The Ro On Oak - Charcuterie board

The Ro On Oak delivers an experience where the aesthetics are absolutely spot on. The dark burgundy…read morevelvet tones mixed with rich wood finishes instantly create a feeling of stepping back in time. The music selection and volume were equally well done, balanced in a way that felt welcoming to every generation. At one point, I almost felt like I had stepped into the bar scene from *The Shining*, not in a creepy sense, but in that nostalgic, timeless atmosphere kind of way. The Old Fashioned was prepared exactly right, especially with my request for lighter bitters since I do not enjoy it overly sweet. Many places miss that balance, but they nailed it here. The charcuterie board was easily one of the best I have had. The mozzarella and white cheddar were perfectly portioned, fresh, and rich. The green apple slices tasted incredibly fresh, like they had just been picked from the orchards of Apple Hill in California. The honeycomb was a first for me on a board and made the experience especially memorable. The artwork throughout the space also adds a unique character that I always appreciate in a restaurant. The prosciutto was a little tough but still had good flavor, while the Calabrese was spot on. Service was professional and attentive, with frequent check-ins throughout the evening. My only recommendation would be for servers to introduce themselves, as that small touch makes the experience feel more personal and welcoming rather than simply transactional.

Lots of games on the big screens and the food menu, albeit limited, is fresh and flavorful. Restrooms are very clean and well kept. Dogs are welcomed and ours weren't bothered by the large groups and other dogs there. We will most definitely be back soon! GREAT concept and HUGE outdoor area that also has events and live music often. Try the salmon and the Brussels sprouts. They were awesome! Good for large groups or just to chill and hang too. Outdoor seating is comprised of couches High tops, bar, and regular tables. Cool blend for dining and hanging out.

She led me back to the table with my friends and created some small talk on the way, so that was a nice change of pace, considering many people just point you on your way. We were seated near the back which seemed to be somewhat like an open kitchen feel, which I actually thought was pretty cool. Our waitress was very fast and helpful with picking out our foods based on our likes. Once the food came out, everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals, including myself. We started the table off with the biscuits and fried green tomatoes (demolished!). I kept it simple with the chicken and waffles (delicioius and crispy), which was a HUGE helping (yum!). Others at my table enjoyed the the shrimp and grits and WB chicken sandwich. No complaints heard from them! Overall, I really enjoyed the ambiance, the food, the service, and the experience I had for my first time there. Would come back again for dinner to see if there is a difference.

Butter and honey made it a good appetizer * The chicken tenders were crisp and juicy and I love to dip mine in gravy versus a sauce so this was perfect. * Thought the greens were flavorful and a nice side. *Chicken and waffle was a nice plate- same chicken tenders as above. *Nice cocktail list- as they have a full bar. What could have been better. *Booth seating for 6 was a little crowded but not a big issue. * Was a little pricey but considering the area and it was good, not a big deal.
