I had super curly hair and it was uneven in the back after the cut. It appeared as if all my hair was gathered into a ponytail and cut at the top. It was so heavily textured that there was nothing for my hair to have shape leaving it frizzy. When I went back to my regular hairdresser who cut off all the "points" at the ends of my hair, she tried to leave me some length. Sadly, my hair looks like it was cut with a weed whacker, as if there were no actual style I could reproduce or work with when I got home. I am trying to grow it out and it has been terrible to try and style. I do not recommend this niche haircut.

The salon itself is super clean, bright and welcoming. I especially love that they have Oribe products. We were offered something to drink and of course we went with the champagne! We were sipping on that while we got our hair blown out and it was such a nice touch! My stylist listened to exactly what I want and it came out perfect! I don't think I've ever felt softer hair on my head before! I couldn't stop running my hands through it! For those of us retired that regularly come in that is just out of my price range. In checking the surrounding area, it is not the standard to charge for gloss and blowout. In addition, no one had said upon booking that tips had to be in cash or that the blowout or gloss were additional charges. Lucky for Danielle I had cash that day. It is a real inconvenience to have to carry cash . Danielle did a great job but I regularly go in for services and the salon charges are cost prohibitive and not the norm for the area. The is not a negative on the skill but my thoughts and experiences.

In my first year or so of keeping my hair at a pixie cut length, which requires a haircut every 5 weeks, no one has cut my hair as well as Sarah. Even better than the first time I cut all of it off, which was at a fancy Boston salon for $80. Sarah does a PERFECT cut and style for a reasonable price (I think she was promoted to $52 recently). If you refer friends to her or any of the stylists, both you and the friend get $25 off. Plan to book a week in advance with her, I'm not the only one who likes Sarah! A feminine pixie cut is not easy. One wrong snip and it shows, as I've had some really terrible cuts elsewhere. But I think if a salon/stylist can make it this flawless, it shows how high quality their service is across many hairstyles. I saw people with all sorts of hairdos in that salon and it's always busy, which is a good sign!

It's also so great that she really listens to what I want and is always spot on with her execution. And she's very familiar with the way my hair reacts and behaves, so she's very in tune to what needs to be done. Aside from the hair care, I always love what a welcoming environment this salon is; the staff is always so good and friendly with their clients like the local hangout. I feel as though a lot of salons do miss this aspect. Also appreciated is the fact that there's always a plethora of current magazines. Politely offered beverage services, snacks, hair style lookbooks, a comfy waiting area and a full suite of products round out the amenities. ( As of this posting, ownership has installed full-spectrum, eco-responsible lighting that naturally illuminates- giving you and your stylist true color representation, resulting in effects that look great when you emerge into natural light.) As for the talent, I have my main guru Tracey, but have had to use the services of other team members when my schedule doesn't work with Tracey. Mary Jean, Nicole, and a host of others have stepped in to do wonderful updos, cuts and color, straightening, etc. When things get busy at the salon, the team help each other out. They support each other, making it a wonderful, smooth operation. It's just a solid team, working hard to make every guest feel welcome, cared for and beautiful. As for the errant negative reviews, we live in a world where, sadly, entitlement rules. People want to have *everything* delivered to them *immediately* for a cost next to nothing- and they want it done exactly like how they picture it in their minds- no matter how much it may defy all natural laws of physics. I'll stick with working as a research scientist, thank you- it's far easier than owning a salon. You can't please everyone as a business owner, but every three months or so, I get to see a group of talented professionals give it their all toward this end.
