I noticed a little bit of flashing lifting up recently and called them about it. It's been two years and wasn't sure what to expect. They responded instantly, came out and fixed the issue, put in some screws with grommets instead of nails to hold the flashing down against a steeply sloping roof. Another contractor saw that water had come in in the past. Gresham roofing came out to inspect. He spent time checking things out and spent the time explaining what he thought. He just suggested that we get a roof cleaning to remove the moss but didn't think the leak was a continuing problem and estimated that our roof had 5-10 years more life. I was happy with his time and did have the maintenance done by Gresham Roofing. It was a reasonable price and it took them roughly an hour. I recommend this company to others. read more

I never heard back from them about scheduling so I called the office as well as the guy that came out, multiple times, and was blown off. The last time I called he said that they were very busy and they "should" be able to schedule the work and he would call in a month's time. Surprise, surprise, I never heard from them and eventually got the work done by someone else. Why come out and waste everyone's time if you have no intention of doing the job? Lester from Gresham Roofing was just great! I had them work on my home in April 2019. I called them when I noticed a leak around the skylight in our kitchen. They came out the next day. The technician went up and looked over my roof. Then they came down and went over what this issue was with me. It was great because they took photos to explain exactly what was happening. They fixed the problem and even cleaned my skylight while they were up there. We will be needing a roof replacement next year and we will definitely be calling them to install our new roof. I really didn't want to have to leave such a bad review but I did not have a good experience with this company. As a disclaimer I will only be talking about their customer service as I was not able to ever book them for any repairs or other services. I called and requested a quote for painting, power washing, and a few small siding repairs. After receiving their quote and quotes from other contractors they were one of the most expensive quotes by far. I decided I would go with them for the power wash and repairs and have someone else do the painting. I called and spoke with a receptionist and she said she could book that for me and set a date of July 7th. An hour or so later I got a call from another receptionist and she said there was a mistake and I could not have those services done on July 7th and I would have to wait for an updated quote from Nick before I could be put on the schedule. I wait for a call/email for over a week. Nothing received. I called the office again and spoke to another receptionist and explained what happened and she said, "I'm not sure what's going on, I'll look into this and call you back today." I never got a call back. I called the next day and spoke to the receptionist again, this time she snidely told me, "you have to talk to Nick about scheduling". Never once before during any of the four phone calls I made was I told I had to speak to him directly. Had I known this I would have gladly called him. I had sent him an e-mail in the middle of this process as well and he never responded. So far it's not looking good to get my appointment set before the July 4th holiday weekend. I finally get an e-mail back from Nick today, July 3rd. He let me know if I only wanted a power wash and fixes I would have to wait until October because they will only do these services in conjunction with painting at the moment. I would have been happy to book all three but since I was quoted nearly $4,000 more by them than another competitor who said the repairs I needed were out of his capabilities I wanted to save myself a little cash and get what I needed done. Apparently they will only prioritize you if you're willing to lay down nearly $8,000, too bad I am a working stiff and wanted to save myself some money. All in all I wish I would have had a better customer service experience. I called and requested a bid to re-roof my house over 3 weeks ago. A follow-up email was sent to me confirming the appointment. They informed me I would get a return call/email within 2 days after his visit. The employee did not arrive on the date promised but the following day without ever calling to inform us. Left his card. I called a week later and was told I would get a call as soon as possible but the employee was out in the field. Never received a call or email on cost of the job. I am fine with the company calling or emailing stating they don't have time or don't want the job. But his is completely unprofessional, not impressed. read more

Hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor in 20 years Called in Feb. soonest they could fit me in was in March - which made sense because we had an ice storm in the area that damaged a lot of roofs including mine One of the employees (Nick) came in March to give me an estimate for moss removal, repair of a leak in the back repairing some Chimmney flashing and recoating a flat portion of the roof in the front of the house. When i got the estimate - I noticed it didn't mention the flashings or the front of the roof - so I called the office to ask about it. I was told by the office (and later by Nick) that the estimate did in fact include the flashing and putting a coating on the front of the roof but that they couldn't add lines to the estimate and it wouldn't fit. Seemed odd but I agreed to the estimate A few days later I call to see when the work would be done. Oddly - the voicemail box at the office - in the middle of the day during the week- was full. Nobody answering and no way to leave a voicemail. They said this was because their receptionist quit (looking at Facebook posts seeking a receptionist- that had happened about 3 weeks prior). The only way I was able to finally reach them was through Facebook messenger. Finally I get a call back telling me they will get me on the schedule in the next few weeks. We are now in mid March. I don't hear anything for the next two weeks. So I call. Again - middle of the day - office phone goes to voicemail so I message the estimator. He said he would have a crew out at the end of the week. Another week passes - I hear nothing. I messaged again - this time no reply. Call the office the next day and call the estimator. Finally get a call back. No apologies offered. He tells me he thinks he can get a crew out sometime next week. This irritates me a bit because we had discussed the roof work being done prior to some chimmney repair work being done (which was also scheduled for that same week). Either way - I reluctantly agree to move forward - but before hanging up I recap what it is they will be doing. Thats when they pull the bait and switch and tell me they never agreed to do anything to the front portion other than clean it. Actually he laughed when i mentioned it. Haha. Hilarious. Unbelievable. Needless to say - they won't be stepping foot on my roof. read more

Contacted these guys for some roof cleaning and cap replacement. They were able to schedule me within a week to look at the job and give me a quote. They came out on time and explained how they did the job and by the next day just as promised they provided me with a fair bid. I had multiple bids and most of them didn't even come look or show up on time. There's a lot of small roofing companies out there who don't even have a process for bidding on jobs and seem to just throw out prices or search for "bigger jobs." I would say Gresham roofing has a good process for setting up appointments and following through on the bid process. read more

Episode 3. Lumber replacement. SO we started out with a few soft area and ended up replacing much more than required. In a way, it's cheaper and easier to replace a full 16 foot long 2 x 6 tongue & groove piece than cutting out a few feet that has modest dry rot. The labor is faster and materials were not all that expensive. But anyone else with this kind of exposed open beam ceiling should be aware a LOT OF DEBRIS, sawdust, wood scraps and dirt will rain down as the decking is cut. Stapling heavy plastic up to catch the raining debris sometimes works... and sometimes does not. Extra effort is worth it. The 4" of sawdust on top of my 1972 Pioneer stereo does not look good. Actually the work goes fast. Would have gone faster if the actual workers (only two) had all of the proper materials on hand BEFORE work started. I hate that part. Rain coming day after tomorrow... hope all gets done soon. Maybe I can help to speed things up.... maybe not. Next: Insulation & Dens Deck (a sort of sheet rock). More later. I am so darn glad that I went with Gresham Roofing and Construction for our re-roof! From start to finish the service and communication couldn't have been better. At our first appointment, I was told "we'll leave your home exterior cleaned up better than we found it", but I didn't actually notice how well they followed through with that until this morning (I kept staring at the great job they did on the roof. That might seem like a minor thing, but during such hectic and uncertain times, it's nice to know there are still companies out there that standby what they say. They promptly sent out a nice man to balance ever so precariously atop a ladder on our slopetastic home front, insert hand into gutter, pull out a debris catch and solve our issue in less than 2 minutes. Always seemed fair, were very easy to work with, and 2 years later I am still quite pleased with the results. On Super Bowl Sunday I had a roof leak that flooded my dining room. I called my original contractor and they were to "busy" to tarp or repair my leak. I called Gresham Roofing and they responded within an hour and professionally tarped my roof and sealed off the dining room ceiling.
