I had my roof replace by this company in 2008, with a 30 year warranty, now I been having problems with the roof and they refuse to fix it, even though it has a 30 year waranty, they claim that they bought the company, and they are not responsible, so now i have to hired some other company to do the repairs, the roof still has 12 year remaining of the warranty. people out there don't hire this company! We called to have a leak inspected, they showed up and wouldn't even go up and look. They said call someone to clean the gutters. I scheduled that, 3 weeks later the gutter cleaner shows up and tells me there is nothing in the gutters, they're clean. $200 later, and wasted efforts I call to get inspected. Now a month has gone by with WATER invading my home, making the damage 10x worse! They show up, see the problem and never call back with a quote. I call to ask, and they TWICE don't return the call. Ended up using Roof Life of Oregon and within 3 days, problem solved and PROPER. This company is greedy, doesn't communicate, or care. They don't want your business, they want your money. From initial contact to roof completion the service was great. After filling out the contact form on the website I was contacted very quickly and we got an estimate set up. Jeremy took a look at my old falling apart roof and sent out the quote. After I reviewed it, I had a few questions that we spoke about over the phone. He also suggested I replace the weathered gable boards at the same time since later replacement would require extra work due to the new roof being already installed with drip edges partially covering these boards. The bards were in pretty bad shape and actually only 1x6 versus the stronger 2x6 they would install. I told them to go for it and they had a crew out the following week to get started. This "company" is sketchy as hell. Five years ago they put on a new roof(sheeting and shingles). Since then we have had several leaks. The first time they came to repair it, the guy doing the work told me the crew that had originally put it on had used the wrong cap and that had lead to my roof leak. Well , no biggie people make mistakes right? Right. But then they send me a f*cking bill for the shoddy repairs, rather than deal with small claims court I pay the scum bags. What comes next. Being a home-buyer a second time around gave us more challenges then our first home buy. A new roof was needed ASAP and aside from Lisa, Jeremy was the first in-line of contact. I contacted Jeremy ending of June. The roof was supposed to be redone early July, but due to complications being in the sellers-market I had to postpone to August. Jeremy was very responsive and was more than happy to answer all my questions. He and his team were very patient and understanding when it came to scheduling and doing my roof. Do NOT Use This Company! Their roofers peed off my roof creating a yellow stripe along the public sidewalk because the company did not provide them with a place to "go". The roofing nails were uncovered, not layered by shingled as required. The yard was left a mess with nails and trash all over. We had to get another reliable company come out to evaluate the work and force AA 'WRONG" way to do the job over. Horrible customer service and work ethic. Our rental property got hit with some bad wind and we called to have them check it out and do any repairs that were needed. The man on the phone said he would have someone out in 2-3 days. After a week, we had not heard anything so my wife called to make sure it was done. The woman on the phone said she had no record of our project on file, but proceeded to send us an invoice for the job anyways. We spoke with another gentleman that said he knows that "he dispatched his crew out there... but would make sure they got out there to fix it asap." We checked again to see if the roof was fixed before we pay the invoice and they have not even come out to look at the damn thing. How can you send an invoice for something you have no record of doing, and then tell us you will resend the guys out to repair it and don't? Needless to say we now have to find another company to do the work we wanted in the first place.. hoping that there is not additional damage from the rain we have been getting as of late. I called to try and have somebody come out and look at my roof to see if it needed replacing because I was noticing some leaks in the ceiling. When I explained the situation the lady on the phone asked if I had gone into the attic to look around. I had not because I only have a crawl space and I am unable to personally get up there. She told me that I needed to check out the attic before she would send any of her guys out because she didn't want to waste their time! So I said ok thanks anyways I'll try another company. I just had them replace a roof on my house and I have to say it has been a pleasure, and other than having to give them money I would rather spend on tropical vacation, it was extremely painless. They got the work done fast, it was moderately priced, and they picked up after themselves pretty well. The one issue I contacted them about after the fact, which had nothing to do with the roof, they were here with in an hour getting it fixed up. This company did not do our roof. They did our neighbor's roof and while they covered and protected our neighbor's plants, they did nothing to attempt to protect ours. As they peeled the old roof off, the debris dropped onto one of our trees, breaking a sizable limb off the tree so it was no longer symmetrical. The debris also extended over onto my driveway. When I pointed it out to the guy who was in charge, his comment was, "Well, I've got to work here." He sent one of his crew down to move the majority of debris from my driveway, but did nothing to further protect my plants and trees. He told me that if I had a complaint, I should call the company. I asked him if he had a card and he said I could get the number from their trailer that was parked down the street in front of my neighbor's house. As I was taking pictures of the damage, I could see no one on the roof near where I was standing. Suddenly, a piece of old shake roofing struck me in the head, bounced off my shoulder, hit the sidewalk next to my driveway, and struck me in the leg. The piece did not just "slide off the roof" as it landed on me approximately 8-9 feet from the property line and about 12 feet from my neighbor's house. They guy saw that we were upset and said that the owner of the company would be coming by at 1:30 pm to talk with us. At about 1:00 pm, a man rang my doorbell and asked if we had an issue with AA Rite-Way Roofing. My wife and I joined him outside to discuss the damage to the tree and the negligence of the crew in throwing debris off the roof without making sure there was no one in harm's way. As I was trying to explain to him what had happened, he started talking before I was finished, telling me that I shouldn't have been standing in a work area. I told him that no one from the company had come to our house before beginning work to say that debris would be thrown from the roof and that, if there was a child at our house, it would be very easy for the child to be playing in the area and have debris fall on them. I told him that it is the responsibility of the workers to make sure that no one is below where they are discarding the debris. The guy's response was indifferent. He accused us of being rude because we raised our voices while trying to talk with him and he wouldn't listen to what we were saying. He insisted that the reason I was struck with the debris was because I was standing where the debris would slide off the roof and that I should have known better. When I again pointed out that I was on my property, not my neighbor's and that it was 8-9 feet from the property line, he insisted that when I had my roof done, debris from my roof landed on my neighbor's property. When I tried to to explain to him that such a thing did not occur, and that my roofer All Roofing Eagle dropped the old roof debris into a dropbox in my driveway, he said he had "been doing this for 30 years and he could guarantee me that that is not what happened." Given that he wasn't here at the time, I don't see how he could possibly know what my roofer did. He then said, "I'm not going to argue with you." I explained we weren't arguing, but he wasn't listening to what we were saying. I asked him if he had a business card and he said, you have our office number. I said I would like a business card, since he didn't even identify himself and tell me his name. He said he didn't have any business cards on him. Still no name and he didn't look old enough to have "been doing this for 30 years." He offered to pay us $100 for the tree. I told him I wanted a tree of the same size to replace the one they damaged and he said, "Well, find one and give us a call before you buy it." We agreed to do that. As he started to walk away, he again accused us of being rude. We will see if this is resolved to our satisfaction. read more

10 years ago we hired them to do a complete tear off new roof. it was awesome. then this year when we contacted them it has been horrible. we had an appointment with Jeremy on august 29. instead someone named Jessie showed up. he was under the impression he was supposed to recaulk the chimney, nope we were looking for a quote. I used to rate these guys higher but I haven't had a great experience the last 2 times. The last time they had a sales estimate guy come out and not one of the actual roofers, and then they were in and out and forgot to do one thing I had asked them to do. They didn't bill for that part so I let it go. This time they had a really young guy come out and he seemed to act like I couldn't possibly know anything about roofing or what I wanted. He seemed to think there wasn't any options for better quality products unlike my conversation with them the prior time. Just called the office and they can't help me unless I know which guy I was in contact with. Why is that? There's always a problem like this when a company runs their office like that. They should have a customer list/file and now what's going on without relying on the individual repair guys to do everything without a failsafe. read more

Absolutely outrageous bid and customer service. I requested a quote for a small 800 sq ft cabin in Welches. I realize that this is a small roof but they should have been just honest with me if they didn't want to do it. Instead the guy Steve sent me an outrageous bid for $9000. When I called him to clarify the bid he basically said it is a small job for them and not worth their time. Even the email I received was incomplete sentences so I could tell he just wanted it off his plate. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! We were referred to AA Rite-Way Roofing by my in-laws, who had their new roof installed by them. They were so pleased, that they suggested we use them. We had them install a new roof, on our 100+ year old home. They removed and hauled away our 3+ layers of old roofing. They installed all new plywood sheeting, felt/tar paper, vents and beautiful roof tiles. They were able to complete the job in 3 days, with new gutters. They did such an amazing job! I called to get a quote and they sent someone out the next day to give an estimate. Jeremy showed up when he said he would and gave a fair price. I had a few other quotes from other companies that were a bit lower but they didn't include anywhere near the amount of things that AA rite way was doing; hence the higher bid. I decided to go with AA rite way because they were by far the most professional and stuck to their word. They showed up the day of when they said they would and had the whole roof tore off and cleaned up by the end of the day. The next day they had the roof finished in about half a day. When I called around to get estimates to repair or replace my roof Jeremy was able to come out the same day! The other eight companies I called told me that they were too busy, or that I lived too far for them to travel. Oddly enough, Jeremy had the furthest to drive-- from AA's office in Gresham to Brightwood (15 minutes east of Sandy). Of those eight who I called, I was only able get one other company to come out to my place. Although AA's bid was to do a more complete job, the other company's bid was significantly more expensive. Jeremy made multiple trips out to my place to prepare for the job, during the job, and after the job to ensure it was completed as I wanted it to be. And his workers performed the job very completely, quickly, and they cleaned up after themselves (which isn't the case with most contractors I've used in the past). I'd highly suggest AA roofing--and Jeremy specifically--to anyone I know who needs work done on their roof. read more
