Professional, clear communication, reasonable timeline (two weeks for a multi-layer hem and strap adjustment), pleasant experience. An acquaintance of mine recommended this place since she knew the owner, and I went into it wondering if the recommendation was just for the family ties or for the quality. Turns out that it was both! I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed (with multiple layers) and the straps adjusted. Had a lovely chat with her as she pinned the dress, and felt very welcome and comfortable. The only thing I'd mention is to be clear about how long you want things hemmed. My dress was floor-length, and I forgot to ask her to hem it a little higher than floor-length. She did it perfectly above the floor according to my shoe height, so that was all on me and my lack of experience with formal dresses lol. It still worked fine, and I didn't trip once. I worked 100% with Joleen. She is kind, responsive and creates MIRACLES ‍ ! This is True! I have some beautiful clothes that I thought I could never wear again. I lost over 50 lbs YIPEE! It is not the best to take clothes from a size 10/12 to a sign 2/4...one can often loose a lot in overall style??? Not JOLEEN!! She was able to make my fabulous designer wear look even better on my trim figure! WOW! Amazing! AND it wasn't like buying a whole new dress! Yippee, again! One item of clothing she could not fix ...my black leather pants, which were timeless. But!! Hear me out!! When I say BUT, I mean BUTT, leather stretches, I wore those leather pants a lot!! I had a full "BEHIND" with some matching "saddlebags" (huh? No horse, thoughHa). Those silly leather pants were stretched-out in my old "chub-BUTT" figure! Haha! I purchased a dress last year and it was too long. Found this shop by accident. They did a great job.

As soon as I walked in, I felt very unwelcome the way they were looking at me when I walked in like I was not welcome in there. Was not helpful and was kind of rude. When I asked her about altering dismiss me saying she was booked. I understand we can be booked, and busy but she could've been kinder and made me feel more welcome very rude. will never come back here ever again. read more

I've taken my clothes there twice now, and I'm very happy! The first time I took three tops to be taken in. They came out perfect! And then, this last time, I took a dress in that was covered with sequins. It needed to be nipped and tucked in a few places. I was concerned it couldn't be done due to all the sequins. And the lining around the neck was turned up. I picked up my dress yesterday and it fits beautifully! And the icing on the cake was that I was remembered when I walked through the door! Called ahead and was told to drop off my shirt any time before 5 when she closed. Went a few days later around 2:30 and there was a sign on the door saying Be back at 3:30! I understand things come up when you work alone so tell people to call and make sure you're open instead of telling them anytime before 5! read more

We had to evacuate from the creek fire. Our seamstress in tollhouse had started my daughters bridesmaid dress and was told to pack up and leave the area. We were able to grab the unfinished dress with only 5 days before wedding. We found Debbies and we told them we needed a miracle. They were fantastic. Dress done completley perfect in time for wedding. They wanted to know if their was anything they could do for us or our family because of the fire. They went way over and above to help us. I have been coming to Debbe's Alterations for many years. The establishment is very clean and the two ladies who work and run the place are very personable and friendly and there is not a project they handle. When I bring my suits in here, they make me look good and the prices are very reasonable. normal turn-around time on alterations time is great too. (I recently paid a $10 rush fee to have my new suit tailored and read the next day.) There is not another place in town I would recommend if you are looking to get your clothes custom fitted.
