CK Elegant Women's Alterations truly saved the day! I had originally reached out to another…read moreseamstress, but she wasn't returning any of my messages. I called CK and they were able to see me that same day. I am very thankful they were able to squeeze me in on such short notice. I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders among all the chaos of wedding planning. My dress had three different fabrics that needed to be hemmed, the main fabric being tulle and lots of it. They also added several bustles, both French and traditional, to keep my dress up during the reception. You have the option of a clear button or jeweled. Because of the design of my dress, they recommended the clear. I picked up my dress the day before the wedding and it was absolutely perfect! CK is very professional, knowledgable, and timely. They know what they are doing when it comes to alterations. I have already recommended them to several brides that I know. Thank you for everything!

I do not recommend this shop. They are very expensive and don't listen to what you want. I could…read morebought a different dress for what they charged! They drag out wedding alterations until the week of the wedding so you can't fix anything and just have to leave with the dress! I had bought a sample gown and needed the waist taken out a bit and the bust cups moved down/ lined and of course the length hemmed. The only thing that was actually done before the week of my wedding was the hemming of length. When I went to go pick up my dress the week of the wedding, the cups had been moved even higher and had padding in them. I had to take those out myself and put the dress back together. The day of the wedding the zipper didn't even want to zip plus during my photos before my ceremony. The center of the zipper broke and I had to hold my dress together with safety pins. Save your money and go to another alteration shop! I would given this place zero stair if I could.

An acquaintance of mine recommended this place since she knew the owner, and I went into it wondering if the recommendation was just for the family ties or for the quality. Turns out that it was both! I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed (with multiple layers) and the straps adjusted. Had a lovely chat with her as she pinned the dress, and felt very welcome and comfortable. The only thing I'd mention is to be clear about how long you want things hemmed. My dress was floor-length, and I forgot to ask her to hem it a little higher than floor-length. She did it perfectly above the floor according to my shoe height, so that was all on me and my lack of experience with formal dresses lol. It still worked fine, and I didn't trip once. I'd recommend this business for alterations.

My friend recommended Mission Alterations because he had previously brought a suit in to get altered. It's located in a small suburban street, in a house as opposed to a storefront. I came by, and met one of the owners, a kind friendly older gentleman. He was efficient and very accommodating about the turnaround time. Luckily, it was a easy hem job with not a lot of fabric that needed to be removed. The quote was very reasonable at $15 or so from what I remember. Very happy with the experience and would definitely come back in the future whenever I need alterations.
