Went here for the first time - Anna was my nail artist. I arrived right on time and was greeted by an Arab woman at the desk; she offered me refreshments while I waited. My appt was at 5 and I got started with at 5:15. She apologized for the delay and expressed gratitude for patience. She started me with my pedicure, and handed me the colors to select from. I loved my pedicure (and this was my first ever pedi!) : foot bath was lined and clean, water temp was nice and Anna made sure I was comfortable. She took her time with my cuticles, talked to me to get to know me, and told me about other beauty services at the salon. She also put on the massage chair for me and clarified some details about my Groupon (see below later in the review). She took her time with painting my nails, which I got simple white gel on my toes. She massaged my legs and gave me a hot towel. Afterwards she moved me to the other table to do my manicure, which I selected a baby pink gel color and she took her time on this as well. I let her select the shape to do, so she filed me down to a square almond. I appreciated that she took her time and didn't rush bc all my nails are clean and even. :) I had a Groupon, and she stated they use the Groupon to get exposure and obtain customers, and honor the Groupon price in store. They recommend customers not purchase the Groupon and just tell them they saw it online so they can honor the price and get 100% of the cost, otherwise Groupon takes over half of the money from the Groupon and also discounts the service further than the price the business set. In the Fresha app, I noticed their price for a regular mani is $30 and pedi is $40. For gel it's $50 and $55 respectively. The Groupon was for a regular mani and pedi priced at $105 and discounted to $78. So I paid $78 for a "discounted" mani pedi when their regular price in the app and website is $70, not 105. Even tho I technically paid $8 extra, she applied $15 for the mani and $15 for the pedi since I wanted gel. Overall, I would return bc I love how my nails came out and I had a relaxing experience, without feeling rushed. The service from the staff was great quality! In the future I wouldn't purchase the Groupon and would rather just call or book directly to avoid up charges and confusion on the pricing. read more

Not only did she skillfully address the damage, but she also delivered an outstanding haircut that breathed new life into my hair. Her expertise and professionalism in handling unexpected situations left me impressed and grateful. She was so kind and positive, she was able to keep the original length of my hair and skillfully get ride of the burn with layered cut. When the incident happened I thought I have to get a boys short cut and never imagined anyone would be able to help me. This is a great low-cost option for manicures, pedicures, and just me-time in general! I went in on a rainy holiday Monday, and there was only one other person in at the time. (I get it, we don't care how our toes look in the dead of winter...but I knew there were a few 70 degree days in the horizon and I was excited to wear sandals!) I went in for a pedicure ($26) but the woman convinced me to go ahead and go for the spa pedicure. I'm glad I did--for only $4 more, I got a whole salt-scrub experience for my lower legs. They have a great selection of colors and nice massage chairs to sit in. The woman doing my toes was very kind and personable. Remember to bring cash to tip! I walked in for a quick pedi, and ended up having a gel mani, a spa pedi, and scheduling a hair appointment for next week! The lady who did my mani, Lynn, was super friendly, and explained how gel polish worked, compared to the regular polish I was used to. The lady who did my pedi, Ann, was super thorough, and used this really yummy orange scrub on my legs. As I was paying, this woman got in line behind me with absolutely GORGEOUS hair, and I was like, okay, I need your girl's name. Mine just moved to Virginia Beach, and I'm so not about that kind of commute, even if she was good. Turns out her stylist is one the ladies there, and I'll be seeing her on Friday. Not the place I usually go to get my nails done, for good reason. But I only needed to get the gel removed from my nails and this place was right next to my gym, so I called and even made an appointment for this 5 minute removal process. When I got there they put the foil on my nails and then I just sat there as they helped everyone else, even though I asked them how much longer I'd have to wait. After 20 minutes past my appointment time, I took off the foil and left. This place doesn't care about happy customers, they just left me sitting there and couldn't have cared less when I walked out. read more

This is my second visit to Act II. I never like to make appointments because usually I go all out on a whim after a long/bad day at work. Act II takes walk-ins and I've never had to wait, even when it has been super busy. The ladies will stay late to finish your nails, too, if they need to. This review, though, is mostly about the pedicure spa treatment for $40. Holy moly! Absolutely the best pedicure I've ever had, and I've gotten it twice here. First, they let you soak if all the attendants are busy. Next are the typical nail treatments and soak, but then you are treated to a massage, sea salt scrub, mask, warm towels, lotions, and the best foot rub. I've been disappointed before by the length and quality of what I've paid for, but not here! It's worth every cent! read more

Do not go here! Today my friend and I went to get highlights done. We should them photos of what we wanted. The service there was awful. Our results are so horrible! As you can see the highlights I wanted(first photo) looks nothing like the rest of the pictures I will include. My hair is now yellow and has pink strands.
