time I called they were fantastic. They didn't do anything that wasn't necessary and didn't give me a spiel about all the things I should fix on my car. They work fast, and I was quite pleased when my total bill came under the estimate both times I've been there. I would highly recommend them. read more

Shadow Mountain Auto is the best service shop I have ever dealt with. I have been a loyal customer for over 8 years now and they still impress me with the respect and care they provide. This is the only shop I have ever been to that has told me things DON'T have to be done yet. They really focus on fixing what needs to be and avoiding over charging for work that is not necessary. I have referred all friends and family to this shop and all have come away with great service experiences. Highly recommend! read more

Wow! An honest repair shop. These guys are a no-brainer.

We were so impressed with this place. Graham was the nicest guy we have ever met at an auto shop. He was so helpful and very accommodating. We were very pleased with our experience here. We will definitely come back. We will be recommending this place to our friends. read more

Great service from Shadow Mountain Auto Service. Honest work done quickly for a reasonable price. So glad to have found a mechanic I trust. read more

I came into the shop with no knowledge of what was wrong, just had the car towed from where it broke down. The guys here were great, they offered me options, cheaper options which I appreciated. Then they went above and beyond the call to meet my deadlines and repair a side issue. Courteous team that put my needs first and always stayed in communication. I am new to town and this will be my repair shop moving forward. read more

Went in with truck trouble and was sent to them by a competitor who just wanted to sell, sell, sell. I was quickly greeted but Graham and we went over basics. He quickly got me a tow, got me in line for service and it flowed from there. The owner stepped in and introduced himself and advised me they would all stop for lunch which I appreciated his doing for his team. I was welcome to watch as they got started; not in the shop area due to regulations of course. They did some work and have me suggestions as I have ability to do the work and save some money. This shop runs on longtime customers and word of mouth. Everyone was personable and good folks. Doesn't matter where you are in the valley, they're worth the time and trip. Not many honest repair ships who perform good work, honest and are glad you stopped. They're the good guys worth checking out. Thank you! Look for the big, green Jeep! read more

These guys were super awesome. I was buying a used car and they inspected my vehicle before I purchased it. They were either not busy, or they made time for me, as I had not scheduled the inspection, and they started checking under the hood within minutes of my arrival. I get the feeling that this is an honest shop, which is the #1 priority in my book. The inspection was free, but I gave them $20 anyway, which is probably less than many repair shops would charge. If I find myself needing a repair, I'll be back for sure! read more

I was referred to Shadow Mountain Auto Service and it was a great experience. They are honest, reliable and very thorough. They explain everything very clearly and do not try and up sell unnecessary products or services. They are very convenient also as I was able to drop my car off and leave my key and information for the tech to service my car while I was at work. The prices are very affordable and I will be using this auto repair shop forever! read more

I booked an appointment online and received a text message confirmation. Showed up at Shadow Mountain and they didn't know that I was coming -- they said that they had problems with their system. I received no service. CALL AND CONFIRM APPOINTMENT FIRST, or you might be left hanging. read more

The folks who run this business are helpful, down to earth and they are fair and honest. I had a couple of my autos there and the work was fast, well done and reasonable. Moreover though I took a big problem to them and the results were unbelievable. The first time I had been told I needed a new air conditioner by another business. I went to get another bid and was all I needed was free-on. The second time I took a truck that the dealer said wasn't eligible for work under warranty & would be charged over$500. I went to Skyline and they told me to go another dealership and get another opinion. Formerly the booking people had worked as service managers. Sure enough I went to the other dealership and the repair charge for me was $0. This business makes you feel like a good friend. read more

How have I never left these guys a review?! I found Shadow Mountain around '07 and I've never looked back. The owner, his wife, the front desk people, and of course the mechanics are incredible! I've lost track of how many vehicles I've had serviced here over the years, and I'm never disappointed.. for a car repair shop that's a tall order.. today's vehicles are nothing like they used to be, and if you don't stay current, you'll be left behind. The owner (Curt) not only stays current, but he teaches other mechanics at a school, does multiple car radio talk shows, stays on top of current equipment, procedures, and encourages his men to do the same..in addition to these things, he is one heck of a human being- his company's slogan "Where character counts" isn't just lip service.. in an industry full of talkers, Shadow Mountain Auto, it's owner, and it's crew delivers. Such an AMAZING feeling to have a shop you can trust. (PS I don't know who those two people were that said negative things about this place, but those reviews don't add up.. neither person even used their services, and that does *not* seem like Shadow Mountain.. maybe it is a competitor or something? Sounds like a "cheapest price" shopper and a do it yourselfer with his own parts.. neither represents a normal every day customer in my opinion) read more

My car was overheating and the closest place I could think to take it was Pep Boys. They quoted me almost $700 because "all of my hoses needed to be replaced" along with my thermostat and a coolant flush. Not to mention they were going to charge me EXTRA for a warranty on the parts which is absolutely ludicrous. After talking to a trusted mechanic (who doesn't live in AZ) I took it for a second opinion to Shadow Mountain Auto Service. It was a bit of a drive but I made it. After all, they're yelp reviews are nothing but raving fans. A trusted, hard working, friendly auto business. Not only did they quote me $300 less but they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with my hoses. It was clean, comfortable, there's coffee... They even seemed genuinely concerned about me driving up there and told me to keep in touch and call them if I happened to need a tow. I'm so glad I decided to get a second opinion. Thanks Shadow Mountain for being so kind, greeting me by name and understanding that all anyone wants is an honest mechanic. read more

Super impressed with this place! I needed a second opinion on a belt repair and choose to give Shadow Mountain a try based on their great yelp reviews. They lived up to their 5 stars! I felt they were honest and genuine. They didn't talk down to me or try to up sell me on needless things like many places do. I even got a ride to work while they completed the repair! This is now my "place" for repairs and oil changes. :) read more
