After three weeks of terrible service, or lack of service, I emailed them. Below is my email and under that is their response. Hi Madelyn, Your company came out to tear out some damaged flooring and drywall on August 7 and I have been left in the dark since. August 7: Estimate emailed to me by Dennis. I emailed back the SKU and photo of desired replacement linoleum. Have not heard back from him that he has received it or the status of my claim to this point. August 13: I emailed Dennis because I still didn't hear back if he received my email and he has never contacted me after sending me the estimate. August 14: I called to check up with what was going on. I left a voicemail. August 16: I called and talked to Jennifer. She said she would talk to Dennis and get back to me. She called me later that day to let me know she talked to Dennis and he apologized profusely for not getting back to me. According to her, he said drywall has been all booked up and that is what they are waiting for. She said if I knew someone who does drywall, maybe they could do that part of the job for your company so then ServPro could come in and do the floor. She said someone would call me on Monday, August 19, with an update, but that call never came. August 27: I called to find out what is going on with the drywall crew and to find out if there was an update as to when the work would get done. I was told all of the project managers were out of office, but someone would call me back that day. She said not to expect a call in 30 minutes because that wasn't feasible since they were all out on jobs. NEVER got a call. The last time I needed ServPro's services, the communication and work done were great. I'm really disappointed as I had expected the same quality of service I received last time. Here was their response: I apologize for the late reply, I was in an all-day meeting. I was able to speak to Dennis about your claim and it sounds like the re-build side is about 5 weeks out in being able to start the process. I apologize about no one getting back to you, but if you have another company that can help with your repairs we would recommend them using them due to how far out we are. They started okay the first week, after that they started having no shows, would not return phone calls, left our home torn apart through the holiday and no hot water for two months. Worker won't answer or return calls. Try to call management and they conveniently just step into a meeting every time I call and never call back. Worst service ever! read more

Completely dissapointed with their remediation of a small water leak we had. They failed to clean their workspace, 5 days later they finally sent someone back to clean up their mess. Even after that they left a plug and foreign material in my floor drain they had put there to stop things from going down it. Its very unprofessional to not clean up your worksite. We had sheetrock dust all over our floor after we had just cleaned it up from the water and disinfected it. They showed themselves to be very unprofessional. Their motto is "Like it never even happened" and that's pretty much how SERVEPRO of Gresham treated us. Like the meeting we had 6 months ago and the estimate they submitted 4 months ago and the finished we selected 3 months ago NEVER EVEN HAPPENED! We finally fired Servepro from the job today because they made ZERO progress in 6 months on the restoration of our bathroom and basement after a flood last March. We've been passed between multiple project managers (Ian and Travis) who didn't understand the scope of the work defined by the previous project manager and estimating had no clue what the existing conditions were, even after 2 site surveys. The final straw was the non-responsiveness to emails or voicemails for - over 2 months - about when work was going to commence. Additionally they padded the estimate with work that didn't need to be done. $2k for drywall patch and repair and repaint? The drywall is in perfect condition. It's the carpet and padding that needs to be replaced. Our house has been in disarray for 6 months and SERVEPRO of Gresham behaves "Like it never even happened." Based on the other review I see, I'm glad I terminated the relationship for fear of further destruction and headache. read more

My in laws sold their house in Oregon City and the inspector found mold in the attic. Servpro from Oregon City was very helpful. They went out same day we called, looked around and did measurements and some kind of testing and sent us the information and price that evening. Two days later they were back setting up and getting the mold taken care of. House sale went through and both sides were happy. read more

Absolutely the worst company to provide mold abatement. I wouldn't hire these guys again if you paid me. Check out the pictures I posted. The term "a pictures is worth a thousand words" best describes what went on here. If you don't believe me hire them and find out for yourself but don't say I didn't try and warn you. read more

Used Servpro in SoCal, couldn't have been happier. When I needed a small amount of mold remediation, called Servpro of Gresham. HUGE mistake. Bait and switch tactic on their pricing. Was told the $150 inspection fee would be applied toward any work done. After the work was done, we did not receive credit for the fee. When asked about it, the response we got was that most people don't pay the fee on day one so they leave it on the work bill. When pointed out that we DID pay on day one, the response was basically "too bad, maybe you shouldn't have, do you want your all clear letter?". Cannot recommend a company like this to anyone I know. Too bad too since I work in construction. read more

Unimpressed. Unless I am calling them bugging them. Nothing is getting done. It rooms over 10 days for them to get to my house just to remove the fans. They say they are coming and then they don't show up and then a week later say they did. My insurance company suggested I not go through them for the rest of the work to be done. I am noticing there aren't good reviews on here either. read more

Not sure why so many 1 star reviews for Servepro Gresham. When I called for estimate, SP estimator arrived within an acceptable amount of time for scheduled appointment. SP Estimator did look tired and overworked at my late afternoon appt., When he did not take my $150 deposit for removal of mold / mildew in attic, I thought I would not hear from Servepro again, but to my pleasant surprise, description of work and price was provided in the timeframe the estimator told me, 12 hours later, I then paid the $150 for estimate, applied to final cost of job. Still somewhat worried after reading all the bad Yelp reviews, mold / mildew removal technicians showed up as scheduled and completed work. read more

When disaster strikes and you need restoration services: look somewhere else! I called Servpro of Gresham for water mitigation after discovering a plumbing leak in my newly renovated home that sent between 3000-5000 gallons of water from the upstairs bathroom into the basement soaking everything in between. Having called multiple water mitigation companies Servpro of Gresham was the first company that was available and showed up. Other companies were either not equipped for this size of project or unavailable at the time. Within a few hours they were able to pump out and drain the water that had collected in the 900sf basement which at the time was a shallow pool about 9" deep in places. Overall a job well done. Next came removal of the wet lath & plaster and drywall. It became obvious and rather quickly that Servpro of Gresham was not qualified to do this demo work. Servpro of Gresham haphazardly prepped the area prior to the demo work despite my urging to protect many areas of the home that had just been renovated. Newly installed and finished wood stairs to the basement now have gouges and scratches from lath getting under the cardboard that was quickly laid over them. The duct-like tape they used to "secure" the cardboard has since pulled the paint right off of the walls unaffected by the water. While removing the lath they dinged and scratched up my clear wood finished doors jambs that were either just installed or just refinished. Wood columns in the basement are left dinged and damaged. I later found a broken window screen they had removed so they could get debris out from the basement window. The same windows now have sills that are dinged, scratched and pretty much toast. Overall, quite sloppy demo work. For this reason I asked Servpro of Gresham to stop the demo work to prevent further damage to unaffected areas. In addition Servpro of Gresham has been slow to respond to phone calls and not great at communication. They removed the lockbox with key from the front without letting me know. I had to find this out not from Servpro of Gresham but from a subcontractor that called me because they couldn't gain access. After leaving a voicemail and hearing back from them a day or so later I learned they had left the key outside somewhere hidden. Poor communication. read more

We are so glad to have seen these reviews before it was too late. After waiting two months for unreturned phone calls and emails, and waiting for ServPro to finally start a job, they dumped us! Said WE were too difficult--but we think the job wasn't big enough for them. Once they realized the insurance company paid us directly and we held the purse strings--and I started questioning some things on the estimate--I mysteriously received an email from Ian Bjorklund the next morning telling me they won't work with us. It seems like they did us a favor! To be fair, however, when they were originally called out to do mitigation work for a flood (the insurance company contacted them) they were very good, quick, and pretty attentive. So, perhaps their mitigation side is good, but the restoration side seems to be the pits. Our experience is consistent with most others on Yelp, and Google. read more

BEWARE! I think this business just scams people. I'm selling my home and both the real estate agent and the home inspector told me to expect to pay around $2,000 for mold mitigation services. The first company I called was SERVPRO. They charged me $250 to come to my home and do an estimate. First, the service person that came to the home was unprofessional and rude, but that is not even where my frustration comes from. The technician popped his head into the attic for a total of 5 seconds and says that it will be $10,000 - $11,000 for the service. Of course, I'm floored so I called Servpro offices and the receptionist basically told me that the realtor and home inspector that have advised me what this repair would roughly cost...have no idea what they are talking about. I immediately called another company, Certified Indoor Environmental, which offered to do a FREE quote the very next day. Keep in mind that SERVPRO came on Thursday. I asked for a formal quote on Friday and was told it would take 3 business days to receive my formal quote. I called them on Monday, nothing. I called them on Tuesday and finally received the formal quote....$8,375. I called them back and asked to speak to a manager. Her name is Kerri. I was told she'd call me back that Tuesday. Nothing. I expected her to reach out Wednesday....Nothing. I called again on Thursday and was told I'd get a call back....Nothing. So here I am....its Friday and I'm pissed that no one will call me back or address the fact that they scammed me for $250 for an outrageous quote. Side note, Certified Indoor environment gave me a free quote and the quote came back at $1,295. Well that is a no brainer $1,295 or $8,375? So long story short....Don't waste your time with SERVPRO. They take your money, give terrible quotes, have terrible customer service, and don't care about your experience or care to make it right. I had a very bad experience with this company. They were hired to remove the salvageable belongings from my home after a fire. They lost some of my property and instead of being apologetic and compensating me for the lost property, they have been combative and have yet to pay for the lost property. I was forced to file suit. They have turned a mistake on their part into a long l, drawn out battle. read more

Worst experience of our lives! A small kitchen dishwasher leak turned into a 8 almost 9 month repair. After which the company charged us for 5,000.00 more then work performed. A bill was sent with no breakdown of work done and we had to prove that we had the work done by other contractors on our own. We had to call continually just to get the scheduling of the little work done they did at all. I would never recommend this company! read more

When my condo flooded, they approached my HOA as some heroic "here to help" company. Because of high volume they made us wait almost a month before removing the damage. The mold smell from the carpet was too horrible, so I removed the carpet and pad myself, and took it to the dump. When they finally got to the damage removal, it took them about two days. In that 2 days, they claimed the did over $11,000 worth of work (over half my insurance for the clean up and rebuild). When I looked over the bill, there was a fee of over $500 for removing carpet and padding. When I called to correct this, since I had removed that myself, the jerk on the phone insisted that although he wasn't there, he knows his crew did it, cause they would t lie about that. Liars, thieves, and generally evil people who prey on victims of natural disasters. Never again, and I tell everyone to avoid them like the plague they are. read more

I was just driving down Stark Street on August 11, 2016 and a Servpro truck almost sideswiped me. They continued down Stark weaving in and out of traffic and above the speed limit. I got the first three numbers of the license plate (502). If there work is as careless as there driving, I wouldn't hire them. read more

I had to use these guys back in Nov when a brand new washer of mine was installed incorrectly and leaked everywhere. Initially the guys were pleasant and relatively easy to deal with, except everything was on their schedule with little accommodation to mine. When the ripped up my floor they also ripped up my trim and ruined it (this had not been damaged by the water). They also caused some dings in my walls while moving their equipment around. Since then I've been trying to get ahold of someone to settle the account and nobody seems to know whats going on. I have not received a bill or even been told that Standard TV & Appliances liability insurance is paying for it. I left a message last week with one of the managers for the billing department to call me. No call yet. I called today and apparently they just went to lunch. This is the same pattern when I was talking to the customer service/front desk gal who never knew what was going on and said she would call me back but never did. This has happened at least 4 times, and everytime I call them. read more
