Better than average pedi. Patient, careful, thorough. Not sure what the trend is but not allowing tips to be processed along with the session fee seems odd in 2025. I've heard from other (different) spa employees that they want cash or Zelle tips, and when pressed, seems the business owners take some or all of that tip. If true, that's entirely unprofessional & unethical, maybe even illegal (?). Not in any way suggesting this about Sesen Spa, I had a good experience, but having been to several others around Vienna in the last few months, it seems a real issue. read more

I truly hate to post a bad review on a small business, but I'm hoping that this will change the customer service moving forward. This was my first time at the salon getting a pedicure from Tanya. I called the salon to say that I was on the way and confirm my appointment, and nobody answered the phone despite calling three times. Once reaching the salon, I came in and was approached by Tanya, who asked "are you Amber?" I said "yes I called but did not receive an answer." She stated the Manager carries the phone for the salon and she was not there that day. The pedicure felt very rushed in order to tend to the next customer who came in. There was no kindness during this appointment, including common courtesies such as asking if I was happy with the pedicure in the end, telling me when my polish was dry, handing me my shoes, and getting my coat from the coat closet as I was leaving. I know this is not beyond reasonable expectations for this salon, because I saw the other technician perform these exact courtesies with another client as I was there! I also did want to note that a postman came in to deliver a package asking if he had the correct address, and Tanya paid him no attention with a very dry response stating she didn't know who the person was they were looking for. People come to a salon to relax, not feel uncomfortable. I came here based on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! It was easy to find and no difficulties finding parking. The ambiance of the Spa is inviting and instantly calming & relaxing. Staff are always friendly and are very knowledgeable on your mail care. I have gone for gel polish mani twice which included needing it done for my engagement pictures. They looked perfect! Boogii did amazing work! The loss of star is because I recently had a French gel mani and it was not great, it chipped within two days and I did nothing out of my ordinary routine. This place is amazing for manis and pedis, which I've already reviewed. This review is for facials with Marie Noelle. Today I saw Marie Noelle and it was my first time getting a facial at Sesen. I got the signature 90 minute. Beautiful treatment room. Marie Noelle has a gentle touch, generous with the lotions and serums. Tough with the extractions which is good. Definitely takes her work very seriously, does education with each step. With facial spa treatments, there's some relax time built in. She massaged my hands with lots of cream and put heated mitts on them. Then she put a mask on my face. I fell asleep, I was so relaxed. My only comment is the treatment room is kind of chilly. I think this may be a hidden gem in Vienna. I've been here 3 times so far. I first came here at the recommendation of a friend who gifted me a massage. The masseuse really listened to my concerns and incorporated that feedback into the session. I left that first visit very relaxed. A month later, I came back for a pedi. I loved that I could book, customize, and pay for my service online. This made the end of the session feel seamless. Like my first visit, I was impressed with the quality of the service. I came back two weeks ago to get a mani/pedi. Again, the service was consistent with what I experienced in previous visits. This is a nice and clean little spa. It is very small but it is beautiful on the inside with a truly relaxing atmosphere as opposed to the hustle and bustle of a typical nail salon. I only had the medi-pedi service and was able to be scheduled very quickly. The staff were polite and attentive, and my pedicure was great. For me the price point is a little high so I probably won't be back. I can't speak to their other services. read more

Disappointing experience. Went for a pedicure that was advertised as "up to 75 minutes" on the website. It took 45 min, still charged full price. Worst of all, they cut my toe with the buffer tool and I was unable to relax because I couldn't ignore the painful cut. Still hurts the next day. Won't be going back. read more

Avoid doing business with this spa. I purchased an expensive gift certificate for my wife's birthday along with one of my daughters. The owner asked for my wife's name and wrote it down, and sent me an email receipt. Living in a house with kids, the written gift certificate disappeared, but of course we never used it. The owner refused to make any allowance, saying that someone else could turn in the gift certificate. This makes no sense (to avoid this, she could easily number them) as she not only had my wife's name when I registered, but I also had the email receipt that showed we paid for it. Certainly there is the chance that someone could misuse the gift certificate, but have better tracking then (since you ask for who the gift certificate is for). Additionally, she should ask if the good will that is being destroyed in basically stealing my money is worth it. I will never use the spa, my wife will never use the spa, and I will tell anyone I know that lives anywhere near the spa in Vienna never to use it. My mom ran a skin care business for 20 years in Alexandria, and intangible good will is a key component for a small business. Her behavior is completely short sighted. read more

The spa is beautiful and clean, and the staff are all really nice. I asked to have a modified gel French manicure which they were able to do - sadly the gel manicure did not last very long and was peeling and chipped within a week. I don't think it was the nail techs fault though - I'm not a fan of the brand polish that was used and I didn't see any OPI products to request instead. Came in for a much needed medi pedi and manicure. Used a gift certificate I received on Vakentines Day with no problems whatsoever. The spa is super clean and customer service was amazing. I was well taken care of and my nails look great. The medi pedi was everything I was looking for. I have diabetes and have to take care of my feet. Also have to be very careful. I did my nail technology education with Lisa at her beautiful spa. She tells you up front what is expected of you during the course with step by steps instructions. She was very informative and was always accessible when I had any questions or inquiries. Her assistant Yonis was of great help too. Her kit for the practical is amazingly organized and I passed both parts of the test the first time. Great place for a pedicure. Staff are really nice and friendly, especially the lady at the front desk. My feet felt and looked really good, was happy with the large color selection they had, enjoyed using the massage chair, felt really relaxing, the place was fairly quiet at 3pm on a Thursday, which was great. I have been coming to Sesen Spa for over 5 years. I was first attracted to this spa because of their sanitary practices...they use new sterilized tools (that come in sealed packets like dentists use) and disinfect each pedicure bowl for each client. I have used every nail technician here and can recommend all of them. If you are looking for nail art, Cristina is a true artist (she even does nails for famous designers runway shows during New York Fashion Week). The nail technicians have been here for years, and they are all skilled and friendly. The spa always greets you with a glass of infused water, and they often have little treats like fruit or cookies. I've tried the signature massage too, and it was one of the best massages I've had. It incorporates Thai massage and Swedish techniques. You'll definitely want to make an appointment. They have a loyal following, and don't rush you through a service just to get to the next client. This isn't a walk-in kind of place, but they still might be able to accommodate a last minute booking. read more

I loved my experience at Sesen! I have been twice and both times had Tunga work my mani/pedi. She is amazing! Very thorough, sweet and does an amazing French pedi!! I HIGHLY recommend her! Her foot massage is on point! I second all the comments: cleanliness, great atmosphere, wonderful amenities! No cons! Its tucked away but I like that because it adds to the whole sereneness experience! I have really enjoyed coming to Sesen and will be a regular customer. BTW: One of the things I like is the ability to tip secretly. They give you a small envelope and you put your tip in there.
