had reservations, ordered ribeye, well done no pink, was very disappointed...the steak was served medium , had blood coming out still. We arrived and the greeter kept telling us we didn't have a reservation. I replied that we had a reservation for 2 at 5:30. He kept repeating no we didn't & was kind of talking down to us. I replied that it was made through Open Table . He assumed we had just made the reservation & kept telling me that Open Table gave us a table someone was already seated at . I reserved 10-14 days ago. I confirmed yesterday. They ended up seating us close to the kitchen. I felt like we were seating in the wait station. Fabulous Steak house experience! Enjoyed the wedge salad - perfect! The T-bone was really good - enough to split. The restaurant is tucked away from the casino, so you have privacy and are not bothered by casino machine noise. It is nice and quiet in the restaurant. The servers were very friendly. The steak is delicious! Large portions and cooked to temperature requested. The Alaskan halibut stuffed with crab, is also delicious. The asparagus side was yummy, not overcooked. However, I was slightly disappointed with the yams. They had a sweet sauce all over them, with nuts. Yams are already nice and sweet, why add a sweet sauce to them? The chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream was a great way to end the dinner. read more

Always happy to eat here. The food is fresh and served hot. I have never had a bad meal here. I can cook a really great steak, so I go for food I don't. Very rich in both flavor and consistency, served in a pastry shell, the lobster bisque is worth the experience. The service is exceptional and very helpful. This was truly an amazing experience from the ambiance to the service but especially the food. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had lobster bisque and french onion soups which were both delicious. We shared crab cakes and muscles and ended with a trip of creme brûlée. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This place is 5-star all the way. We had a truly decadent birthday dinner party here and every bite was amazing. Service is fantastic. We had the wonderfully attentive and super friendly Randall, but the host to everyone we met in between seemed happy to be there. With our party of 10, we must have had everything on the menu. Highlights include the jalapeño mash, coconut shrimp (note: it comes with a salad, so you do not need to order another one if you are "coursing"), lobster bisque, scallops, sea bass -- all excellent. The ambience is average. The service was good. The food, not so much. Both of our steaks were overcooked. You would think a steakhouse would know how to cook a steak. Especially a $48 or $57 steak. I did bring it to our server's attention and he took it to the manager who offered a free desert. We didn't accept. Can't say I recommend this place. read more

Went here for a birthday celebration. It didn't disappoint. The wait staff was super friendly and shared some funny stories with us. I had the Alaskan halibut stuffed with crab with aspargus and sweet potatoes. It was delicious. My friends had the chicken and filet migon and said it was also great. We shared the trio of creme brulee. The espresso one was our favorite. This restaurant is a little hidden gem. I've been here for 3 years and didn't know about this place. We looked forward with great anticipation to great dinning however, the food was a great disappointment. My filet was dry and overcooked, the lobster required a steak knife to cut, the baked potato was hard in places, plate cold. The manager asked about dinner and was told and observed the difficulty cutting the lobster but no adjustment was made on the bill. This experience was shared by four other in our party. This was a very disappointing dinner experience, especially considering the prices. read more

This is a true steakhouse! The perk about this place is you automatically two healthy sides, included with the price of the dish. They have the best sides that it's hard to decide what to get. Seven Rivers has bison strip steak (my favorite) cooked to perfection. A full bar and extensive wine list give you lots of options for libations. The service there is top notch and very polite and friendly waiters. They're service is worth every Penny! read more

Amazing dinner. Why haven't we dined here before? The steak is amazing. The daily specials were an awesome value. I actually had the Chicken ala Sinatra, which I would highly recommend the dining room has ample space. Your table is so far from the next table you can't hear any other conversations. I made reservation on Yelp which meant our table was ready for us when we got there. We were there on a Wednesday evening, while it wasn't crowded, I'll always recommend a reservation. We were celebrating a birthday. While I did put that in notes on reservation they made no mention of it nor brought a small sweet at desert. That would have been very nice. read more

My girlfriend and I have been twice now. Both times it was fantastic from the maître de to the waitress to the chef. When we ordered steak the waitress brought out a lined wooden box containing steak knives for us to chose from. We have not been disappointed with any item we have ordered so far. Outstanding overall experience. By far the best fine dining in Durango area. The peppered bison, and sea bass were both fantastic. The sides were also excellent especially the scalloped potatoes. I've been to this place on 3 separate occasions. Two of the three times they didn't have the simple mashed potato available. This time I waited 30 minutes beyond my 8pm reservation to get my table that I reserved. I had been searching for a dining "experience" which is a reasonable expectation at a high price steak house, but naw, it's just cooked meat and occasionally they might have the sides that you want to eat. It was not the case for me. Regardless, the lack of consistency and flavor from the other sides that I had to concede is not worth the price tag. Save yourself the disappointment and just travel the 20 miles to Durango for a real dining experience. read more

Came a long way to stay at the Sky Ute on a Monday and Tuesday night and we're looking forward to trying this place. Unfortunately during late June they choose not to be open those nights so you get nothing. Check the hours before you make a trip otherwise you wind up with a burger in a casino that reeks of stale cigarette smoke instead. Bummer. read more

This restaurant is in its first couple weeks and I am very impressed. It is easily my favorite restaurant in the Durango/Bayfield/Ignacio area. Everything is made in-house and is fantastic. The atmosphere is great and pricing is right on for what you are getting. If you order a $45.00 steak or $30.00 steak you are paying for an excellent piece of meat prepared perfectly. Be sure to ask for the secret recipe steak sauce. It is unlike anything I have ever had - it was great. My mouth is still watering for the French Onion soup, crab cake and sweet potatoes! Everything is fantastic, as a person that loves to eat out, I do not see much diversity in our eating out menu any longer. Special occasions will be spent at this fantastic restaurant.
