An acquaintance of mine recommended this place since she knew the owner, and I went into it wondering if the recommendation was just for the family ties or for the quality. Turns out that it was both! I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed (with multiple layers) and the straps adjusted. Had a lovely chat with her as she pinned the dress, and felt very welcome and comfortable. The only thing I'd mention is to be clear about how long you want things hemmed. My dress was floor-length, and I forgot to ask her to hem it a little higher than floor-length. She did it perfectly above the floor according to my shoe height, so that was all on me and my lack of experience with formal dresses lol. It still worked fine, and I didn't trip once. I'd recommend this business for alterations.

It looks really amazing, I'm only giving three stars because I felt there was no communication with her outside of being physically in the shop. I made an appointment with her for July 11th. At my first appointment, we talked about what I wanted done hemming in the front, added bustle, and a modesty panel behind my corset back, and she also recommended what she would like to do to my dress to make it fit better. After she had put all the pins in she gave me my receipt and said to come back in three weeks on August 1st and it would be finished. She messaged me on July 30th asking me to come on the 2nd instead. I agreed. Now when I had went three weeks later, I expected the dress to be done since she never told me otherwise. Only the hemming on the bottom of the dress was done, but then a she started to pin the underside of my dress for my bustles again. My mom was with me at the appointment, she asked her if she needed to redo the pinning for the bustles she said yes. After this, she said to come back in one week on August 10th and it'll be done. Again. We were on our way (mind you my mom lives an hour away, and I live 30 minutes away), we hit some traffic and I messaged to her let her know we'd be a few minutes late. She didn't respond until we were outside her building, she said the dress wasn't done because she needed to order the bustles and they were arriving until Thursday August 13th. She did apologize for not letting us know, but at this point we were already there. She said it would be done on Saturday August 15th, this time it was done and it looked amazing. She did give us a discount for the inconvenience of coming to Visalia since she didn't let us know the dress was not done on August 10th. She was apologetic for that, and a really sweet woman. I would just say to try and over communicate with her on your end and ask plenty of questions so pickups and what you're needing done is clear.

The employees here were friendly, fast and efficient. I was told that my jackets would be ready the next day, which was great for me since it was getting cold out and these were my husband's jackets.
